New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASF...
Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear. This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 2002-2009 Dodge Ram 1500.

This is a great video. Question: I've heard that the steering knuckle is aluminum, is that correct? If so, should you be hammering on it to break the UCA free? Seems like it could damage it.

I'm working on my uncle's 2006 dodge ram 1500 4x4. I ordered the front suspension kit from you guys. It came with upper ball joints.
I see what appears to be a solid ring on the bottom of the ball joint but I'm not sure if that's just the bottom rim of the ball joint.
I don't see a snap ring at the bottom of the ball joint. I'm assuming it can be removed since the upper ball joint is sold separately.
Any advice before I proceed with this job? Would like to record it for UA-cam. Thanks!
