    would love to see more videos on this, maybe you could do some on some other common stretch positions? I think some people are having difficulties with knowing which muscles to fire etc

    Omg! Thank you!!! I was never able to get my legs down very much at all, but when trying this method in only 5 or so minutes I was 50% closer to the ground then I’ve ever been able to do. I’m going to work at this daily. Thank you again!!

    I found this video by trying to find if there were people who find the butterfly difficult or impossible. It's never felt like any more of a stretch to me than sitting in a chair. I guess I could say the same for squatting all the way down with both feet flat on the ground - I was very surprised and intrigued to discover that there were people who couldn't do it because it's actually a very comfortable sitting position for many of us.

    Thanks!.
    How often should this type of stretching be performed weekly? Twice? Trice? Everyday?

    In a 90/90 position, how do you strengthen the front and back leg?

    • @27johnny
      @27johnny 4 роки тому

      Suisydul Front leg - push the knee into the ground, relax, push it into your hand, relax. Back leg - lift it up towards the ceiling, relax.

    Question.... Should I warm up prior to doing these stretches?

    • @27johnny
      @27johnny 4 роки тому +2

      Jessica Bzdyl normally the best way to warm up for mobility work is to do some joint articulations/circles and then progressively move deeper into the stretches, don't rush.

    "Fire into my knees" I don't know what this means. I cannot understand what you are doing. Are you pushing into your hands? You must use clear language.

    • @ConstructiveMinds100

      He used very articulate lenguage. 😊

    • @lilifras
      @lilifras 2 роки тому

      You need to push your knees down. You canneither push them into your arms or not use the arms. What is there not to understand?

      Majority of the ppl know basic muscle groups... Are you referring to him mentioning basic muscle group OR specific muscles like external oblique, latissimus dorsi, vastus lateralis, rectus femoris, adductor magnud, soleus & gastrocnemius?

    • @rachaelhyland754
      @rachaelhyland754 5 років тому +8

      I don’t know the names of the muscles so I appreciate him talking to the “common” person. Good walk through without being overwhelmed.
