  • In this video I will be showing you how to repair a particle board drawer. This one is ASMR style so it is really relaxing to watch--if I do say so myself! This drawer came from a laminate dresser, which isn't my favorite type of furniture, but laminate will usually sell faster than solid wood because the price is lower on these items!
    This furniture repair is something anyone can do! If you have any questions, leave me a comment down below and I would be happy to assist you!
    Make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it, or a thumbs up if you didn't!
    Thanks for watching!
    xoxo,
    Holly

      Yes, I liked it a lot! 👍🏼 Love the sounds of hard work. For some reason the spray bottle sounds are nice haha. I did miss the bloopers though 😫

    For this ‘handy reference’ type content, I much prefer this style of video.

    I wish this video was out 2 weeks ago when I was fixing some particle board drawers. I didn’t pre-drill and split parts of the drawers, thankfully it’s my daughter’s dresser, but lesson learned.
    I’m not really into the ASMR thing, It’s some people’s jam, and that’s cool. I like listening to people talk and explain what they’re doing, it feels more personal. You do what makes you happy, I’ll watch no matter what!

      Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it 😊

      @@ChicAntiquebyHolly IKR! I was thinking before I started, “I’ll be really careful and the drawer will cooperate”, yeah, the drawer had different ideas I guess.

    I like to hear about the supplies you have chosen. I also like to know why you are doing certain steps, like are they necessary or optional? What will happen if I skip a step? Thanks for the confidence you radiate to us viewers! Simply put, your videos convince me, “I can do this!”

    What does ASMR furniture mean?

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  3 роки тому

      It means using the organic sounds of the work. Instead of adding music & voiceover.
      Some people find it satisfying.

      ASMR stands for: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Google says “ASMR is a relaxing, often sedative sensation that begins on the scalp and moves down the body.” I hope that helps!

    Would prefer a few sentences of narration rather than the silent treatment.
