- Maybe the Matamp ended up being louder in the mix? Recomended to use proper speakers for the huge amount of low end. Orange cab have WGS speakers and Marshall cab have stock speakers. Played with a Gibson les paul classic with a Super Distortion bridge pickup handwound clone.

Just saw this on a Facebook group soo.. this is a comparison bet. both amps. They are not played together?
Seems like Matamp is fuller frequency.. more highs and clearer. "Scooped" sounding? Maybe cuz of Celestion Greenbacks in cab?
SUNN clone is darker, less clarity. Reminds me of my Model T and Concert Leads.

Is the jptr made from scratch or a reworked amp (like hovercraft(which are still great sounding)?

What Marshall cab is that? I’m looking for a nice match for my Vintage GT120 Matamp and that looks very close to the very scarce Matamp 4x12’s they used to have.
as the logo says, its a marshall cab. but a 1960HWB which is 120 watts power handling so just ok if playing at not so loud volumes.
How do I get one

Hey my friend nice playing And tone! Sorry to bother you with a bit of a random question, but I am working on building a clone of a 1969 orange matamp or100 but I have had a hard time getting dimensions for the chassis on these . I finally got most of the chassis Dimensions from a guy who has one but I somehow managed to forget to get measurements Of how the pots/controls are spaced between each other on the front panel and also a way to line them up on the chassis , so I guess the measurement from the right end of the chassis to the depth/f.a.c. Pot and the distance from the right of the chassis to the volume pot , and lastly a measurement from the bottom of the chassis to any of the pots . Could I possibly ask you to measure your amp for me ? If you haven’t a PayPal I will pay you for your time and help.

@@ethanlamb7324 i guessed you would ask about if regular problems with the amp if i mention technician :D. actually no, i can say that no, the issue now might be about a mod on the amp, a master volume, but the amp works nicely normally .... has been really solidly maintenied while i have had it.
