- If you would've told me as a kid in the early 90's that I'd one day have multiple arcade machines in my home, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Fast forward to 2021 and that is a reality. Street Fighter fans, join me as I unbox and give some of my thoughts on the Street Fighter 2 Legacy Edition Arcade1up cabinet. I purchased this from gamestop.com for $399. The first gen version of this 1up cabinet does have an edge up on this cab with the control panel. Overall, I am enjoying this cabinet even though it has a few shortcomings. This will make a great gift for any Street Fighter fan. Thumbs up for more.

I think TMNT was one of the first cabs I played.
I might be wrong.. When we played them we was kids... Eye level would be bang on.! I honestly don't know? Anyone know?..... I'm 6"2.... As a kid everything seems bigger eye level. ... Strider was a fantastic game!

There was a reboot of Strider that came out in 2014 on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One & Microsoft Windows. It looks really badass & got good ratings.

Just add some spacers between the control deck and the blocks holding it up and bring the deck even I did it with all my legacy cabs

I would love this game selection and additional features, but in the original Street Fighter 2 cabinet 😭
The original cabinets are way too big and heavy though honestly for people to be buying for home use.
These Arcade1up sizes are perfect for homes.

Once they release the big blue with WiFi this cabinet died and become obsolete
I like how these cabinets look like the original cabinets from back in the day, but I swear to god I just know my right arm is going to catch on fire because of how close the buttons are to the stick. 😤

I own the MK arcade 1up. I just learned some of the 1ups have online play. I am not sure how good it is but I wish mine had online. After owning the Extreme home arcade I am surprised you would still buy these editions. Thanks for the video
You can never have too many machines. I love having these arcades. Our own lil personal Dave n Busters. Plus, it's cool to have the 1uos for the kids, friends and family to enjoy. A lot easier to operate then the Megacade.

It would be cool if they send the megacade the same as a one up. Just a huge box and you screw everything up yourself. Not sure if that would even possible, but it's tough throwing down 5 stacks and waiting for over a year to get what you paid for lol.
Megacade is huge though. A bit more complex than a 1up build. But I get what you're saying though.
@@dthomasfromnc Yeah true, I just wish they could come out with some sort of pre-fab generic modular build. Probably wouldn't have all of the nice effects and custom artwork but if you just want something to hold the TV, controller, etc. You could buy it and put it together at a reduced cost.
Yeah probably impossible to do logistically though.

Any way to turn up the resolution on the game? Graphics are not as sharp as the original arcades.

I got the legacy cabinet, they come with riser but it's still short for me so I ordered a 5inch riser to go beneath the stretfighter riser and it looks way better now ,no more crouching .

I prefer this one. The first gen is cool, but this one os a lot cleaner and looks better in my game room. I'd definitely recommend this one over the first gen.
Even thought about put on the Boss Control Panel From 99live Arcade on the legacy cab? to improve the side panel issue....

I want the games of this one with the cab design of the old one. That edge looks super annoying, good call.
It is annoying. But I managed to use some of the padding that came with it and made it flush and it looks so much better. Easy fix for Arcade1up for future cabs.

Putting some final touches on the game room to eventually do another room tour.
i've got my eye on one and every video i've seen has talked about the height issue. i'm 6 foot 3 so i'm thinking getting some cinder blocks to help raise it up a little higher

I have always hated and still hate that intro scene... Especially because I grew up with the Genesis Version which had a White Guy punching out White Guy.
Growing up mixed, Race was very very early on brought up to my attention as a kid.... So that shit would throw me for a loop at the Arcade.

I have the OG SF II CE Cab and i gotta say.....still prefer mines still, i mean the updated artwork is nice and the light up marquee. having the rest of the SF II titles is a bigger upgrade too along with freaking darkstalkers but the rest i don't really care for. the edges do look like a deal breaker by how it annoys your wrist during gameplay, and the biggest deal breaker is NO FREAKING ONLINE!? Bruh, that's butt cheeks right there. overall, it's nice if you don't have the 1 cab but if you do......your not missing out IMO. great review my guy, enjoyed the video!
Not having online ID a missed opportunity for this cab. I have fixed the issue with the control panel by raising it to be even with the side panels. It's flush now and no longer is annoying during gameplay. It's definitely not the best design decision with this cab. Thanks for watching.

My dude, such a sad disappointment. My childhood best friend bought one last month and just flipped it because at 6 feet he was too tall and the marque was in the way, also he complained about the lip. I didn't even get a chance to check it out (he lives 200 miles away so I only see him 5-6 times a year). The last 1up street fighter didn't have OG sf2 which I really wanted. Just curious, are the old SF2 glitches still there? Can you freeze guile mid Blade kick or do an invisible throw? I may just buy the OG sf2 1up and just mod it with a pi and run an emulator otherwise.

@@dthomasfromnc ever since you pointed out the trim around the screen you can’t even see the pictures on top. When you put it side by side with the old one it hella stands out. Also I agree that it doesn’t make sense the controls aren’t flush. Also it’s dissapointing that the sides are mostly just plain black instead of a cool collage or something.

Hey bro! Great video as always! I don't have a cab with the 'Notch" on the sides... I have three Marvel Vs. Cab... But even then off the bat one major Human Factor is that everyone who has something negative to sy about it seem to all be people whom unfortunately for Posture sake rest their hands on the deck.

Get Sanwa JLF Joystick and use Extended Shafts.
That will obviously upgrade your sticks, bur also th shaft will sit high enough that it should STOP you from wanting to sit your Joystick hand down.... You clearly aren't some Fat Nerd..So you should have no problem keeping your stick hand high.
Well I hope you look in to it... If anything I can show you wants up via Twitter through a Video Upload to give you a Visual Aid.

@@dthomasfromnc Awesome! But it won't fix that posturing. Just think of it like the advice people give about typing on the keyboard.... Don't slouch your wrists. But the same... People do what they are used too.
But if you ever switch out your sticks for JLF, still check our the extended shaft, and it also feels more like the original Happ Sticks due to the added height off of the control Deck.
