    I have to say, I was not expecting an update video especially one so quickly. That speaks a lot to the power of social media and content but also to the company as they are looking at info and content on their products as they are also so new to the market.
    This is really impressive in their response as well as to correct the issues you had noticed in your testing.
    Great update, I'm sure many will look forward to this info.

      Yeah they also sent a much smaller 1st shipment of the duo because of the 15 amp concern. So if there was an issue they could respond quickly. Almost what you would call a soft launch. The Pro they brought much more on the 1st shipment.

    Verifying the wiring gauge of the entire circuit and upgrading the circuit breaker if you get lucky and already have it installed, replacing the wiring and uprating the breaker, or just installing a new circuit makes the most sense. If you want some access to heavier equipment then something like a 230-250v at 30-50 amp would open up a dryer in the garage, strong euro vacuums, and access to a lot of Asian and EU machines that hasn't had to be re-engineered for a 120v that they don't even use.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  13 днів тому +1

      Biggest problem for me is going 230v in my garage not many would watch the videos as that would be a very small audience. These machines are supposed to work on 120v 15amp without issue so should have to rewire as that’s part of the selling point. My circuit is fine as the break is 30amp just this machine was not designed properly for lower voltage. They have a fix I am testing that is promising.

    • @jinxtacy
      @jinxtacy 13 днів тому +1

      @@CarsWithKeav That's fair from your pov creating content. I think that was more directed towards the people with a home should probably look into having a circuit in the garage with a little more oompf, especially if you're going for more power and you're to the point where you're spending decent money on high powered device. Breakers are often slower than the wires and wires will tolerate extra amperage for a bit as well. Sizing appropriately with suitable overhead seems like something most homeowners should really look to take care to do.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  13 днів тому +1

      @@jinxtacy I just wish we were 230v like most of the world we wouldn’t need to care as much about amps and wouldn’t need a gas pressure washer for the bigger tasks. I guess we are stuck with what we got. Thanks for all your great info and insight. It’s very valuable to the comment section!

    So update on my washr pro situation.. After threatening them with a CC chargeback, I finally got a response to why the pump wasn't pumping with any power. There is a check valve and spring if you remove the water outlet orifice and the spring was literally broken in half. They are sending a couple new replacement springs and I'm really hoping that fixes this thing.
    Even if it does, I don't think I will be recommending BigBoi to any friends or peers online. A company is only as good as their support when you need them and apparently I'm not the only one struggling to get help from them.
    The TSS system stopped working in my Active 2.0 and within I think 6 days, they had replied to my support request, taken my serial number info and put a replacement unit on my doorstep. THAT is the type of support and company I can get behind.
    For me, this is too little too late from BigBoi.

      Customer service is a big thing. I don’t think they were expecting the amount of support tickets they were getting. This is at least the second issue I have heard with the outlet area the other I believe was leaking. I can’t quantify how widespread issues are as we only ever hear the problems. Very few that have a good experience will ever say anything which is expected.

      I have spent the last week trying to get mine to work. Out of the box, it would hum when plugged in and turned on. I sent them a support request weeks ago, it took them a long time to reply and they said to test with volt meter etc. I then plugged this directly into a 20AMP dedicated circuit. The test and reset on the plug end work fine. I can't get any power to the unit, it no longer hums or does anything. The small pop out button on the unit itself (breaker) doesn't seem to be working, it will push in but is just real loose (no its not the nut loose on the button switch, it is the actual switch itself.). I love the concept of this but if I can't get an answer from BigBoi asap, I am going to put a hold on my credit card, send all the correspondence to the credit card company. I do not recommend this to anyone as if something is wrong, no one will help. Even the phone number on their support email doesn't work in the United States.

    The Adams Pro guys had the same "issue" where you have to adjust the hard stop on the unloader. Some unloaders use a threaded sleeve with a jam nut. Thing is it's normal with PW with adjustable unloaders. It's common knowledge outside of the detailing space; they ship from the manufacturer with the unloader adjusted to "safe" and the end user would adjust it in the field.

      Agreed on that, but the American consumer doesn't know any better and will put that dial at max every time and if it can go beyond safe limits thats a warranty issue. Which is why I think they dialed down the Pro. I would have my max setting still be under 15amps. Somebody would have to undo some screws and nuts to screw up. LOL

    Great follow up. Since you are getting updated nozzles for the Duo at 4.2 orifice. Can you retest the numbers with the new nozzles once received on the Active 2.3 as well as the Duo? I bet it will be a good compromise for the Duo and a great option for Active to keep it under in a more comfy state under 15amps as well. Thanks. BTW, which one is the quietest? Rank them in order of loudness… is it Big Boi Pro, AR630, Active 2.3 and then Big Boi Duo? Will the fix on the Big Boi now make it take top spot and replace the Active 2.3 on the shelf?

    • @CarsWithKeav

      It would be cool to try them on the 2.3, but you wouldn’t be able to buy a 4.2 since they are custom sized at the factories. I will redo the numbers and do a full comparison on all of them including the Comet and Ar630. Your ranking on the sound is dead on.

    how does everything compare to the 630?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 місяці тому

      To me the Big Boi pro is just a notch below the AR630 if you are on a 20 amp circuit. If 15amp circuit then the AR is not going to work. I would pick the AR630 just based on numbers and a history of being very reliable. I will have a comparison video out soon with all the pressure washers in this segment.

    Why would my machine get high pulls on amperage and pop a20 amp dedicated circuit?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Місяць тому +1

      So far it all leads to lower voltage than the 4 pole motor can use so it over amps to makeup for the lower voltage and I have had that issue, but mine is on a 30amp so it didn’t pop. I did measure 25 amps after turning on and off a few times it started working again. It is a pretty known issue at the moment, but they don’t seem to have a resolution yet. This is is mostly from voltage drop and they just didn’t design their device to work in the typical American power grid where lower voltage is very possible from the grid itself or the house circuit.

    Great updates, Keav. Thanks for sharing.
    Enjoying my Pro so far. Question for you. My supply hose is a 25' flexzilla. I am running the uberflex 3/8" (I know you recommended I look elsewhere lol.) my question .. The very first time I turned the Pro on (first time using the uberflex hose, as well) ... It turned on for a very short period of time, and shut off as I believe it should.
    I notice now, when I turn it on... It will run until I pull the trigger. It turns off, runs without issue. Is this the uberflex not playing nicely? Don't notice any surging. Just that when I hit the On button ... Seems it just wants to run. Like it is building up pressure.
    Any insight is appreciated.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  2 місяці тому +1

      So it will continue until you pull the trigger or it’s like a few extra seconds? If it’s running until you press the trigger you might have an issue there with the hose expansion. I would think though during a wash you would have that happen a few times during the process taking longer to shut off or start. It being just at start up I can’t point exactly the issue. If it is just running have you tried to adjust the regulator down to see if it stops?

    • @HeadShot1171
      @HeadShot1171 2 місяці тому +1

      Exactly. The pump will run until I pull the trigger, when the Pro is turned on. I am thinking the uberflex hose was not stretched until I used it the first time (possibly why it ran for a short time and turned off, as I believe it should). I ordered the hose you are using in thus video (used your link), and it should arrive today. I will switch the hose and see how the Pro responds. I will also post my findings here, in case it helps someone else. Thank you!
      And to answer your other question, no ... I have not adjusted the regulator. Out of the box, it was set to max. I left it there ... At least for now.

      The uberflex hose (3/8" / 50'), brand new ... 100% the issue. Switched it out to the Essential Wash hose .. Problem gone. Uberflex is going back. Now, I turn the Pro on, it runs for 1/2 a sec and turns off. No longer need to pull the trigger to turn it off (put it in standby).
      Hope this prevents someone from making the same mistake in running an Uberflex. You called it, Keav!
      Just have to remember to bleed out all the air. Lost one of those damn red rubber inserts on my mjjc pro lid. Shot off the foam cannon like a rocket. Lol.

      @@HeadShot1171 I am having the same issue as you with UberFlex. I have the 1/4 version. If i turn the unit on, it kept on running until I pull the trigger with a nozzle in it. It will then stop. Basically, If you take the nozzle out and pull the trigger to get some water into a small bottle, the unit will kept on running until you put the nozzle back and pull the trigger. I went to buy a brand new commercial grade 3/8 hose and it didn't do that anymore. Turn on with or without nozzle in the gun, it stops which is correct. However, the issue I have now is that I get barely any pressure is coming out on my new 3/8 in hose. PSI gauge is reading zero. I took some videos and sent to Big Boi just before I post here. Awaiting their response now.

Why? kranzle uses wobble plate and its not gonna last long compare to Triplex plunger pumps are the highest quality pressure washer pumps, offering longer life and better performance.
