The camaraderie between family of unpacking and joking around and talking about hunting, that is what true camaraderie is. I mean, sitting with your dad, you're the table, watching him. You are so lucky to have your sister and your dad with you hunting, those are true family time memories You can't never forget that. I want to thank you for sharing that video with everybody it brings back a lot of memories when I used to hunt with my friends unfortunately, a lot of them I have passed on, but it's the memories that I keep dear to my heart. I hope that you will still be able to get back up and get a deer during rifle firearm season, but unfortunately, if you don't get one you're still able to sitting out and enjoying the outdoors, and you'll still have the memories of up there with your sister and dad that you can never replace. Enjoy, this was our firdt season without our dad, RIP. So it was just my brother and I. My mom used to do the same. Chili, goulash, stroganoff, breakfast was light, cereal. This year we told her not to worry about it. Enjoy the time with your dad, you never know when the last season you will all ne together.

I hunted 8 days straight, probably put 40 hours in my stand before I harvested a buck. I was getting ready to quit because I wasn’t getting an opportunity. Saw lots of does but did not have a doe tag. Hunting is hard work but the rewards are worth it. Thanks for posting your hunting experience.
I just came across your video when you and your sister are at the hunting camp with your dad hunting you should cherish every moment that U2 are there with him here in Pennsylvania? The hunting season is only for two weeks. I turned 12 years old. My dad took me hunting. Got a six point. he had a friend of his do a shoulder mount for me seven months later he passed away cancer. he was 44 I will never forget the little bit of time that we went hunting together when you and your sister and dad was sitting at the table I started getting tears in my eyes bringing back memories of my dad and I’m 53

Nice traditions. We always hunted our own farm, so our camp was our house. That house has since burned, so we built a seasonal use cabin on the same site. We’ve had as many as 7 at camp, but it varies for all the reasons. Sadly, Dad passed in 1980, so those days are increasingly distant memories. My sons have come a few times, and the racks from 15-20 of the successes are on the walls, so newer memories are accumulating. I envy you your dad being there with you! Great camp, great video.
@ And while it’s smaller, it’s a lot more modern and comfortable! We still have the same view of the valley that prompted them to build on that hill. And more deer than in the 1970’s. I just wish the folks could be there with us.

Everyone thought the deer stopped moving at 8:30 so they came out of the woods for breakfast or a smoke break. I snuck down the access road on foot and shot a buck munching on acorns just above the 100 yard berm.) Thanks for sharing.

So far, I've been skunked. I saw 7 deer. Bumped 'em all. I didn't get to hunt much during rifle season. Two mornings and one evening. I'm going back home again for Christmas, and I'll try to get in some time in with my crossbow for late archery. I've decided to do that instead of late muzzleloader because I've never gotten a deer with my crossbow. Bucket list item.
@@living.different Well, I'm not as young as I used to be. But I still like to get some venison for the freezer. That was a nice spike that your sister plugged. I hunt for meat. Always have. That's the way that I was raised. Antlers are pretty, but they don't make good stew.

I'm fortunate and one of the guys at my deer camp lives there full time (it's an actual house, not just a shack). He has a smoker, Blackstone, and grill, so we do prime rib, steaks, crunchwraps, and just eat like kings.

nice video, nice place...friends and I now hunt in boxes as well, with a heater on a propane tank 😁, it's the only way to go in northern WI
