Bit late to the party I know, but I'd have used plasti-dip spray on those parts ... You can go to basically any colour you like, even in a metallic or pearl finish. Easy to apply, especially on those small parts, which technically you don't even need to remove... though it does look a bit more pro if you do. And it's just as cheap. (and as a bonus you could also use it on the badges or rims).
I’m stuck between a Audi A3 and a Mercedes A class A180 CDI. I prefer the interior on a Mercedes like the fresh board etc, but the main bit is like the hub above the gearstick. How do I change the screen and knobs etc so it looks more modern and not like a mums car. Thanks.
Love the videos la, one thing I need to know is. When you clean your car, does it get bare shit on like the same day as. Just got an a3 2008 2.0 off a farmer near Southport, upgraded from a micra 2004. Somehow the audi is cheaper on insurance but every time I clean it. It literally is full of bird shite withing roughly an hour or 2
@@matimcfetridge Rude dudes, had an update since then. Cleaned it after all that happened. Went back to Southport and a kid dropped their ice cream whilst I was driving past 🙃 . I'm just gonna rock the black and white life now

Hi, I'm about to buy an a3 and found your channel when looking up reviews. I'm about to purchase an audi a3 1.2tsfi s line 2011 88k miles manual for £5,850 . I need advice i don't know a thing about audis, just really like how the a3 looks . If u could help me with any advice things am concerned with is will the timing chain need replacement, what should I check on a a3 like the common problems etc
If the timing belt hasn't been changed previously it will be due shortly I own a 2010 audi a3 sline 2.0tdi with 118k on the clock and love it common problems with the a3? Back window wiper leaks causing motor to seize the leak also causes the contacts on license plate bulbs to corrode i swapped mine out for leds changed my wiper motor and clamped the pipe for the washer jet also the blow heater are notorious for seizing 200 for a new one if you have air con but normally a little spray of oil will get it going again iv also had a issue with the dpf pressure sensor but that was pennies to replace and I did it myself other than that iv not really had any other issues hope this helps 😉
@@ddottmc thanks for your reply, I've bought the car and love it, my previous car focus was a automatic now I've switched to manual a3 , the cars perfect, it had an small oil leak but that was just some pipe that needed a new gasket, thats all cleaned up and fixed, Also the only problem I noticed is the car rattling when I get into gear and start to accelerate, I'm not sure if that's a clutch or flywheel but I won't look into this problem because of lack of funds, however in future I might try sort it out, my insta in m4j1d800 appreciate a follow and follow back
I believe you can but you have to modify something as the button changes from the side to the front! Will make a video on it if I can find a gearstick for a decent price👍🏼
Mati, thought the wrap looked good but in the name of all that’s holy, don’t debadge a car like that lol, get some hot water on it or a hairdrier and some dental floss, much easier bud 👍🏻
We had a hairdryer lined up ready to go but since there's no mains power in East Yorkshire, Mati had to improvise. The card in a 'cloth' technique isn't the worst idea provided you clean ALL the grit from around the badges first. Mati did not clean ALL the grit from around the badges hence much polishing was required 😩

Audi A3 with 2 doors, a gorgeous car, a future classic...!
Have you got a link mate to the wrap?
Wrap looks clean mate 👌🏼 hair dryer is great to remove badges.
Yeah had to call the nectar card in for backup as there no plug sockets where I did it 😂😂
If it’s the piano black trim just compound polish the trim. I’ve done it to my trim and it looks brand new.
I was wondering what service you’ve been doing to your DSG gearbox? I had same car but with a PD engine and less miles and had my gearbox go.

Can I get a link from where you bought the wrap?
What % tints did you get and how much fit costs ? Would reccomend
Looks good reminds me of when my Dad’s mate got his A5 with the “Alicante” interior. 😂

Stunning Audi. I’ve got a A-3 20 S line 240 Bhp that’s absolutely stunning 👍
hair dryer and dental floss for badge removal! Wrap looked good pal.
Surely you aren’t saying I bodged it?! Haha yeah your way definitely sounds safer 😂
@@matimcfetridge not bodged at all lad. I’ve seen far worse!! Screwdrivers and wallpaper scrapers!!
Haha samurai sword 😂 imagine
hi mate what adhesive strip did you use for your audi a3 door trim to change to alcantara black
What was the size off the roll you bought? And how much spare did you have after you was finished?
1500x500 and probably had a quarter of it left at the end 👍🏼

Is it possible to change the DSG lever to the newer one (2011-2012) ?

If is not performance mod why bother! No point. Save money for your next car instead
