Nice video and interesting comparison of course. I live in both cities, KL and Bangkok. For visas it all depends where you come from. For one Malaysia may be more accessible, for others it may be Thailand. As for safety, don't underestimate the risk of being pickpocketed in Bukit Bintang area in KL, or when roaming the streets at night in entertainment areas in Bukit Bintang or Chowkit. Public Transport? If you are not too far away from the BTS, yes then Bangkok is convenient. But otherwise you will have to get to the station in the heat of Bangkok, I find the LRT, MRT and other public transport in KL way better organised and equally affordable. And of course both cities have Grab, you can get anywhere for little money. But in Bangkok it takes about 5 times longer due to traffic. Now when it gets to costs of living, like you state, KL is a far better option. Property rental is far better priced in KL. We live in a 4 bedroom 3000sft condo right opposite the twin towers in KLCC in KL, the rental is actually lower than the 1 bedroom 1000sqft serviced residence at Bangkok river, where we have the other appartment. As they say: earn your dollars in SIngapore, party in Bangkok and live family life in Kuala Lumpur.

Ofcourse, both are really good and have their advantages. We just did a comparison based on our personal experience as a family. Thank you so much for watching 🙂
I disagree with your views on the public transportation aspect between KL and Bangkok, where one is connected with the latest and safest public transportation like LRT, MRT, Monorail, KTM, The Klia Express and air-conditioned EV public buses(double deckers included) and our fantastic e-hailing Grab services. I've been to Bangkok, and the public transport connectivity and efficiency is just not as extensive and safe as the ones in Kuala Lumpur city. Just my 2cents. 😊😅
I completely understand where you are coming from. When we did the rating, it was from our personal experience only. It might be possible that because in KL, grab was so convenient and affordable that we didn't get to experience the PT as much as we did in Bangkok. We take your point 🙂

Yup, Thailand was not cheap at all. In fact, we spent way less and did a lot more in Malaysia. It's no longer the thailand of before. And the cost of living was overall. Shopping, yeah - lot of more options - and in some cases cheaper, that's why for shopping bangkok got the point 😁🫡
Agree with you except for public transport. KL has a better public transportation system especially the LRT and MRT. The quality of trains and stations is much better in KL than in Bangkok.

Bangkok sense of unique , vibrant city ,contrast but perfect luxury to street old to modern, diversity and international city, and gigantic size downtown compare KL
I just recently visited Bangkok but haven’t been to Kuala Lumpur for many years. Bangkok is definitely not cheap anymore. In terms of the pollution it’s very noticeable compared to years ago. I wouldn’t call it a scam but everyone always thinks food is cheap in Thailand, but comparing the quality and the portion size it is not. Even Thais think the portion size is small. The people are not as friendly, maybe the lack of tourists or just generally more stressed to the increase in cost of living and their pay hasn’t caught up.
Hey Chris, do you mean people in Malaysia are not friendly? I think I understand where u are coming from. There definitely is the stress in terms of COG and income disparity, and also, they are, in general, a bit reserved. But thankfully, our experience has been quite positive tbh. May be we were lucky, I don't know, but we found them quite friendly and genuinely helpful. Although I would say they would take some time to let you in as a friend. Different countries are different
@@tinydetour He’s referring to the Thai people, not Malaysians. He’s saying that the Bangkok local people are not as friendly now as they used to be years ago, maybe due to stress, since costs of living have gone up, & less tourists coming in (especially since Covid), yet the minimum wages are still low even though the living costs have increased significantly.
That's a good point about portion size. I noticed it myself when I was just there - the portion sizes are simply ridiculous. Which means the food is a lot more expensive than it looks on the menu. Were portion sizes better in KL?

So many comments said Bangkok has only BTS? Why 's that? Looks so many people not update😢 you don't know MRT and ARL in Bangkok and so many years already
you must be kidding me saying BKK has got only BTS? Probably never go to BKK. what you have said BKK got it all . They have all sort of Transportations BTS Skytrain - 100 km MRT subway - 135.9 km Airport Rail Link - 28.6 km SRT Red Lines - 41 kilometres This is only The Train system in town, there are still others things connected to the system, it way more choice than KL to choose from
KL is cleaner and has less pollution than bangkok. But KL has less fun factor more family oriented. You will feel bored very fast in KL because is so small. The focus place is just Bukit Bintang, Pavilion, Jalan Alor and China Town. Speaking about China Town ours are so small and packed unlike Yaowarat which is HUGE in BKK. Food wise i think Thai Food is much better than Malaysia food. Im a Malaysian as i find our food are either salty and spicy side. The taste is imbalance as compare to thai food. Take a comparison like Pad Thai and Char Kuey Teow. Similar yet so different in taste. Pad Thai you can eat everyday where as Char Kuey Teow you just can’t because is salty and oily compare to Pad Thai. Likewise, Nasi Lemak, Hokkein Mee and Banana Leaf also salty side. Another thing like you said our transportation not like Thailand. If you are heading outside KL, you will have problem finding cheap transport if you dont have a bike or car. Even in malaysia we do not have Grab Bike, Tuktuk, Small mini truck Kabo, or Hilux modify to transport people like Bkk. Thus, there are good and bad for KL and BKK. I always wish if BKK and KL can integrate into one thats the perfect city in the world…

We still have so much to see in Bangkok..
as a Malaysian who live in Klang Valley…KL is boringggggg…Bangkok offers different vibes which I love…
We need to visit klang valley
@@tinydetour haha…yeahh…as a whole Klang Valley offers much more than KL…I live and work in Sunway City and I love the place LOL…everything you need you can find at Sunway City, no need to travel all the way to KL or any other places 😂😂😂
As Malaysian, I think bro nih kinda lone ranger.
Yes that’s what I meant ❤️ thank you. Heading to Chiang Mai first. I will look there. Thank you!
Have fun!
Like them both but feel your video was accurate.. it all depends on what your looking for!
Fair enough. Thank you
Hmmm...so difficult to choose...i love both...but i still prefer to live in k lumpur bcos of the food is diverse and the cost of living is cheaper...im a Malaysian btw...
Malaysia got me with the diverse food
hatyai, krabi way more better than Bangkok, cheaper as well
Yeah definitely. But for us, we always choose a base where we can find international preschools of our liking for our daughter, that's why sometimes we have to miss out on other locations that might be cheaper
Please dont comparing KL vs bangkok..we are brother and sister with thailand 🇲🇾❤️🇹🇭
A healthy competition is always good. Allows room for improvement 😊
Children: don’t fight…both are awesome southeast Asian cities with their own identities/-me love Bangkok; then after a week or so I have to return back to kl for some peace and quiet
Agree 100%
Boss, which is better between Aussie and NZ?
Both are great countries, and quite similar in many caes. but in which sense are you asking? E.g. nz is cooler, greener, etc. Australia is bigger, more job opportunities etc
We Malaysia love our neighboor. Love their foods and fruits and of course to their womens and girls
🙂
I stayed in saphan kwai and to to travel to old Banchamek muay thai gym in Bang kapi, after got out from BTS, need to take 20 minutes ride on motorbike taxi to the gym.
My muay thai gym is in Seri Kembangan and we have a new MRT line from Putrajaya to Kwasa Damansara to cater to those who want to train in this area.
Bangkok cannot be a winner by a big margin in Public Transport category. 😏
Just our personal opinion, based on our personal experience. 🙃
I like both places....no comparing...
It's alright to give our personal point of view
Bangkok is heaven for unmarried man for entertainments. What do you expect from an Islamic country like Malaysia ? Of course Bangkok gives better entertainments than Kuala Lumpur.
We understand your point. However, we were coming from the perspective as a family... we felt that even though KL had lots of family entertainment, so did Bangkok. But overall, we felt bangkok had a slight edge.. a slight one for us
Malaysia have two snow house one at shah alam and other at genting, do you have it in thai? experience the snow here in se asia
@@bboysjb wow didn't know that
@@tinydetour yeah i visited two time the snow world at icity shah alam just 35 minutes from KL, although it artificial but it so cold until my iohone 7+ freeze can't even use hehehe. At genting highlands i not yet go there but i saw in UA-cam you can do snow slide it's enjoyable. Next time you guys come to Malaysia make sure Google about it yeah. 👍

Which is more cleaner..? Bangkok or KL
KL is definitely cleaner. Although bangkok is now way more cleaner than it used to be, although in fairness, it's harder to clean with way more people/tourists
Where can you find many chicky girls wearing sexy dress on the street Bangkok or KL ?. Where can you find many International University Bangkok or KL ?
Malaysian here😂 We malaysian will flock to Bangkok for foods as well. 🇹🇭💪🏻🇲🇾
Yep
Living in Spore.
I go Msia for food, if possible, every weekend.
I also love Thai food lots. Been to Thai 6 times. But feel Msian food got more richness and depth.
Both cities are good.. Bangkok could be suitable for those who prefer lots of happenings.. parties etc
Kl is more suitable if u prefer clean n greens.. probably less chaotic..a center of excellence education decent place for family visit n good to raise family
Choice is yours finally 🎉😅
We agree!
Nice info..
Thank you 😊
Thanks you sir/mem malaysia is truly asia😉
So underrated
@@tinydetour next time come to malaysia again okey😉

No no. They are like brothers
Is there ever much pollution in Phuket?
Phuket is actually not bad, definitely way better than bangkok
There is no pollution in the south, it near the ocean it rain and wind blow all the time
no Food PANDA and Grab Food in Kuala Lumpur? You must be Kidding. Malaysia education Facility and system is no 2 in south east asia. only singapore which among the best in the world is above malaysia. we have 2 lines of MRT which is equivalent to BTS..we have 2 lines of LRT..WE have train system..we also have monorail.. A rail service to Airport yet we still behind Bangkok who has a single line of BTS.....what a JOKE .. YOU CAN SAY anythin about Kuala Lumpur.. but transportation and education system wise.. we are at par or may be better than other cities
I'm confused. When did we say there is no food panda or grab food in malaysia? Please listen. We talked about the most popular apps. Also, in terms of education (international not local) we felt both had great options
You think in Bangkok has only BTS?
So many comments said Bangkok has only BTS? Why 's that? Looks so many people not update😢 you don't know MRT and ARL in Bangkok and so many years already
you must be kidding me saying BKK has got only BTS? Probably never go to BKK. what you have said BKK got it all . They have all sort of Transportations
BTS Skytrain - 100 km
MRT subway - 135.9 km
Airport Rail Link - 28.6 km
SRT Red Lines - 41 kilometres
This is only The Train system in town, there are still others things connected to the system, it way more choice than KL to choose from
Onwards, ASEAN!
Way to go 👍👍👍
Malaysians and Thais take care of the comments... let outsiders be the judges
🤣
Definitely Bangkok! Malaysia has no freedom and human rights.
Is that true?
You should visit
1.EAST JAVA
2. BOROBUDUR TEMPLE .....
very beautiful 😂
Ok
I always wish if BKK and KL can integrate into one thats the perfect city in the world…
your last sentence had us.... only if :)
Please do not compare with Singapore. Singapore will lose in most category 😂😂😂.
🤣
Totally agree but let it be a secret😅
Yes ofcourse
KL win in most aspects of life.
BKK and Thai cuisine are better though 💕💕💕
Agree
For me I will consider the cost of living first to have money left for traveliing, accomodation, food and entertainment. I think BK is better than KL.
Cost of living is now the hot topic. It's rising everywhere
How do you feel pollution ?
We felt bangkok had way more pollution... KL seemed like hardly any
@@tinydetour kl and singapore are affected by smog from sumatra and kalimantan. Has been going on since 1997. Depending on wind direction.
Yes, most likely, we got lucky based on the time of the year We visited
@@tinydetourgood to know as I found the pollution in bkk suffocating . I would get sick just walking down main streets. The air is poison. Do you think KL or penang or borneo would be better for first time trip to Malaysia? I'm trying to decide
Night live for man , Bangkok is 100% better. 😂😂
That we agree 100%, but with a child, your priorities in life changes you know 😉
Malasia tourist is number one ranking in Thailand 😂
😂
Will you stop Malaysia crime is high
We found malaysia to be very safe tbh
puying Thai ngam ngam ❤
Pom rak khun krap 😅

My fren always go to Danok... 😅
🤔
Bangkok a winner in public transport by a BIG margin? Hmmmm....
Our personal perspective 🙂
Bkk is a city for single's
That's the common perception, and yes there are lots for singles, but we found there were lots to do for families too
Use Grab
We love grab. So convenient as a family.
Bangkok has nothing to compare with KL. You should compare KL with Singapore la.
There is good there is bad
In terms of boring town, yes KL and Singapore should be compared. For others stuff BKk has it all to offers there is nothing that KL or Singapore have and BKK doesn't have. It better values for your money there for sure.
KL is very small and nothing interesting . Bangkok is the world most visited city. I love BKK
KL is too small , and very boring cannot compare with Bangkok
The Malays and aborigines of Australia have same DNA.
What?
Don't be surprised. This is one aspect you need to know . The ungrateful immigrant Chinese here are racist. The above remark is a good example.

U realise how strange your comment is?
Of course KL the best!!....but if you want night life happening...better choose Bangkok....LGBT also available there😂😂😅😅😅
🙄
Coming from Thailand, I was impressed with LGBTQ+ scenes both in KL and Penang.
I think Tokyo is better. Or maybe Seoul..... this is the most stupid content i ve seen.
Actually, 'stupid town' is the best 👌
Stupid only to those who are dumb. Good content. Just ignore them
@@KAL0001 making comparison bet cities serves no purpose. Whats the purpose anyway? Other than to seek more likes or subscribers for your own benefit?. Or maybe that was another tactic to subtly condemn a city or its govt policy that is not to your liking. Each country , each city is different. Its unique by itself. Ask any resident and he will say the city he lives in is better. So, no one city is better than the other. You cant just say one is better than the other just because you feel so and expect people to agree. Worst still when you cant accept people disagreeing with you..
Stupid is you. The title said comparison between KL and BKK yes? You can read?
You forgot the categories of cleanliness...
Hmm
Kuala lumpur the best city in asean
One of the best
Not for me
Malaysians still travel to Thailand more than they travel within their own country. You can think about how biased this clip is.
This is just based on our personal experience 🙂
