I was eating at a Thai restaurant one time, and a woman approached our family and showed us how she would eat som tum, and laab. Forever grateful to that sweet old woman from Thailand. I can make excellent laab. Still working on the som tum. Now, I have some new ideas to try thanks to you
I just love you!!! You were born to cook and also be a UA-camr….are such an amazing presenter👏👏👏👏Your recipes are amazing and so are your earrings! Thank you for these recipes, I love Thai salads😊
I love Mamma Noi!! She reminds me of my own Thai mother who taught me (and still teaches me) to make traditional Thai food!! Thank you Marion and Noi for sharing your/our culture!! ❤
Thai salads - especially laarb - are in my top 10 dishes in the world. They were such a discovery to me in the 80s (and at that time through cook books rather than restaurants or bloggers) because they had equal importance to other ‘mains’ and weren’t just a side dish.
For those who are new to sawtooth coriander: They are very easy to grow. You can buy once, stick the stems into the soil and they will grow. It never occurs to me to buy them because I have them in the garden.
Mama Noi is ever sooooo cute 🥰. Bring her back with her signature dishes … I miss my momma 😢. I also miss my mommy’s cooking . I didn’t learn all of her dishes before she passed . So have Mama Noi teach us whatever she wants to. Marion ….please give her a bear hug for me ! These salads look so delish …. I can’t eat spicy so I will have to tone it down for my palate. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻!
I was about to sleep when I saw on my notifications that you uploaded a thai salad recipe (I love Thai food sm) Good thing, I did because all of these recipes you and your mom shared looked so good! Especially the crispy egg salad I didn’t know that you can cook eggs that way. I’m definitely gonna try that salad soon once I get a hold of the ingredients. (Whenever I cook sunny side up egg, I prefer it to be really crispy where you can see the sides of the egg a bit burnt and seeing Mama Noi’s method made me crave for it especially at this time, it’s 1 am rn and I can’t take it off my mind lol). Also, the tuna salad recipe is brilliant! Love that you can create something out of the pantry. I just need to buy the herbs and I’m good to go. Thank you for sharing your recipes Marion and Mama Noi ❤you guys are the best!!
Omg, you guys both rock.Your mum is turning into a great presenter, like yourself...personality plus.Hi from Prachuap.❤.Have made most of the salads. The tuna version is on my to do list.

Oohh mama noi i will make that fried egg salad, i like spicy dishes as well but can i also add some crush toasted peanuts on that kind of salad to add flavor and aroma?
Hey marion i went to thailand last month and had an amazing dish, it was watermelon cubes with fried garlic, crushed peanuts soy sauce mint and a few more ingredients but i cant find a recipe for it, is there a name for this dish?
I just went down a google rabbit hole trying to find it for you but it looks like there’s heaps of variations sorry! The sauce may have contained lime, fish sauce, dried shrimp and soy sauce though. It seems to be common among the varieties of this type of salad I found. I’m not an expert just a woman trying to reunite someone with their long lost craving. 😂

Among our small Thai communities in North America, laab fresh salmon and/fresh tuna has become a hit for our casual get together. Try it yourself.
