If you get underneath the front tire on driver side pull the fender inner skirt back up undo the three bolts that remove the air conditioning pump and let it fall down a little bit that will make it so you can use some long extensions and reach straight up to those bolts
Thanks for giving ppl this advice! As subscribers of mine notice, I hate doing extra work like this to remove a single bolt but this is very good advice to everyone who has difficulties.
@@wesangel9989bro absolutely lmao. Couldn’t get the extensions to work. Soon as I read your comment I looked over my tool box and grabbed it lol , since I was already using the front of the engine gap to try to fit my socket. Good looks fam.
I want to know how you got that hose clamp off you did a time lapse and we did not see it, I went out and purchased the same tools in this video and tried using pliers And even a actual clamp tool thats made for it however simply cannot fit my hand in there hand is too big, any suggestions?
I have a hose clamp tool from snap on that I use. They make cheaper ones on Amazon Radiator Hose Clamps Pliers Tool - Hose Clamp Plier Wire Clamp Tool Long Reach Hose Clamp Pliers Automotive Wire Pliers Tool - Hose Removal Tool Pinch Pliers Car Tool Kit Flat Snap Ring Pliers a.co/d/am8Xxvj
Dude I’m doing this exactly, but my air compressor is connected with a tube to the thermostat. HOW to you get the black tube out of the way to get the thermostat out
We about to find out if that’s why my housing is leaking! I didn’t know about the jiggle valve going a specific way, Now imma make sure it’s upwards and see if it leaks and get back to ya Well it still leaks, but it’s more of a drip drip now vs it just emptying out. Imma take it to a mechanic or something to see what they can do, or just put some rtv in it and hope for the best I’ll lyk more info, im getting frustrated though, have had to do this 7 times yesterday and twice today
i replaced my thermostat and now my heat doesnt work please help im a military mechanic i follow your vid and now no heat did i not bleed the system enough or?
You may not have enough coolant in the system so yes bleed the system until it is a steady stream that comes out the bleeder and then add coolant into the system to top it off. Thank you for your service.
that bottom bolt on the housing is something else!
Tell me about it
I’m working on one now that bottom bolt is a pita
Im also here to say its a pain in the ass
Not a joke I hate jt
Man I finally got that mf off

Don't need extensions for the left bolt just a ratchet wrench from front of car way easier
Your comment should be highlighted That is so correct 💯 I spent hours trying to get that bolt

You noticed he skipped showing us threading the bolts back in? Because it's a nightmare.

So how did you take out the bottom bolt. I cant get it off
for me it helped to move the p/s pump aside, it’s 3 easy bolts
Same I also unscrewed the AC compressor
Im having trouble finding the correct thermostat for this car..do you know?
Did that Thermostat with seal or no seal plus gasket work? I bought a new thermostat with no seal but the 300 came with a thermostat with seal.
You must replace the seal with the thermostat
Appreciate you
Man I'm watching your video I got to fix same kind car
I should have many videos on this car.
Thanks bro!
The thermostat jiggle valve, if put on upside down or any other way, what happens?

The only problem is I can barely hear what he’s saying and some points you can’t see much
How much were the labor cost to replace the thermostat on on the Chrysler 300 206 I'm going to send it
Do I have to drain the coolant
No
How did you took out the 2 10mm screws from the thermostat housing, your video did not help at all
Helpful video bro!

What size are the bolts ? Thermostat housing

Wrong or faulty thermostat.
I think I’ll pay someone rather than do it myself. That bottom bolt looks like it’s a pain
It is a nuisance but is doable.
It’s doable but it might leak…
