I think that Tomyam soup thing is a Malaysian take on a Japanese Oden (Fish cakes in a spicy soup made famous by Family Mart 24 hour Japanese convenience store). Tomyam itself is a Thai Spicy and Sour soup... So there you are... Truly Asia Malaysia...
I am from Cebu, Philippines
I am gonna straight to the point.. I really loved Sabah especially Kundasang❤️ I don't care what everyone say about sulu.. That was embarrassing me as a filipino.. Sabah is beautiful 🇲🇾💙
Thank you for your respectful comment! 🙏🏻😁
Let the politician solve their problem foryou and me we friend
Definitely team milo! Great seeing another video but oh my gosh right at dinner time- my mouth is watering again!!! Sabah looks amazing, loved the beginning commentary and the aerial footage. The floating mosque, so beautiful too. Great content. Thank you.
Look at all those channel member emoji’s! 😂😂 thank you Christina! It really is a must visit! Such a beautiful place 😁😁😁
I was in Kota Kinabalu 2 weeks ago and unfortunately did not have a good experience due to the location we chose to stay on. Important to research where to stay beforehand as otherwise you'll need a car (or get a SIM card beforehand so you can order Grabs) for absolutely everything. The locals were amazing to us though and I'd like to come back in the future and see the other part of town :)
I’m sorry you didn’t have the best experience!! In my opinion you definitely need a SIM card for any place you go and we have used grab cars mostly everywhere we have gone! Haha so I’m not surprised about that but also it’s pretty normal!
It is a bigger town so definitely have to see what you prefer to stay around beforehand if you don’t want to have to get grabs 😁😁
So thankful you watched my video! Thank you! Hope your experience is better next time 😁😁🙏🏻
hi Josie I'm from Malaysia Sabah and living in Australia
love your videos...
Wow I’m Australian and was in malaysia! We swapped! Haha thank you so much for watching from my home country. 😁😁🙏🏻
Welcome to Sabah Malaysia...enjoy stay here..
Thank you!!! We love Borneo island! It was a really different experience but so good!
You mean Sabah, Philippines?
@@op6119 pls dont be stupid
@@op6119 you dont even live here, how can you say it belong to the PH? LOL stop dreaming.
and you want to know why so many PH people here? because they are being persecuted in the 60's, running away from war and executions by the former PH president, marcos. they are refuges. not that they are originally from this place.
Please ignore or just delete the comments saying that Sabah is Phillipines. They want us to be part of their country even tho we already voted to be Malaysian
You cannot make a decision without the blessing of the owner of the land and that is the Sultanate of Sulu.
@@OceanSeventhPhilippines soldier killed many Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters which related to Sulu, is that a blessing?
The sultan of Sulu is the landlord that's the reality
I don’t have a personal opinion on this as I do not know the history, I always accept opinions because I have a lot of my own 😂 but I ask that all comments are respectful towards each other please or it will be removed from my channel 🙏🏻
@@OceanSeventh Tun Mustapa very close relative to sultan sulu, he's the one that brings sabah to malaysia.. So i guess Philippines government should not claim sabah. Even through history, sabah never being part of Philippines.
Hello, Apa Khabar, I’m from Pontianak City, West Borneo, I really enjoy your Malaysians videos, and when I have a chance I Looking forward to Visit Sabah, Malaysia 🇲🇾.
APA KHABAR! 😁😁😁 I’m so happy I got a chance to visit your island! I loved our time on Borneo! It was so good! Thank you for watching my videos! 😁
@@josieliftsthings thank you for your reply, and for your information, Borneo Island is shared by 3 sovereign nations, that is Indonesia 🇮🇩 (including West Borneo provinces), Malaysia 🇲🇾 (including Sabah state/region), and Brunei 🇧🇳.
Haha yes we know it’s so cool that all of those places share an island called Borneo! I was confused about how that worked at first 😂 so cool though!
@@josieliftsthings
It's okay.
@@josieliftsthings, here’s a suggestion. If you want… enter Indonesia via Kuching-Pontianak. There’s a bus plying that route. Do make sure you have your papers properly done first in Kuching. From there you have the choice of exploring the Indonesian side of Borneo before you head over via plane to Jakarta and so on.
Take a day trip - at least - to Brunei too if you like. That said… you have completed your three countries tour of Borneo island! 🤩🤩🤩
I am grateful to be a citizen of Sabah, Malaysia ❤️🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾❤️
I absolutely loved Kota Kinabalu - really good city to visit and the gateway to many of the places in Borneo Malaysia

Definitely! Couldn’t miss the island! 😁
Thank you for coming to my hometown and birthplace. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed yourself.
Thank you! We loved our time there! 😁
Stayed in Tanjung aru beach resort a couple of times, absolutely amazing ! Went to all the small islands just a stone throw from the Hotel …. But that was in the early 90s .
I did see one of our hotels were sending the boat to the islands! I don’t think the times suited us though! So they still do it! 😁
Let's get to it! I'm ready to explore Josie! 😎
THANK YOU WALT! HERE WE GO AGAIN 😂😁😁😁
So, good sharing my frnd....😍😍😍
Thank you for watching! 😁😁
For the mosque, they might rent a gown for you to wear to cover your "sensitive" areas. Tom Yam is Thai flavour. Tanjung Aru is the name of the sunset beach. Choco cheese bananas - sweet & savoury. The cheese would be processed cheese, maybe cheddar. You are cute !
Hmm you’re probably right, I did not ask to rent but they did not offer! Maybe I had to ask! 😁
The CHOCOLATE CHEESE BANANAS WERE SOOOOO GOOD! 😂
Thank you for watching Stew!
dont miss out to go round all the island and nature at Sabah Malaysia.. ❤️🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾❤️
We loved exploring sabah! There’s a really nice cafe there called nook. Loved it! 😁
The gorgeous South China Sea was so wide and flat and the blue-domed mosque added to the grandeur of the place. Sabah's signature seafood and locally made snacks seem to be famous throughout Malaysia, making it a unique find for you.
What a lovely comment! Thank you! Thank you for this! 😃
You are not alone😁you come with that handsome guy😂
You have to head over to Kundasang, it's beautiful there... and you can see Mount Kinabalu too and enjoy the cool weather. And cold Milo from a Milo truck, strikes a different note. You can only get them usually when they are at sporting events giving out free Milo to the participants. Best tasting Milo EVER!
I love sabah mlysia

I have never tried Milo, but was wondering if you ever worry about if the ice is clean, as I don't believe they drink the tap water in these places. The market looks amazing and all the fish would be so tasty to try. Loving all your Malaysian vids, new subscriber and will check out your other vids too. Love your energy!

How the weather usually in end December?
0:58 actually , yes , you can go inside the mosque. there should be a problem if you wear suitable attire (we cant look other skin too much, except face and hand(to women) 😁) so some (big) mosque has a building management, so you can asked them/guard to enter at anytime. just ask politely, they should try to help you to fulfil your wish. if they look you attire are appropriate, so you can go in or escort with a guide. else, they sometime asked you to wear their cloth(i dont know english word for it, but look like long dress rope). so, you can go in.✌dont be shy to see and ask around, mosque has nothing to hide. if you want to see their congregation of daily prayer, do come on prayer time, check the timetable on the internet, or when you hear azan(prayer call). no cover charge at all yeah 👌
I was wearing short shorts so wasn’t allowed!!! Maybe I could have rented a sarong? But I forgot to ask!

Sabah is like the "Kashmir" of South East Asia, where 2 neighbouring countries fight for the land. However, Malaysia own it legally via Cobbold memorandum since 1963. While the Philippines try to claim it via obsolete agreement signed long time ago between Sultanate of Brunei and sultanate of Sulu. While Sabahan people's position are more secured with Malaysia, it seems that they gonna lose their right in their own homeland if they are under Philippines. The Phillipines just interested to own the land, but not the people including the aborigines. They believe that Sabahan people now are not the original people of Sabahan, whereas their ancestors already owned the land long long time ago before Sabah being sold to sultanate of Sulu by Brunei. Those who interested to join the Philippines will stay, while those who support Malaysia will be kicked out from their homeland. So, be thankful Sabahan, you are with Malaysia despite of "dianaktirikan" and "projek IC".
Nice 👍..I'm from there too
Lovely place 😁☺️
