KL is cleaner, greener, less polluted, way less poverty, way more walkable. So for family living or for serious couples KL is better option cause it has more than enough things to offer while being better in all those before mentioned things.
Bangkok truly a party city and the vibe is super high. KL in another hand is more family oriented and enjoys slow pace of life. Both capital cities did well in their efforts to lure in expats. Bangkok is like a huge foodcourt that thrive with high volume of people. It needs vibrant and quick money with young people or people young at heart. Their business is thriving and booming. KL is like a proper restaurant that provide comfort and serene ambient. People who attracted to this kind establishment are usually have deeper pockets but conscious of their money. Able to spend but consciously spending to enjoy the finer things in life. So…Bangkok went for the volume and KL went for a niche market. And Malaysia as a muslim country, it cant rely 100% on sin money. It needs stimulus to generate money that devoid of sin money as much as they can. Thailand…is an opened book. You can buy almost everything at any given time if get my drift. No malice thou but it just a fact. That is why both countries have different programs for expats. Each has different target markets.
It very much depends on what lifestyle you're going for. If you want chaotic wild fun and high-energy nightlife, Bangkok is definitely for you. But if you're into a classier , calmer, and sophisticated lifestyle, then Kuala Lumpur is the place to be!😊
KL not many live in so called KL territory . because it is small compared other cities in terms of acreage area. But prop!e who work in KL live in so call a greater KL, like PJ , shah alam , damansara , taman tun , bukit damansara , bukit kiara , damansara perdana , bangi , subang jaya etc etc . greater KL is spread due to hills and greens . greater . the total population in the greater KL is 10 million or more . and KL has most number of skyscrapers in South east Asia . KL is not just about city center
@@abhs1141 If you look at all the parameters, Bangkok is a lot bigger than Kuala Lumpur. The Greater Kuala Lumpur is just a term coined for metropolitan development surrounding the city of Kuala Lumpur and not a part of Kuala Lumpur Proper. Malaysia has the MM2H visas for long term stay. Also, East Malaysia states Sabah and Sarawak have their own version of the MM2h visa. Might want to check out that out
Its ok...westerner can choose Thailand or Vietnam or Philipine etc....let our beloved country Malaysia remains underrated...its better tht way...no need to compared....juz choose Thailand....got it????
I like thai food. But after one month I'll get tired of Thai food. Malaysia is multi cultural, any time i can alternately choose many options from Chinese food, Indian, malay cooking, Indonesian, plus Thai food. Plus increasing plenty of middle eastern food. So basically I can agree with a lot of things you said, but i don't know where you got the idea that Bkk have better food options.
1. Malaysian Muslim population is only 62 percentage , 25 percentage chinese and 8 percentage indians 2. Malaysia got digital nomad visa, 1 year 220 usd 3. Malaysian are honest and nice ppl, there is no double standard price in Malaysia like it is i thailand 4. Food in Malaysia is also like in thaikand, same options
Both are excellent cities. Obviously, it's all down to personal suitabilities. One can choose a short stay on any cities prior to relocating, which would be the practical choice.
No need comparisons... Just be wherever you like...when you are young its partytime...but as you get older youll mellow then you know definitely what you want then.
Both KL and Bangkok are very attractive city within their own vibes, both most affordable city in this region. Most western tourists can enjoy 90 days in Malaysia upon arrival and 60 days in Thailand. It's all down to personal preference when making a decision to stay for a longer period of time for the expatriates and for the digital nomads.
HA i just walked past you in front of Avenue k KLCC but was too starstruck to say hi. I find KL is like Dubai on sale and I cant breathe in Bangkok, but its got more places to hangout while working on Canada time zones
KL is a little bit more wholesome, for families and older well settled expats its perfect. KL I also think has better options for food, just my opinion.
KL is never been a boring city, and Bangkok is never been an exciting city, better than the rest of the cities in the world. If it's boring, it's probably, mainly because the state of your mind and how you perceive your surroundings.
Why is a city or the place you live in works for you? Only you know the reasons, not the city😂 KL Bkk have their own charm and setbacks. Every city will have its own personality and comparisons are really based on the person comparing - what he/she gets out of the place and life.
I love Thailand very much, very entertaining country. I'm not gonna live there for work but I will come and stay 2-3 weeks, 1 or 2 times per year so that Thai can remain special to me. Malaysia even a lil bit dull, its a good place to live, to work and to keep savings. 😎
You can do both in Thailand...Both KL and Thailand are great places to live...The cost of living is almost the same.... I'd personally prefer Thailand.
If u re looking for a place with fairly good infrastructures , probably more green n clean decent to raise family...most Malaysian re English spoken..makes communication more easy Bangkok is also a very nice n beautiful city..but more chaotic .. it's definitely a place for lots of funs esp for male travellers 😅
Just to digress a bit, I prefer Singapore, but I’m not wealthy enough to live there. I don’t like chaos; I prefer everything to be systematic and orderly.
Thailand has better visa offering for digital nomad with 5 year visa with minimum hassle for application. Malaysia got 1 year visa with lots of hassle for application.
If you are looking for Indian food in Malaysia, then I would have to say, KL and Penang. Having said all that, the Indian food restaurants are all over throughout Malaysia especially at Little India in KL and Penang. Singapore too, has Little India.
6:33 The housing prices in Kuala Lumpur are half of those in Bangkok, but the income is double. 6:59 Food prices in Kuala Lumpur are 30% higher than Bangkok
Peace and peace of mind are better than partying every day. Malaysians prefer peaceful places. Most Asian countries share the same vibe. Bangkok also has places that are very peaceful as well. KL for the politically correct Thailand is freer
as a thai who had lived in bkk for like 7yrs and travelled to kl early this year, i agree with you! ngl it’s just better in almost every aspect.
I’m Thai and I think KL is much better than BKK in every way ❤️ I love Malaysians they’re so nice too
