    Very nice work on processing that deer , the knife I've used for years is Kershaw blade trader, and after skinning i wipe hair and stuff off with a half water and vinegar mixture.

    Canned deer meat over white rice with broccoli. Was a once a week meal when growing up.. Great video as always!

    Pressure canned venison is delish. Makes great stronganoff. Smaller pieces are less stringy - info for future canning. Good work lady!

    Great job😊. I gather roadkill too if it is fit for use. Your commentary on the dignity of using the animal to feed you and your family vs letting it rot on the roadside is spot on. I prefer canning venison over other methods of preservation. I also can chicken (drums and thighs) when I find good deal on it.

    You’re so lucky to have such a wonderful Dad and Mom! Growing up we never got to do anything, no camping, no fishing, no hunting. Dad wasn’t into anything but doing for himself. Later he was a alcoholic, miserable be thankful for your family❤

    It’s so nice to have family to help ! I want to put new flooring vinyl and can’t get anyone to help , and the cost is way above my budget . I have plywood floors and thought about painting them . I had carpet but will never have carpet again. Maybe one day🙄

    Ya here in Montana if you hit a deer or elk you can take it or if someone want it they can take it or they have send some out to get and it take awhile now like brother and mom have over the years hit 4 deer and they would not bring them home and I don't know why or they can call me and I will come get it but they have not done that yet

    Get a Havalon and replacement blades and a 6" Victorinox boning knife. That's all you need regardless of the species you work with. I'm sure you know but wide mouth jars are so much easier to clean! But all in all a job well done.

    I feel compelled to say "thank you" first, for inviting us into your home. Have you heard of a Peltier chip? We found some fans that run on these. We set them on the wood stove to blow heat off the stovepipe. Might be useful for an off-grid setup.

    I have had many different kinds of knives and Outdoor Edge knives with replacement blades are a game changer. For boning, I use a good flexible filet knife like a Rapala. Also I use quart size ziplock bags for ground meat. One pound in each bag, squeezed flat with no air instead of tube bags. They store in freezer flat and thaw much faster than the tubes. One more thing. Use your kitchen aid to make pasta dough. You are an awesome woman! I hope whomever you share your life with fully appreciates you.

      @@living.different Basic Egg Pasta Yield: 1 1⁄4 pounds dough 4 large eggs 1⁄2 cup water 31⁄2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 Tbs oil 1 teaspoon salt Process: Place eggs, water, flour, oil and salt in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater. Turn to Speed 2 and mix 30 seconds. Exchange flat beater for dough hook. Turn to Speed 2 and knead 2 minutes. Remove dough from bowl and hand knead for 1 to 2 minutes. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Divide dough into 4 pieces before processing with Pasta Sheet Roller

    Victorinox best knives you can buy and they arnt that expensive 6in semi stiff blade rosewood handle. Been a meat cutter for 18 years only knives ill buy.

    Touch works to burn them hairs when your done skinning it or right before you cut it. Works great and then wipe down with wet towel works pretty good

    We have the exact same grinder we bought it off northern tool about 25 years ago and it still works awesome. We have ground many deer with it. 😂
