- We all assumed that because Sheldon Cooper is special, he has eccentric habits. And one of those habits included knocking on a door at least three times. But boy, were we wrong to assume that! Turns out, there's a whole story behind that ritual.
And today we finally have the answer: It wasn't another woman. It was Sheldon's mom in a wig.
Really glad they saved George’s reputation

Sheldon and Penny are such great friends together. He doesn't have the same relationship with any of his other friends as he does with Penny
She & Leonard are his co-best friends. They tag-team relating to Sheldon & trying to help him.
I would say its more of a sibling relationship because as much as sheldon annoys penny, she always looks out for him.
Sheldon and penny relationship is like sheldon & missy, he see sister figures in penny
She reminds him of missy and Leonard reminds him of Georgie which is why he tolerates them so much

I've always loved how Penny relates to the guys. She simply accepts them, with all their foibles and geeky interests. Whenever they say something geeky, she simply smiles.
I have noticed that Penny is the only one who calls the rest of them sweetie or honey. I guess growing up in Nebraska made her more folksy.

He cared for the family a lot made many sacrifices loved everyone nd protected them. The script was very badly written. Not really, sure it's inaccurate that in ys it's after summer break while in this clip he says it was spring Break but that could simply be explained by events being jumbled in Sheldon's memory

I'm saying it's clearly a laugh track and not a live audience like Kyote was implying. A live audience doesn't sound like that, and wouldn't laugh every time they saw the same joke get recorded.
That last sentence "I'm sure you're right" really underscores that there are some things where Sheldon respects Penny opinion and acknowledges her.

Y'know a lot of people, including his own siblings, accuse Sheldon of never caring. That said, I like to think that, given the fact that he said he's never told that to ANYONE, a small part of him didn't want them to be hurt by it, regardless of whether they eventually found out or not.
And he's also concerned about "becoming" his father and hurting Amy. He does care. He just doesn't express it in traditional ways.
Young sheldon makes this fact hurt worse because we know he was raised not lie or hold secrets.
So now we know that Sheldon's dad never cheated 😂
That was a brilliant bit of writing. They gave Sheldon this quirk, yet explained it in a rational way that was surprising, and gave it the gravity and weight to drive home why Sheldon picked up the tick.
I would agree if it weren't for the absolutely tasteless and inappropriate use of the laugh track.

It's entirely possible Sheldon believed his mom was at bible study and not in the bedroom with George Sr. Mary could have been spicing things up wearing a wig perhaps and Sheldon was mistaken.

In the latest episode of Young Sheldon, this came to fruition... Sheldon and Mary arrives back to home from Germany and Sheldon's dedicated apartment in the university has a roommate. Sheldon Plays the roomate's videogame throughout the night and conquers it without cheating so he arrives home in the late morning/afternoon. Mary is with George is in their bedroom sexually cosplaying as "Helga" in a German dirndl (interesting as that Heidelberg is not in Bavaria but not far off in Baden-Württemberg ergo the dirndls would not be there being traditionally Bavarian) and Mary cosplaying speaks to George seductively in a German Accent. Sheldon knocks and seen George with "the other woman"
Case Closed with a sigh of relief.

After today's Young Sheldon episode (7x04), this story lost a lot of it's emotional weight.
Yes, it was probably Sheldon biggest sad moment and they just ruined it because they didn’t have the balls to follow BBT and making Sheldon childhood tough and sad, instead they just make an other family sitcom where everyone is likeable while Sheldon is just a jerk.

This clip illustrates one of the biggest failings of the show: Not knowing when something is not funny. Sheldon gives a good reason to one of his unusual habits, on a touchy subject and its effects of his childhood and his relationships with others...and the show hits the laugh track.
Why? Because the writers think this is funny. They think that Sheldon's realistic childhood trauma is hilarious, and the way he is trying to avoid hurting others more hilarious. Considering that the writers tried to use Asperger's Syndrome to explain Sheldon's personalty, mocking his ordeal feels cruel.
But hey. He's a geek. And the show thinks any trauma a geek gets is funny

They didn’t even knew if there where gonna be 7 season of Young Sheldon. So yes, at the time George was cheating, but they changed the plot when writing the last season of Young Sheldon because we like George that’s it.

In a short biopic about the disparities of what we know from TBBT and Young Sheldon they mentioned that George is described as a really hard and harsh character in TBBT. However, they chose not to have him be abusive and argumentative in Young Sheldon as those producing the show didn’t feel that it would be received well by audiences (new and old). It makes it a more kid friendly show.
Ysh but i think its good to have flaws not all people are just bad .. Most people sometimes do bad things just doesn't make them the whole personality

I have a theory, after Sheldon left for college Mary had no one to focus all of her energy on , and she and George drifted apart because she didn’t know what to do with herself
That’s a likely reason since they were kind of together as they both worried about how to deal with sheldon with George worrying about how people would “tolerate” him and Mary seeing him as a kid still

@@bryanperez4061 that makes since because in Young Sheldon we learn that George and Mary only got married because Mary got pregnant with Georgie (Sheldon's older brother). While I do believe they loved each other I think the only reason they stayed together in the end was for their kids and how divorce was perceived back then (especially in Mary's church).

From what I able to understand, makers did wanted to show George having affair with Brenda.
However the character of George turned out to be quite wholesome and larger than life with fans.
That made the infidelity angle bothersome to them.
To mitigate this, they relied on Sheldon’a ability to be unrelated narrator and give it a hilarious twist.
PS- I am personally happy that George and Mary didn’t cheat on each other at this stage of the show.
Though I am not sure if they did in any of previous seasons.

It just occurred to me that out of every member of the show every single one of them was a genius on some form or another. Everybody thinks that penny is a dumb one but it just occurs to me that she is a social genius. She is the only one of the group who actually legitimate social skills and the ability to adapt to new environments. She used that skill to become a sales genius make a ton of money. You don't need a doctorate degree or even a masters wink-wink Howard to the a genius and successful. It comes to mind as I see her giving intelligent advice on relationships to Sheldon
Penny is the one that can Sheldon to open up on stuff he never tells anybody. Even Amy. Which is a reason I feel that she has some jealously on their close bond.
