A good thing about learning Malay is that it can come in handy in the Borneo side of Malaysia as they are less exposed to English compared to in KL, and or course Brunei/Indonesia/Singapore will be easy mode as they will understand you despite regional differences on the languages.
Other important thing that Rhyss doesn't tells is how Malaysian people and authority really concern about hygiene especially in term of food servicing and handling. Not only in regular restaurant or foodcourt but also include street hawkers and vendors. The owner , sellers , their business license could be revoked , their premises could be confiscated if there is complaint report or food poisoning case related to them.
Fun facts: 1) Malaysians appreciate foreigners attempt to speak Malay, even if it is "broken" Malay. Unlike the Italians, Germans or Dutch who would prefer to communicate in English if you can't speak their languages perfectly. 2) Malay is one of the easiest language to learn, but in Malaysia, almost nobody speaks the "book" version of the language (known as Bahasa Baku). Each region of the country (North, East Coast, South and the East Malaysia's state of Sarawak & Sabah) has its own version/dialect of Malay. The closest dialect to the book version of Malay is spoken by the people in the central region (where KL is located).

Fun facts:
1) Malaysians appreciate foreigners attempt to speak Malay, even if it is "broken" Malay.
The closest dialect to the book version of Malay is spoken by the people in the central region (where KL is located).
ok think this is one of the best vids i have watched on Malaysia , true i havent seen many as they all come across as to polished typical tourist style . nicely done seems to have a good idea of Malaysia , ok have to leave a bit of advise 🤣marrying still wont speed up the PR process by much haaa .. its still a long road to getting your own red IC here .
I know an elderly Englishman but he can hardly speak English anymore and so assimilated with the malay culture he looks local and I only found out later he's actually a white Englishman after someone else told me.
His name?
ini kali pertama dalam jangka sepuluh tahun saya dengar Rhys cakap sepenuh-penuhnya dalam English, memang special kali ini. Tambahan pulak accent-nya pun sikit Malaysianised :)

In Islam, it’s not enough for something to just be halal; how it’s prepared matters, too. The process should be clean, ethical, and respectful of Islamic guidelines to ensure it is truly halalan toyyiban-both permissible and wholesome.

I fully agreed. Wait, I am not a Malaysian. But I can tell you, Malaysia is heaven. Especially I love their abang adik style, power. Very human touch, very discussionable, ps: only apply to abang adik. Not those chinese, yeah? Malaysian Chinese are very "fish up"
