  • Hello and welcome to Scale Stuff, in this weeks video I am going to be taking a look at the Tamiya 1:35 scale Hanomag half track, sd.kfz 251
Tamiya kit number 35020 or series 20
This is an older Tamiya model kit released in the 70's and because of this is not up to the same level as a lot of the newer model kits
However this kit is 55 years old and very cheap and I feel that it deserves some slack as an OAP
The kits got a tonne of problems with accuracy which I go into more detail on in the video, but over all I still think its a enjoyable build but will not appeal to those looking for perfection from a model kit
I also point out a few things to keep an eye on and speak about things that I think that this kit does well, like the fantastic pick your own half track decal sheet
anyway I hope if you are building one of these at home that you find the video helpful

For anyone starting out in the hobby or people like me, finally getting to grips with an airbrush, this kit will do fine despite it's deficiencies, thanks for the review.

Deffo, its a perfect paint mule, not going to break the bank and enough detail to have a play with. Glad you enjoyed the video mate

I built this kit a very long time ago and enjoyed it throughly back then 😊 Your version looks great, even though it might not be 100% accurate it still looks good.

Cheers mate tbh with some kits I think you have to just be like its good enough, perfection can be expensive also. but I do want to make a more accurate one at some point just ot play spot the differance

Nice review. Have built this kit way back in early 2000s. I placed a 37mm anti-tank gun in place of the forward machine gun - thought it looked cooler. Awesome camo job on that kit!!

'Overall, though i found the build process on this model simpel and easy, apparently because half of it is not there'. That made me cough up my coffee..😂

Could you shoot me the length, width, and height please?
I'm looking for a proxy for my 40k Ork Trukks.
    Thanks

Its 16cm long mate, 5.5cm high, and 6cm wide. Would be a big ork truck but probably just passable as the ork version of a 16 wheeler

@@scalestuff1066 A bit longer, and a little less wide. Thanks man.
