    Benefits of stretch: ⁣⁣
    The butterfly stretch is a seated groin and inner thigh stretch that targets those areas. It is a great stretch for anyone who has tight hips or a history of groin injuries, runners or athletes who play field or court sports. The butterfly stretch helps improve flexibility of the inner thigh adductor muscles. It also opens the hips which can become tight from sitting for long periods. This stretch is appropriate for pregnant women as well.⁣
    ⁣⁣
    How to do the stretch:⁣⁣
    - Sit on the floor or a prop with the soles of your feet pressing into each other.⁣
    - With a straight back, lean forward to feel the stretch in inner thighs.⁣
    - To make the stretch stronger, use your hands and elbows to resist and push your knees upwards against your own resistance.⁣
    - With each exhale, relax before sinking a bit more deeply into the stretch.⁣
    - Hold this position for up to 2 minutes and repeat up to 5 times daily.⁣
