Great content, question for you. I haven’t seen any videos demonstrating tweaking tones in real time using the app. Can you use the app to change for example delay time, level etc and it modifies the x5 in real time so you can hear the results of the setting changes as you make adjustments?
Yup! I have a whole bunch of videos doing just that :) This is the latest one, with a Hall of Fame example: ua-cam.com/video/_cEzlh2n7LE/v-deo.html. If I got my UA-cam bearings right, you should be able to find the other ones on this playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL5BNZiHiqkGISJzlyrG9KesA98T287n_G.html.
I've sat for the last 20 minutes trying to connect to the Plethorax5 via bluetooth to my iPhone, and haven't been able to. I've followed the video instructions to the T, the TonePrint app simply doesn't see my pedal.
Hi, the best channel on the plethora :) thank u! Question, can we connect a small midi controller just to switch between presets? If yes, can u plz recommend the smallest possible one?
Thank you for your very kind comment 🙏🏻 Yes, you can connect a midi controller, but for recommendations I would refer you to the midi mad scientist himself, Mr. Alec Bourne, who you can find here: ua-cam.com/channels/CVADUz5PMc0FeCfiklOl8A.html. I suspect his recommendation is going to be the Morningstar, but he might have some other tricks up his sleeve :)
Hi, just wanted to ask this question. The Plethora x5 has Midi functionality but will it support only the toneprint Editor? I want to make PC program changes via a Bluetooth device so that I can select each song title. If it does not work on the Plethora Bluetooth I will have to buy a widi (wireless midi device) such as the Widi jack by CME.
Hi Luke, I've never tried to control the Plethora via Bluetooth midi (other than the TPEditor, of course), so I don't know if it's possible... I'll put that on my to-do list and report back when possible 🙏🏻
Toneprint app on my Android smartphone doesn't see my Plethora I keep getting a prompt telling me that I need to allow the app to access my location which I've done in the general settings of the phone but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks
Great videos on the Plethora. A question: is there a way to get whole boards to upload to the Plethora? Maybe boards put together by artists, etc. I only find tone prints for individual pedals.
Olá Pedro, Not at this point. So far, only individual toneprints are available, but we'll have to see if TC will implement that function at some point as there are more users asking for it. 👍🏻
Hi ! Thank you very much for your videos ! I have one question : I've stored 3 personal tone prints on my iPad, and now I can't modify them on my laptop because "the toneprint is unknown to the app". There's something I don't get here, can't the app read the settings from the pedal ? Is there a way to get those settings in my laptop ? And what if I loose my iPad ? Is there something I'm missing or is there a huge problem with those apps ?
I don't think you're missing anything, unfortunately... TonePrints cannot be read from the pedal, only stored to, so currently you can only edit them on the same device you created them on (otherwise you get the "unknown" message). TC have mentioned a while ago that they are working on the possibility of sharing TonePrints, which would also allow you to carry / edit them from device to device, but there's no release date yet... 😕
@@PedalPlatform thank you very much ! I’ve managed to copy manually (with screenshots from the iPad), a bit long but now all my presets are stored in the same place !
@@PedalPlatform Been looking for a solution for 2 days just to find out the answer was again on your channel, well hidden in the comment section though :) Best resource for x5 info on the net! Thanks again. Hope to see your channel grow.
If it isn't making you tick, then that's fair enough! Mine isn't going anywhere, I'm still tweaking and finding new things every day so it'll be a while until it falls off the pedalboard :)
TC Electronic should pay you for your doing these Plethora X5 tutorials, VERY Useful, thank you!
Thank you Alex! 🙏🏻
Great videos, as always,.I wait for others tutorials on Plethora!
Thank you, more to come!

How do you save a tone print from android on the X3?
I have been able to connect via my phone, but I can't seem to get it to connect on my Macbook. Any advice?
I don't have a Mac to try it, but I believe bluetooth connection is only supported on mobile devices at this point.
@@PedalPlatform Cool. I'll use the USB for now. Thanks!

@@dude836 thank you! :)
Mine won't connect from my Samsung phone, am I missing something or is it better to just use the cable.
Is it possible to connect via bluetooth to a Macbook?
Nope, bluetooth is only available on mobile platforms (iOS / iPadOS / Android).
Good Lord TC, put the dang Settings at the top of the column so we don’t wear out the rotary knob and our fingers…
There is indeed a fair bit of twisting required... 😆
I've decided to sell my Plethora X5. It kind of bores me after a month or two of use.
