It definitely do work for some I have a sister who had sew in back to back in two years Her hair went from neck length to waist length . And she kept her sew in for 6 to 8 months
Whoa that’s epic , I can’t believe she went that long with a sew in , that’s record breaking , I might need to try that out , because that’s some massive length retention. Thanks for watching babes
Yea right me either. And it was her first time she didn’t have any expectations that her hair will grow like that .. She was so sure that her hair gonna fall out but to her surprise her hair was so long and thick By the way I love watching your videos and your funny
Yup I did this about 8 years ago. When I put the sew in in my hair was too short for a ponytail. When I took it out a few months later I had a THICK long ponytail.
I know her scalp said 'thank ya 🙌🏾!' I would probably looosseee my mind not being able to get to my scalp good for 6 mths. Niece is better than me ❤. Hold on, niece got serious inches. Baby maam, uncover that crown and ditch that weave ❤. Yeesss you did that ❤. Whered she get her extensions? That really is a good blend to her natural hair.
Some questions for you. How long did you wait before you reinstalled? Did you trim her ends before her next install? Asking bc I’m using sew ins to grow my hair rather than braids and I’m trying to better educate myself. Lastly…what u said about 1. The stylists energy asking how their day is; 2. Knowing how a stylist is properly installed so u know if urs is ok and; 3. Finding a stylist who wants to grow ur hair…AMAZING TIPS! I found mine, my crown area is very sensitive and sometimes braids are incredibly painful, my stylist asked me at the start of every braid if it was too tight, but the 3-4 braid she got it, same with the sew down, she used a net but she still checked how tight it felt in my sensitive areas before continuing…it was such an awesome experience. ❤
I’m so happy that you found a stylist that cares babe 🤗 as far as your questions about a day or two , it could have been same day because there are no need for breaks , but it’s my niece and I was too lazy to do everything in one day for free 😂 no I didn’t trim her ends no need to she just grows all year and maybe she will request a trim you should check out my video “stop doing trims “ very interesting. Your going to have thick long hair , sew ins are a great tool to get to long hair just be mindful how you remove it I have several videos on proper removal. Good luck babe 😉💋
Yes finally!! Girl I subscribed so quick ❤ I have been trying to grow my hair and my edges back. I started back doing my own hair because the hair styles I was getting, was pulling my hair out.
I like the braiding pattern. Out of curiosity has your niece thought of using a v part wig instead? Also I love your commentary you had me laughing out loud 😂
Thank you babes , it’s a very easy go to pattern and I am sure she would consider trying it but she honestly doesn’t like wigs she like the security of having the extensions attached to her head . I am glad you enjoy the content babes
@@cocaknotz Forgot to say the length is lengthing, her hair is stunning. Watching this I am considering using a v part wig and crocheting the leave out. Would only leave in for 4 weeks.
Good rule of thumb when the scalp is itchy , they should be misting there braids within the weave and adding drops multiple times per week, but if no itching to signal a wash shoot for once a month with proper drying some people like to wash their sew in 2 times per month and some can go a whole install without washing in between and that’s fine to but It’s risky letting your hair go that long but as long as it’s removed right it still should be ok 👌
@@cocaknotz thank you 🙏🏽. I find my take down very tedious once I moisturise and wash within a protective style so am really considering to not wash for 2-3 months if I can
