    What determines the hair texture is the number of disulfide bonds in the hair strand. The more crosslinking in the protein fibers then the more curly the hair.

    Okay please do not come at me for this question.. I do my husbands mothers hair ( she had a few strokes a couple years ago she taught me everything I know about doing hair before that) every two weeks mostly in plates or some twists… I am white (obviously) she is black. I also do my husbands dreads. I say all of this to ask respectfully do you think I could get a protective hair style like this .. I have extremely curly hair I use the same exact products on my hair that I buy for my husband mother.. but I recently got very sick and my hair has been falling out and getting then and I don’t know what to do! I’ve just started using baby don’t be bald but I want to do more natural things

      @@danacoen9780 thank you darling for your question 💕yes you can get a protective style like this , and a net would be best , for fine wavy/straight Europe textures , also as long as a little braiding hair is used under the net , your hair textures will be able to have a sew in , but I recommend you redo it every 4-6 weeks 🫡 yes switch to natural oils my dear I have over 13 , because your hair is not coily just use a pea 🫛 size amount of heavier natural oils and butters 😉 goodluck on your natural long hair journey, and welcome to the long hair society

    While wearin a weave, over time , will spraying the base weave braids with softened conditioned water cause your natural hair in the braids to mat? If yes, how do we prevent the base braids from matting?

    • @cocaknotz
      @cocaknotz  9 місяців тому +3

      Hey babe , no your hair will not Matt my love , leaving it dry will make it easier to break when removing it , your just giving a light mist not enough to wet your hair just enough to prevent your hair from drying out , the softened water is basically oily water and will keep your hair moist enough not to break . And don’t be afraid of matting too much just learn techniques to remove Mats safely , our hair mats everyday we just need it to not permanently mat

      Don't do that, they will turn into dreads! 4 months tops if you now how to oil, moisturize and detangle properly.

    • @cocaknotz
      @cocaknotz  9 місяців тому +2

      Hey boo thank you and welcome to the long hair society 🥰 I would gradually test my hair I would never go ten months with box braids they will get very heavy and pull and tug and break your hair, unless you plan to do a touch up in different areas of the braids every 2/3 months . But I would say for box braids maybe 3 months tops and then redo them , you have to see if your hair density and texture can go that long . Her hair density could handle six months because she has very course hair . If after3 months your hair is still in good shape then you know next time your hair can handle 4 months . And so on keep me posted if you decide to do 1 year that would be one hell of an experiment. And btw 10 year journey is wonderful your hair would be literally knee length, I love it 🥰

People need to respect hairdressers now a days.... cause yall know hairdressers get messed up all the time.... that should not happen they work for themselves.... stop trying to undermine their hard work..... the good ones anyway, and we know this is a great hairdresser.....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
