I'm surprised that the yeoman warder didn't demand to know who was supposed to be responsible for these youngsters and reprimand them. They can do that, it's part of their job. There was one occasion at the Tower, that you can see on UA-cam, where a tour guide was explaining something to a group of foreign tourists in their language and was completely oblivious of being in the way of a group of guardsmen who were marching through - it must have been a Guard for the Word. In spite of being yelled at several times, he and his group didn't budge. The Yeoman Warder got very angry and had to shout several times at the guide to stop him talking and take notice. He demanded to see the badge of the tour guide and his official number. I imagine that the tour guide in question would have been subsequently banned from coming into the Tower after that.

I'm still waiting to see my former colleague from my RAF days, who is now a Yeoman Warder in action giving these little scrotes some grief.Keep up the good work guys.
I really scratch my head at this kind of behaviour. Didn't they learn anything at school about The Tower of London and it's significance in the history of Britain and Europe, they must have come across the Queen's (now King's) Guards and why they are there, in their history lessons. The King's guards are real soldiers serving in the armed forces and are actually on duty, they are not blokes off the street, dressed up in fancy dress, playing soldiers for the tourists and public alike to make fun of. So very disrespectful, its really shameful and embarrassing seeing this here.
Over here 🇺🇸 In Arlington Cemetery is the tomb of the unknown soldier. The guards are there 24/7 365. They DEMAND quite and respect. You stay behind the ropes and mind your manners. They also yell very loud to any offense. They couldn’t pull that over here! ♥️🖤♥️
They are called Yeoman Warders, not Beefeaters. The Guardsman is a Welsh guard his buttons are in fives and he has a plume on his bearskin on the left which is white green white. I am an ex Welsh Guardsman and have done many duties on the Tower of London.
Didn't recognise the language, but wherever they are from and whoever was supposed to be in charge of this group needs some lessons in manners and respect.
Better late than never. Why go to see history if you have no respect for it. I would have stepped in.. vile disrespectful kids, need a lesson in manners!
Just remember that these are serving members of HM Armed Forces, not "dolls" to be mocked. That Guard/Soldier is carrying a L85A2 rifle with Bayonet, he knows how to use it and it can kill people. Lets see if you are that brave now?
The guards are not mere toys for the tourists to gawp at, they are serving soldiers in the British Army and have seen action in Afghanistan as well as other hot spots. The Brigade of Guards are the creme de la creme of the British Army. Try messing with the guys at Arlington Cemetery, they don't mess around
I really think the guards are so famous around the world people don't think they are real guards , my Great Grandad was in the Queen's Cavalry, Im betting they didn't get this disrespect in those days .
I think these idiots who act like this don’t realise that these Guards are real Soldiers with real live loaded Sa80 rifles . They are not actors and they deserve to be respected . Our Guards protect our king and country and pay the ultimate sacrifice during conflict . Well done to the beefeater .
I wonder how these tourists would react or behave if these soldier/guardsmen were to appear at their posts in full battle dress uniform instead of the traditional red coats and bearskin headgear.
I work at the Tower a lot. This group are German students with their teachers. I don’t know why the Yeoman warders took so long. Why couldn’t the Welsh guard have said some thing?
Ok, so maybe I'm missing something here. Aside from a couple of silly kids in the foreground around 5:00 leaning on the fence (who defintiely should have been corrected by someone who noticed, including the cameraman), what was so disrespectul and rude about the group? They didn't cross the fence, throw things, shout, make fun of the guard, or say anything untoward that I could hear. Further, when asked to move back, they didn't whine, bitch, moan, or complain; they just complied with what the guard told them right away. Frankly, for a herd of teenagers, they seemed fairly well behaved (again, as a group). If it's a matter of standing back from the fence to not crowd the guard, well frankly, they should move the fence outward to where the guard is comfortable, yeah?
BUSKA, this is like the barrier they needed on Easter weekend when Karen AKA Sandra Wilson was tormenting the horses and guards. What’s the difference between here and there?
@@busk1976 Oh dear boy, I have just heard on the radio here that woman in Liverpool was arrested for thinking of disrupting the Race there today. She was charged with being a Public Nuisance. THAT is what 'Karen' is being so why is she not in court ? This woman was also in a public place. So.... come on, she HAS to be arrested. No pussy footing around any more, enough is enough.
I have wondered why they can’t put markings on the pavement on horse guards around the arches to stop tourists approaching the horses and guardsmen ...many would ignore it but surely it would half the over crowding that happens now! Or have someone with an electric cattle prodded on duty!
Kids are so ignorant. They must be there with a youth leader or someone because there's a large group of them. Why the heck didn't they tell them to shut up and clear off?
Well done that Yeoman Warder, our troops should not have to face such abuse from disrespectful gobsh1tes. A pity it took so long to get him some relief.

The gentleman (ex sergeant major) taking us around the Tower told an offensive racist joke to the group not realising that some were not British. He was pulled up and apologised. Let's get our own house in order before picking on young foreign kids.
Could someone please explain to me what they were doing that was rude? I'm not 100% clear, from what I can see, was it that they were standing too close, and not letting other people in?
Exactly, they were doing nothing wrong, just looking from behind a fence. They were being kids. The man with the video is so desperate for them to do something and when they don't, ne makes up click bait titles to get views.
@@nektekket852 They seemed, and this is just my own (perhaps alternative perception) like a bunch of good school kids, on a school trip, being a little bit naughty and cheeky, (which is the norm for a lot of school kids on school trips) their behaviour did not seem extreme in anyway, and to be honest I'd go back to my original point, not sure exactly what it is they were doing that was rude. Disrespectful, yes. Rude, yes. Also silly young teenagers who are showing off in front of each other. The adults are obviously not in control of the children, they are allowing them to be very rude and giving a bad impression of the school and the country they are from. Probably playing on their phones and not supervising their charges.
They do it because they know the guard isn't allowed to introduce them to the delights of hospital food.
Why aren't the people in charge of these kids stepping up? Absolutely appalling.
Would they disrespect serving soldiers from their own counrty- probably- this displays contempt for those that sacrifice and serve
Behave the same way in school ! 😒
That's a great call yes a lot of them do no respect
I see the cannons and am reminded of a method of execution called "blowing from a gun". Kids like horror stories. Maybe a demonstration for them? Now who is going first. 😈😂
@@ghostladydarkling3250 Sorry you feel this way. What a waste of thousands of years of great events which have shaped our world.
@GhostLady Darkling nonsense.
What was worse is that at 1:33 the Guardsman salutes the officer, but the Officer did not salute back. Bad form!!!
So much respect for the guards, wish I had that kind of patience
Sign of the times, tik tok generation...going nowhere sadly.
Over here 🇺🇸 In Arlington Cemetery is the tomb of the unknown soldier. The guards are there 24/7 365. They DEMAND quite and respect. You stay behind the ropes and mind your manners. They also yell very loud to any offense. They couldn’t pull that over here!
♥️🖤♥️
He is doing something those idiots could never do
Bet his parents are so proud of him .😢
I know he’s a soldier, but this must be intimidating.
Wrong word…disgusted but never intimidated.
I doubt very much if the soldier feels intimidated. It is more like, he would like to lock'n unload in front of those clowns
Not intimidating, just boring
Why oh why do we keep letting these things happen? No where in the world would put up with this amount of disrespect.
My father was a career NCO and so I was being taught respect for my elders and authority from the day I started solids. 😎
How can they look at these soldiers that long, what’s the attraction?
They are called Yeoman Warders, not Beefeaters. The Guardsman is a Welsh guard his buttons are in fives and he has a plume on his bearskin on the left which is white green white. I am an ex Welsh Guardsman and have done many duties on the Tower of London.
Sadly this is the way the youth today are, not just here but, the entire Country.
Didn't recognise the language, but wherever they are from and whoever was supposed to be in charge of this group needs some lessons in manners and respect.
French
Then they say re-join the E.U.
😳😳
Austrians. There is some French around, but these disrespectful guys are speaking Austrian dialect.
Better late than never. Why go to see history if you have no respect for it. I would have stepped in.. vile disrespectful kids, need a lesson in manners!
Having had children I made sure they had respect. I have to wonder why parents do not instill good manners anymore. Instead of instilling intitlement.
Just remember that these are serving members of HM Armed Forces, not "dolls" to be mocked. That Guard/Soldier is carrying a L85A2 rifle with Bayonet, he knows how to use it and it can kill people. Lets see if you are that brave now?
They were right not to mess with Andy Merry, former Royal Marine Commando
That kid in the blue jacket is the instigator of the trouble and rudeness
They forget these guards are hardened veterans. It would not end well for them.
I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth closed. I'd have to say something to them
I wonder how these tourists would react or behave if these soldier/guardsmen were to appear at their posts in full battle dress uniform instead of the traditional red coats and bearskin headgear.
Well their faces have gone viral...are these young people really our hope for the future?🇬🇸
Beavis and Buttheads IRL.
They cant its a public street
@@busk1976
Oh dear boy, I have just heard on the radio here that woman in Liverpool was arrested for thinking of disrupting the Race there today. She was charged with being a Public Nuisance. THAT is what 'Karen' is being so why is she not in court ? This woman was also in a public place.
So.... come on, she HAS to be arrested. No pussy footing around any more, enough is enough.
@@busk1976 So King Charles can’t rope off the guards from the public who take so much abuse from tourists, he can’t protect them? Isn’t that crazy?
I have wondered why they can’t put markings on the pavement on horse guards around the arches to stop tourists approaching the horses and guardsmen ...many would ignore it but surely it would half the over crowding that happens now! Or have someone with an electric cattle prodded on duty!
Wonder how their parents would react if someone came into their workplace and disrespected them😤😤😤😤😤
Kids are so ignorant. They must be there with a youth leader or someone because there's a large group of them. Why the heck didn't they tell them to shut up and clear off?
What is with all these disrespectful teenagers lately?Don't parents teach respect anymore?
The children are just out of control these days, my neighbour has a 5 yr old little boy and he shouts and screams at his mother all the time.
There no British there from another country
The group might not be british but they reminded me of gangs of kids that hang out in town centres and abuse shoppers
@@Bluediamond200 he needs a good slap! Why is this no longer 'allowed'?
They are French actually
Well done that Yeoman Warder, our troops should not have to face such abuse from disrespectful gobsh1tes. A pity it took so long to get him some relief.
I attended the "keys cermony" a few years ago at the Tower. The gentleman (ex sergeant major) taking us around the Tower told an offensive racist joke to the group not realising that some were not British. He was pulled up and apologised. Let's get our own house in order before picking on young foreign kids.
Correct
Bloody disrespectful need the
Could someone please explain to me what they were doing that was rude? I'm not 100% clear, from what I can see, was it that they were standing too close, and not letting other people in?
Exactly, they were doing nothing wrong, just looking from behind a fence. They were being kids.
The man with the video is so desperate for them to do something and when they don't, ne makes up click bait titles to get views.
They were disrespectful in the extreme, if you don't want to respect our customs, stay away.
Anyway ho hum
Would I be accused of stereotyping if I took one look at that kid in the purple jacket and cap (seems to be the ringleader of the trouble makers) if I said I bet he spends the rest of his time trying to steal cars and rob from local shops?
Those Kids Wanted the guards to shout at them, so I am glad he didn't.
Now if the guards were in camouflage would those kids be cheeky, don't think so
Disrespect 😳😏
Instead of observing the fact the kid is being disrespectful I would have told him to move on myself.
If we ever had to go to war and the youth of today were sent into battle we would be Doomed
These kids should not be allowed near these guards
I can’t understand why the public are allowed so close. Many are disrespectful of our traditions.
Disrespectful, yes. Rude, yes. Also silly young teenagers who are showing off in front of each other. If they had adults with them, they are the ones who should have reprimanded them and explained why the sentries are there and the discipline it takes. Am I the only one who watched this and thought that they’re probably not bad kids, just juvenile? They will probably all grow up to be nice people and if they look back on this, one day, I’m sure they will feel embarrassed and ashamed at their behaviour. I hope so anyway!
I used to work at a motorway service years ago and I always found that the rudest and most arrogant of youngsters were the french, They have no respect, are they not taught this at home or school, or do they not know the meaning of the word.
Well done Yeoman Warder
Good effort Royal 👍
There's no excuse at the end of the day! I know kids want to have a laugh but its down to what they are taught by parents which will determine how they behave in public even with a group of their friends
Mummies little kiddies let out of their playroom for an hour.
The parents watch their little kiddies trashing the British soldier whilst they take pictures of the little brats
WELL DONE MUMMY AND DADDY
Sad really, I have only visited the tower once I think back in 2003, it was late afternoon and the crowds had gone so it was great to be able to see most things that afternoon. These little teens have no idea about respect or history, maybe they should have been taken down to the dungeons and left overnight
That barrier needs to be further back
If I am not mistaken, I am sure that area is where Anne Boleyn was executed on the gallows.
Now there's an idea !!! 🙂🙂
I love the the history of the Tower.
