When you turned that on it reminded me of myself passing gas
Lmfao 🤣
It didn’t squeak like the old man at Olive Garden. 🤣
@@CarsWithKeav lol
Hey Eddie 😂 after 2 alcapurrias?
LOL
This great and thanks for running the other nozzles both up and down in size to see where the limits lie for the 15amp circuit and giving some insight into the 20amp side as well. Looking forward to seeing the results from the multiple nozzles on the Active 2.3.
Active is going to be fun. Just initial testing with their stock nozzles is impressive.
I watch these because it's always interesting, but if I were to ever graduate from my Ryobi it would be to the Active ve52. It's 200 bucks on Amazon for nearly 1.9 gpm at 1000 psi. I just couldn't bring myself to spend so much for these other units.
Also free drop test! 14:11
Griots bottle was just showing off said sill drop myself and nothing happens. 🤣 VE52 is the best value in pressure washers still.
I tried to make sure I like all your videos because I appreciate you try to answer our questions
No problem and appreciate that!
Great information Keav. You just can’t not drop foam cannons. At 14:12 the even Griots MJJC hybrid hit the floor. 😂
It has to happen every video now and any foam cannon review. Griots/MJJC hybrid is just showing off falling just to run it in Big Bois face. 🤣
Great in depth review as usual Keav! I have a 2 year old big boi washr flo and have been happy with it but there was no in depth reviews like this at the time so it's good to see how these new units compare to other brands.
It’s pretty good and I wanted to review the Flo, but it never came to the U.S. I actually bought a clone one on Amazon that looked exactly the same, but they stopped selling the Flo and the Clones went off Amazon so I never made the video. 🤣
I had a chance to try out my duo today. Using the stock 4.0 nozzle it did start out at about 16.5 amps. I turned the pressure regulator down just a little and got it to around 14 amps. After about 15 minutes I turned the regulator back to max. To my surprise it was running about 14.2 amps and stayed at that. Now when I hooked up the foam cannon it was well over 17 amps so they are going to have to do something about that. Db level was around 90db. Overall it seems to be a very solid machine.
Very solid machine they reached out to me and are fixing the issues by sending 4.2 nozzles from now on and they admitted the Pro foam cannons were shipped with the Duos and is why they are overamping. Might want to contact customer service if you want a resolution for the foam cannon. Pressure regulator makes sense which is a good idea it is there.
I'll have get a hold of them tomorrow. I tried my Griots Garage foam cannon and that was hitting over 17 amps also.
@@Z22-m5o Let us know how it goes.
@CarsWithKeav I will. Hopefully I can contact them by phone. Last time I contacted them by email about a question with my pre order it took along time for them to get back with me.
@CarsWithKeav Couldn't find a USA number so I sent an email. Haven't heard back from them yet.
Can’t wait for review of the active 2.3. Great review of this Big bio
2.3 is looking real good right now. Ar630 might be coming down off the wall.
@@CarsWithKeav wow! Bold statement
Good golly - I had a huge smile because of the performance and pricing (relative to the AR630). However, it turned upside down very quickly once the amperage was shared. In either case, thank you so much for all the testing (including/especially breaking stuff like that foam cannon) so us normies get a real look at these pressure washers.
You’re welcome and at least you can fix the amp issues by changes a few nozzles. They did reach out to me and said they are working to fix all the issues.
I love watching and taking notes like I’m gonna buy one. I can’t even justify upgrading for my Ryobi because I barely even detail 😂😭
I can't justify upgrading or buying either, but I'm addicted to flow now so here I am. LOL
@@CarsWithKeav well your money is different keav😂
Interesting results. I’m happy I went with the Pro. Time will tell if I should have gone with Actives 2.3. Thanks for doing all these reviews.
i don’t think you’d rather the active it’s not a commercial grade unit, bigboi will outrun it any day
You can’t go wrong either way really. The pro is so quiet and that is a big plus. Active is much louder, but numbers are better.
It’s a pro-Sumer, but after getting my hands on a 2.3 it is very good quality, but will not outlast the pro version just due to the 4 pole motor and triplex pump.
Those are my observations from reading specs. The sounds signature was big for me. The Pro sounds a lot more pleasant. Although I do like how the Active 2.3 looks. Can’t have it all. lol…
@@CarsWithKeav at the price range you provided, I think the best bang for your buck would be what you have mounted (if you’ve got a 20A breaker of course)
I like the numbers though still the weight might be an issue for my setup. Not sure about the noise level, that sounds loud even on video can't imagine in person. It's one reason I haven't even looked at gas pressure washers.
I will look forward to the active 2.3 though the 2.0 may be where I'll end up just for price point and performance.
I knew it, was waiting to see the outakes. Forgot to empty the bucket. Lol I can see myself doing that same thing since you're testing it by weight and not needing to take off the lid, easy to miss the fact there's water in it.
I had to get more accurate my early videos I was relying on the bucket marking which are quite a bit off and over exaggerating GPM. I will tell you the 2.3 is as loud as the duo, but it’s a better sound and less vibration. The 2.3 is significantly lighter as well.
I bought a Kranzle 1322TST a while back and I've really been putting it through it's paces. I think it's a solid machine, not sure if you've done a video on it. Very quiet, good numbers, and well built.
I have not done a Kranzle yet. I will at some point it’s just a bit out of my price range.
Best channel on yt! Colab w/ diy detail break the internet
Appreciate that! Yvan said next time he is in Georgia he will stop by with the bus.
Uberflex makes a 3/8" and 1/4" hose. The surging you mentioned .. Was with 1/4" (assuming)? Did you try a 3/8" uberflex ... And get the same results?
And, I am thinking the additional money for the Pro is worth it over the Duo, in the long run. The Pro runs more quiet, and should run cooler since it's not pulling the amps that showed up with the Duo. I would imagine the Pro should have a longer life .. Especially if bought by a homeowner.
Great video!
Pro for sure will have a way longer life. Have not tried the 3/8, but Active actually responded to a comment on another video that they do not recommend Uberflex due to it not being wire braided. They said the hoses that are very flexible the inner diameter expands and contracts more causing inconsistent flow and pressure for the pressure switch to work right. The wire braided ones keep the inner diameter more consistent. At least that what they say. 🤣
Really appreciate you taking time to respond! Yeah ... Agreed (that's what they say lol). I just received my 3/8" uberflex today. Hoping to try out the Pro tomorrow (make sure there are no issues with the PW).
i wouldn’t believe that
I prove it out in a video and many in the comments had the same problem with an Uberflex and an Active 2.0 or 2.3. Believe what you want though its your right.
14:12 that thing vibrates so bad it created a drop test on that poor foam cannon 😂
I think it was a mix of the Griots bottle wanted to show off a bit how durable it is. 🤣
Thanks for the video! This one is not an option for me. First, it's way too loud. Second, the amperage will not work for me.
They reached out to me and said they are making some adjustments and the wrong foam cannon was packed in the boxes. Hopefully they get it sorted out. Wait for the Active 2.3 I think it’s going to impress.
I cannot wait to see the video with the active 2.3
Looking at it right now and I’m just about as excited for this as I was the AR630.
After trying multiple setups, to me gpm is way more important than psi, so I would go with 5.0 nozzle all day at 570psi over the 4.0 or 4.5
GPM is more important to me as well, but for my liking I don't like to drop below 750 and all depends on how much of a difference it is. It was only a .02 improvement from the 4.5 to the 5.0 which I'm not sure is enough to warrant the lower PSI. Now if it was .1 difference for sure I would go that direction. This is the main reason I use 25 degree nozzles I can get back some of that panel impact you lose going down in PSI. There si no wrong way really its all preference.
@@CarsWithKeav excellent point Keav...
I am with you there. The 4.5 is the best combo then.
But again, I am not sure the Pro is worth the extra $100+
Need to see the real numbers of the Active 2.3 to see which one is King.
Is the Duo rebuildable?
@@gorillanismo Depends on how much you use it and the noise. 2.3 is about as loud as the Duo, but it is a better sound. The pro is very quiet which for some might be the reason to go that direction. The 2.3 has just about everything else going for it IMO. Price isn’t that big of a deal since buying from active is free shipping and no taxes for people in the U.S. so by the time you pay taxes in the duo and shipping you are at the cost of a 2.3. Same goes for the pro you have to add $100 at least for taxes and shipping. I am unsure of the how much the Duo can be rebuilt.
@@CarsWithKeav thanks for this valuable info!
2.3 it is!
Wow you are officially the new pressure washer guy in town. Now with your new tittle comes new responsibilities 😅.
- first we need a Doug score sorry a Keav score
- side by side comparison of The AR, BigBoi, Active and even the krenzla. Here are some categories :
- performance - this is obvious
- noise level both inside and outside garage, this one of the most importan factors for me currently I’m willing to scarify some performance for a quieter machine.
- expected durability
- maintenance and service
-- cool factor ? You get the idea 😅
That sounds like a lot of work. 🤣 maybe one day I’ll be able to focus enough to do that. I just can’t get myself to spend $1400 on a Kranzle, but it may have to happen. I’ll for sure be doing a comparison video on the Big Boi and Active.
Do you plan to review the new Ryobi 1200psi 40V portable pressure washer?
It’s already ordered will be here in a few days!
Do you have a list of power hose washers? That not quite expenses as the Blue Shield but better than the Uberflex
Not much of a list in that price range for a good hose, but this one is good for $73. amzn.to/446nk4V This is also a good option amzn.to/3W9QRsq.
Do you know what the accessories are like that come in the set? Is it worth getting the set for convenience, or buying hoses and triggers separately?
Only the foam cannon comes with the pressure washer. The set they sell I have not tried so I am unsure I do think their trigger gun is a bit bulky looking for me.
Thanks @@CarsWithKeav! Would you happen to have any recommendations on alternative hoses and trigger guns that would be worth buying instead? It's just for home use, car and around the house. I'd rather spend a little more on quality if it's worth it rather than having to upgrade shortly after buying something.
Your channel is great by the way, I appreciate your in depth reviews!
@ I think the Sooprinse gun amzn.to/3CQ1Rnb and an Uberflex hose amzn.to/49wYDS1 would be perfect. It being portable hose length isn’t as important so a 30ft hose I think is just right.
Where do you get all the different sizes of orifices for the foam Cannon?
Amazon is a good place. I have reviewed 25 foam cannons so far so I have an extensive collection. I also have a pin gage set that lets me know the size of each one.
Thanks for the great review as always. Conclusion. This thing sucks. MOST people only have 15amp and no one wants a louder pressure washer. Maybe amps are measured different in AU but to be that far off what's advertised seems sketchy. I think initial sales will be good because of hype but they will see a high return rate. Thanks for Saving me $450. I'll stick with my Active 2.0.
I’ll let you know if you don’t like that noise then the 2.3 might not be for you either. The 2.0 is a much higher pitched sound though. I prefer these industrial sounds over the scream. They reached out and said they packed the wrong foam cannon in the duo box which is why it was so high. They said it was just over 15 amp at the factory, but over time it drops below 15amp, but to me initial ramp up is when that breaker is going to pop. They are going to adjust to make sure it’s under 15 amp. I bet just an adjustment to the pressure regulator.
@@CarsWithKeav great info thanks! Agreed on the pitch but also I think the Dbs are higher too. 2.0 is like 72 and this is 80+? All good either way love the videos man!
I have been sorely bitten by anything battery operated, EXCEPT my ryobi nail gun, all my other ryobi battery stuff is so underpowered, (leaf blower, snow blower) even battery drivers, all suck... I'm honestly not even going to look at a PSI washer unless it is electric or gas, not worth it, no matter what the pro's are the cons far outweigh it. Great channel, love your content keep it up A
This is not a Ryobi though and is not battery powered. It’s just the same colors. All my Ryobi products are great their leaf blower that I use is one of the most powerful on the market. My edgers and trimmers are more powerful than the gas ones I had. Sorry you had such bad experiences though. Hope you find what you are looking for.
Have the unit outside the garage door with the door closed to test the noise maybe?
That is a possibility. I would need helpers though it’s just me. 🤣
@@CarsWithKeav true lol
Would you get that little ratchet wrench you had on one of your videos
You mean this one? amzn.to/4d9Ylls
Big boi washr duo or Active 2.0????? Thanks 🙏
That’s a tough one you’re talking $650 vs $350. If money didn’t matter I would go Duo if I could deal with the size and weight. Active 2.0 is way smaller, lighter and portable. If money mattered a lot I’m going 2.0. Of course $650 I’m getting the Active 2.3. Active is in Canada and if you are in the U.S. there are no taxes and free shipping.
Is washer pro or duo can be used with different canon such as GG,, or must the one provided
Any foam cannon should work fine
Agreed any foam cannon with a 1/4 quick connect.
Thats a bummer about the amp draw and noise. I'll be trying mine out in a couple days. Guess I'll have to get the kill o watt meter out to see what I'm getting for amp draw. Don't understand why they would ship it with a cannon that draws that many amp ? Maybe big boi can comment on the amp draw ????
They reached out to me and said they made a mistake and packaged the pro foam cannon in the duo boxes. They were not supposed to have that orifice size. Their excuse on the amp draw was that it will fall under 15amp after a bit. 🤷♂️ they did say there are adjusting the ones they are manufacturing now to make sure they stay below 15amp. Also working on the strength of the foam cannon bottle.
@@CarsWithKeav What about the people that already received them ?
@@Z22-m5o They said to reach out to customer service. Which is the expected response. LOL
Rushed product ,and generic customer relations response. They should be publicly making a statement to all the people who bought these and getting upgrades and fixes. Seems sketchy or irresponsible company.
They sold how many of these and now they found or rather got called out for going over the amps ?
A very small number of Duo units were sent in this first shipment. I think a responsible move to ensure any unforeseen issues have minimal impact on consumers and the product, allowing Bigboi to respond quickly to any changes necessary and connect directly with those customers easily with updates and solutions. Testing in factories can produce different results to field testing in countries, and each region can produce different results from the same product, which is the case for the Duo, especially with the orifice of the foam cannon.
Development of Bigboi products are never rushed and can take anywhere from 6-18 months from start to release with tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours going into each products development.
Bigboi’s brand and product approach in North America is very concise, to ensure we offer the best possible products and service we can now and for many years to come. There will occasionally be bumps in the road, the Bigboi team aims to deal with these quickly and effectively.
Almost seems like a quality control/testing problem.
Bigboi has a notorious problem with some of their machines being unreliable here in Australia with little to no service options to repair.
The real test will be long term durability, I will be testing my duo as well.
The owner reached out and said they did get over 15 amps at the factory, but it tapers off after a few minutes. Problem is you probably already released the trigger by then. They also said they packed the wrong foam cannon in the duo which is why it was 17 amps. They said they are correcting the issues right now and looking to add more weight in their plastic on the foam cannon bottle.
Which one of the bigboi units is compatible to the active 2.3
The duo is the most comparable as they are running the same type of motor and form factor with the type of pump. Both get better performance numbers than the pro.
Second! Riches with Keav. Great video.
Thanks!
Did I hear you say incredible suds 1 to 32 dilution
Yeah I always run 32:1 in a foam cannon or an IK sprayer. This soaps foams so good.
@@CarsWithKeav this brings the cost down
Can someone plese help me?? So I have a 40 gallon water tank - seaflow 33 series pump - Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer - hose reel. So the hose that is in-between the Seaflow pump and Ryobi 1800psi pressure washer keeps blowing holes in them. While I'm pulling the trigger its fine, but once I release the trigger you can see the hose keep expanding. I've blown a hole through a flexIlla 3ft hose and a very heavy duty braided PVC tubing. Im gonna try and use a pressure washer hose whip that can handle 6000psi ( like the one I have going from my pressure washer to hose reel). Any ideas?? 🤞.. I've adjusted the Seaflow pump so it is NOT pumping once I release the teigger, but that dam pressure just keep building up for a second or two. Also when I take the Ryobi outta my mobile setup and use it with my home spicket ( obviously no pump), I dont have any problems. That is with a real shitty home garden hose too! Thanks!!!!!!
I’m not an expert of these types of setups, but sounds like a back pressure issue from the Ryobi. I have heard of others having these types of issues. Most of them say that a vacuum breaker between the Pressure Washer and the pump will help. What seems to be happening is you have really good flow and when you stop spraying it has nowhere to go so it spike the pressure back to the source. Since the source is a pump it’s probably stopping the flow back to the tank. A vacuum breaker will release the extra pressure. This will leak water though to relieve. My places require one to stop debris and chemicals from getting back into the water supply.
@@CarsWithKeav Interesting.. I'll have to look into that. It's been very frustrating. I would just take the pump out , but the water pressure with and without the pump is so dramatic. But I may try mounting my pressure washer as close to my water tank as possible and see how it runs without the pump . But thanks for the response and a fan for life here 🤘..
@@bluewatermobiledetail No problem hopefully somebody else has some insight in the comment section to help out.
Are you waiting till Monday to drop the active 2.3 video Lol
Will be out Monday at Noon. Still editing at the moment.
@@CarsWithKeav I’m excited to see it
It was fun to make.
How many hours is this one rated for?
Usually 2 pole motors of this quality are good for 500 hours. There is a 2 year warranty of this unit.
I want one!
I’ll be doing a giveaway later this year with one most likely.
I dont know man, Im crazy or the Duo is better than the Pro?
Two different approaches. Pro is dialed down some with over engineered parts and is barely working to get these numbers. which will make it last probably multiple times longer than the duo and take the abuse of a commercial environment. Duo is at its limit screaming to get its numbers and the numbers are better, but at the cost of longevity and its loud as heck. Now I think we can make the Pro do better as Big Boi reached out to me and I am going to try and slight modification. If it works I'll put a video out on it.
What’s you pick? Washr Pro or Washr Duo?
The duo would be my choice for a homeowner and the pro for a business. Myself since I’m all about the performance so I pick the Duo.
bigboi over active any day 😂💪
Wait till you see what the Active can do.
Wow impressive, but the amp draw 👀
Yeah, it’s a bit much and they reached out to me and said they got those numbers at the factory, but the amp draw goes down over time, but I mean am I going to hold the trigger long enough to get that? Plus they said the pro foam cannon was packed in the duo box and it should have been a different orifice size.
Thank you for sharing that information. People getting this for a 15 amp circuit aren’t going to be happy if the breaker continues to pop!
@@pklemm1 They are remedying it to make sure its under 15amps. Which really is them adjusting the regulator to not go as far toward max. I might do a video down to update on how to handle the 15AMP with the stock nozzles.
BigBoi is my nickname
Sounds about right. 🤣
First!!
Of course. 🤣
