To be fair to Disney (fully 100% hate the sequels) Lucas had a similar policy. If the movies overwrote a part in history the movies were correct. There was a clone wars eu for a while before the prequels. It was okay and it wasn't a major loss as some of the new clone wars followed the beats of the old one... but it did make some older fans angry it was wiped out.

One thing that should also not be forgotten, like a comment on the original video shows, is logistics. In most comparisons, 40k moves ships and informations at a snails pace in comparison. Take Star Wars for example, it takes most starfighters that have hyperdrives 6 hours to travel from Coruscant to the Corporate Sector in the Outer Rim, and information basically travels instantly. In 40k t can take anywhere between 1-6 months, due to warp, just to travel from Ultramar to Earth. So any setting that has a form of ftl drive will dominate the information, logistics and hit and run tactics.

dude, that's not even the top end of xianxia, when you get to omnipotent godhood akin to the abrahamic faith's god, you trancend the universe itself and start at lvl 1 of the next lvl of existance^^
For ppl wanting to read xianxia, but are completly new to the ganre, here are some of my top picks:
      1) Warlock of the Magus World, it is xianxia, but with the skin of a european medieval fantasy skin, so it is realy easy to get familliar fast. Also, the MC is probably the best representation of d&d's true neutral alignment.
      2) I Shal Seal The Heavens, This is almost classical xianxia, but with a more light humourus elements added in, ofc it stil has the deep feels that cut your gut, and the brutality the ganre is known for.
      3) Cultivation Chat Group. This is probably the best parody on xianxia you can get, it is pure comedy genius. It folows the MC Shuhang, who is a normal mortal in the modern world china, so evrything a new reader can get confused by, or not know of, gets explained realy well, you follow the MC from normal modern life, through the hights of cultivation. CCG is also relativly low power scaling compared to most xianxia, so if you dont like the innsanity of the power scaling, know that the top end is only a bit abow omnipotence.
      4) Rennegade Immortal. This is not for the fain of heart, this is a dark story, with a ruthless MC, a good read for the ones who like the more dark story. It is also technicaly set in the same universe as I Shal Seal The Heavens, just another dimension of the same collective work of the author.
      5) Coiling Dragon. This is probably the most iconic of xianxia works there is, it is the baseline fans set other works up against most of the time. Tho personaly, I would rate it average of the ganre, but it's the white bread of it. A good read if you just want to jump in to the ganre, and are not against learning a LOT of terminology and in-ganre knowladge fast

One thing I would add, he says BattleTech's FTL is slow, this isn't actually the case, BattleTech FTL speed is pretty damn fast, it's just extremely inefficient, it takes 6 minutes and 15 seconds to run down their batteries (which they can recharge with solar power) but in that time they're traveling 30 light years (that's 1 light year for every 12 and a half seconds of travel). They also can't exit FTL in a stars gravity and their sublight speed technology is relatively slow for most sci-fi. That said, if BattleTech has been in a state of technological stagnation for a long time and there hasn't been too much demand for a more efficient FTL drive yet, we also know during drive failures it's possible to get flung basically to the other side of the galaxy in a single jump leading me to believe it could be MUCH more efficient.

And powered by the void to do things like: Manipulate time & space, Crush things with the power of magnetism and etc. There are many different types, all with their own set of powers and they can be modded (along with their weapons) to make them even stronger. Can a Warframe take on a Space Marine? Most definitely. Can the Warframe universe as a whole take on WH40K? Let alone the entire Imperium? Fuck no... I actually think Star Wars could handle modern 40K if we use Legends. Your average Jedi and Sith are on the level of or greater than most Astartes and the great masters like Mace Windu, Yoda, Dooku, Sidious, and Luke Skywalker could easily solo entire Astartes chapters because their attributes are just on another level. Mace Windu and anybody near his level or beyond can move at roughly light speed and their other physical abilities put them *far beyond* any Astartes. These kinds of people can probably solo Primarchs as well. The important thing to remember about regular 40K humans to Space Marines to Custodes to Primarchs is that each tier below the other can at least see what the one directly above them are doing. They just aren't fast enough to react to it. Humans can see Space Marines, which can see Custodes, which can see Primarchs.
Anakin (a man who could move many times the speed of sound at his fastest) could not even see Palpatine and Windu's duel when he reached the Chancellor's Office in the novel. The Sith Lord and the Pillar of Light were moving so goddamn fast that the only thing Anakin could see were the brief flashes of their lightsabers every five-to-ten seconds. That's pretty fucking fast. Also, Luke Skywalker telekinetically manipulated a black hole the size of the Millennium Falcon (making it more dense than the Earth). Also, Star Wars technology is beyond most 40K races. Cures for most known diseases, FTL technology thousands of years beyond everyone in the setting, plasma technology beyond 99% of 40K (except for maybe Necrons), and Jedi and Sith neg pretty much anything in the setting. Grandmaster Luke Skywalker would have trouble with the God-Emperor (if we're talking Horus Heresy), but if he had his Council with him then Big E is dying so fast his head would revolve fifty times before it hit the floor. And yes, Luke is not above jumping a motherfucker. He is the son of Darth "Motherfucking" Vader. He is not above under-handed tactics and psychological warfare. Point is, Legends Star Wars is actually able to fuck 40K right to hell. Hell, Chaos isn't even going to sway most of the high level Jedi or Sith. The Jedi because they care too much about others and have too much love for corruption to set in and the Sith because the top-tier Dark Lords are so goddamn egotistical they would say "I am my own master" and then dab on a Khorne Bloodthirster or what-have-you. There are universes that can beat Legends Star Wars (the Xeelee-verse among them easily). But 40K is not one of them.

I mean I think anything with gods or godlike beings could be considered OP, because in the end it just turns into cartoon physics at that point - it's all entirely arbitrary.
I don't think 40k was designed to be super OP, barring 'rule of cool' stuff like Titans. The 41st millennium itself is more a story of civilisations way past their best, everything is decayed and crumbling, and most of the races have fallen from grace substantially. Even the Orks and Necrons are millions of years past their peak. And the Imperium is perpetually and inevitably failing, that's sort of the point of the 'grimdark'. Its bureaucracy and logistics are a hopeless mess and it's forgotten how to build most of its best tech. It also has an obvious weak spot - a single well-placed nuke on Earth and the Imperium is done.

Remember Goku did get killed by heart failure, and using his psyker powers to stop his uncles heart was the Emperor's first kill. So it isn't impossible for the Emperor to win, so he CAN win.
But if you mean in a first fight, well, no, the Emperor couldn't... however the question technically wasn't limited to that type of fighting. As at hos peak, Goku was capable of destroying the universe with his punches in Dragon Ball Super. Its from the fight at 20:00 anyways to simplify the situation Goku learned a new transformation and until Goku learned how to stop his excess Chi energy from leaking out in that form, he was ripping apart the universe (including the afterlife) and nearly destroyed it...

With the Gigastructural Engineering and Ancient Cache of Technology mods you can fight beings who consume galaxies just to gain their energy and have shields wich utilize several dimensions layered on top of each other with ships the size of stars. You can fight beings wich exist across every single universe and timeline. You can become such a being yourself. You can use the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy to build a death-star (except not a star but a big moving black hole that can destroy entire star-clusters).

If you decide to do any Star Wars lore stuff before you finish KotoR one and two, avoid the names Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Bastila Shan, Meetra Surik, Darth Nihilus, Darth Scion, and Darth Traya like the plague. Any lore involving those names will give you massive spoilers for one or both of those games.
On a powerscaling note, the movies do not do Force users justice, because they literally can't due to the limits of live-action filmmaking.
Just as a singular example, an ancient Dark Lord of the Sith, Naga Sadow, when aided by his unique Force power enhancing ship and meditation sphere, was capable of using the Force to telekinetically rip the cores out of stars to force them to go supernova.

Personally I groove on both DC and Marvel in general. Both have tons of great heroes and villains with good and great supplemental adaptation materal. Both have also dropped the ball with notoriously bad comic stories, laughable attempts at cinema, and baffling business decisions. Still, they are the top of the food chain. IDW hasn't forced people to consider it a peer and change the term from Big 2 to Big 3. At least not yet.
I haven't heard a lot of great news from people actively reading comics, but good news doesn't go viral, and I choose to hope that the hard times will pass as the dark age of comics in the 90's passed. Though the zenith of superhero comics in terms of success relative to population... that may well be at an end. Even if digital readership picks back up, the days of selling millions of physical copies of even the best issues pretty safely seems dead.
Still, I have a hard time seeing the big superheroes fading away. Especially the DC Trinity. They've been around since the 1930's. It takes a lot to see such iconic characters with numerous classic stories and rare seniority fizzle out.

I have this idea about something i nicknamed the "rip Drive". which can alter fundamental physics without changing other fundamental properties. And when I thought about what you could do with this thing I ended up imagining something called void matter and using a rip Drive can be given any fundamental property you want. So you can make a void matter with the properties containing energy perfectly, with infinite inertia, Mass. Plus no respect for the flow of time rules of causality or three-dimensional principals. then make a person out of it.
PS I got more if you want to hear it

@@electronicmayonnaise5692 well I should probably mention that when I imagine a rip Drive they can only make one field at a time. with an exception to particularly Advanced variants
Well to continue on the "make a person out of it" thing. The process of making somebody into void matter would start with giving the void matter the property to transmute normal matter into void matter. While copying the normal Mathers properties exactly. Give this person a rip Drive then this person should be able to extend their Consciousness across their body. So with continued use of the rip Drive they should be able to effectively become a sentient, reality bending, property changing, mass of programmable manner
If you're still interested next I can talk about Rippers (rippers being rip Drive guns), void armor, or just answer questions if you have any

they are both tangible yet intangible, the only difference is that while less powerful the force does seem to be sentient and capable of making plans(no, the chaos god don't make the realm sentient)
the question shouldn't be this troop vs that troop, it should be how the relationship between the force and chaos would be.

star wars should be better in space by a considerable margine and hyperspace is way safer and most of the time faster than warp travel
on ground warhammer is generally better but where star wars has better production and actually innovates the empire has alot of shadow projects like the dark trooper project
curent disney cannon has confirmed they has aswell but they havnt shown the amount that legends has
and celestials where diffrent essentially a race of gods with more advanced tech for a ref for some things they did was make the corellia system and The Maw Cluster or simply The Maw was an unstable and mostly unnavigable cluster of black holes located near the planet Kessel.

This is especially an issue given that due to obvious copyright reason, the warp just doesn't exist in other fictional settings, thus beings from other settings aren't going to have a connection to the warp.

They've been shown to be vulnerable to other gods, and in the case of Slaanesh, were outright beaten and imprisoned. I know 40k is generally more "OP" than the Fantasy Warhammer settings, but just with a bit of extrapolation, any god or god-like being could just outright kill the 40k Chaos Gods, and I'd say the viltrumites and especially superman would be in that category, ignoring the fact that superman isn't even the strongest entity in the DC canon.
