Paul Weller performs an Electric version of "Foot of the mountain" at Glastonbury 1994 ****PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO ENCOURAGE ME TO UPLOAD MORE EXCLUSIVE CLIPS****
I was in the crowd. It was beyond anything id witnessed him perform like before. He makes that Gibson SG have it. Dont so much relate to him now but hes still a class live artist. No argument there. The band are one incredible unit.
100% agree....his best ever line up.....absolutely on fire at this stage of solo career, really attacking the songs, sadly now sounding very watered down almost cabaret
Seminal gig. Perfect performance at the perfect moment. Perfect storm. Not many people know that he split up with his long-standing wife D. C. Lee just before this set
One of the best ever live performances. I remember watching on TV on the night of the performance and I was completely dumbstruck. I just sat there speechless, staring at the screen. Goosebumps all over my body.
Paul's magnum opus I think. He doesn't know me but we grew up together - kind of, and its been so inspiring having him around through my life. I always think the great entertainers make life bearable for the workers and I hope they appreciate that.
If one of your kids ask you why Weller received the god like genius award, well you start them off with this video...i came to love Weller in his early Council days and i thought he reached his peak then, but this is on another level, no way to describe this man's talent and versatility
@@donovanvaz3289 Indeed! I love how the intensity builds throughout the song and explodes with the instrumental. I still have this on VHS somewhere. Traded some Lewis Taylor mixtapes with someone in the UK when I was on the Splinters mailing list. I used to wear out this whole concert, especially this tune and Out of The Sinking.
You are so correct with that statement. He has went up another level with his solo work. The man is pure class and no disrespect to the new guys like Noel Gallagher, they are just not in his league
Does it get any better than this? All the elements coming together - the changing dynamics, the ebb and flow. Five musicians at the top of their game producing an utterly galvanising performance.
I remember getting a Paul weller cassette when I was about 12, 13 yrs old,"uh hu o'yeah" was my 1st fav song ov his,,,,I'm 45 now n I still get that same unexplainable feeling when I'm listening to the guy create ,,,,we'll some absolutely beautiful timeless music,,, n if you think you've heard all his stuff ,,,! Think again my friend , think again,x❤️x
Cant remember much about the glastonburys I went to, but this set without doubt, played under the glasto sunset,is the highlight and will live in the memory forever.absolutely positively genius.and I seen some legends the years I went but this is the creme de la creme of all.werent even a huge weller fan in those days but.......
I love Paul Weller's music. He's quite a fantastic song writer and guitarist. On a side note, always thought his bass player throughout this time period was a very attractive lady.
He just broken up with DC Lee a few hours before he played , i was there at Glastonbury , his rodie played a solo who was with him in the jam he passed away few years back ,, best wishes from Durham
Steve White brilliant drummer I still Live Wood & The live wood gigs around that time were Welles’s best a real fire to them saw him loads of time around this time magical
The Jam, my first proper gig aged 16 in 1982. No one has ever come close to beating that as the best gig I’ve ever been to and I’ve seen plenty of the biggest acts in the world since.
A great way to kick-start any day of the week... Paul Weller & co. performing an electric version of "Foot of the Mountain" (track 12 from his 1993 album "Wild Wood") at Glastonbury Music Festival in 1994 ua-cam.com/video/yxLciMetd08/v-deo.html
oh, Paul...still...just nothin" showin, sweetie....it's just a thing that you once said in an interview (that supported all claims) "it's not the size that counts, it's the way you use it" I won't hold it against you, if you will hold it against me I LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE

The guy is just pure class. No disrespect to Oasis or Noel Gallagher or Liam Gallagher. But these guys are not in his class or league
