To make your Street Fighter Arcade game look the most authentic - cigarette burns. I remember seeing burns on every Street Fighter game I ever played in the late 80s.
Uh, Street Fighter games weren't out until the early 90's! That unless you somehow mean the forgettable, original S.F. arcade game, which hardly anyone ever played though.
I'm happy to hear that Arcade 1UP is making these with a little bit more quality and fixing the issues from the first releases. I might end up getting the Mortal Kombat one when it comes out. By then, most of the issues should be fixed.
I have three machines. Pacman, street fighter, and centapede. I used a polyurethane on the control panel. With the overlay protector it cuts the button height down at least a quarter inch. Now for some it won't bother you. But for others it does. And with protector on, it looks kinda janky. With the polyurethane you get to keep the original look of the machines. Also..... I advise you not to ware jewelry like watches, rings etc. These machines are easily scratched. I bet a fingernail will scratch it. My machines are only one month old and have scratches all over the cabinet. They are not big noticable scratches, but when you look closely at them you see all kinds of dings and scratches. I do have two kids that play them as well. One whom is 6 years old. Always running around with toys in his hands and has bumped into the machines a few times. But they are fun and worth the price. I love just looking at them. I play a little. But my fun is looking at them and building my game room.
I currently own 5 A1Up cabs. So, no major issues. Only some scratches on Pac-Man outer screen, but A1Up sent free replacement. Now I’m set. I’m looking forward to 2019 cabs.
highflyer011 I’ve been thinking that’s the next step. There a local company that does custom cabs. Maybe get a custom reproduction of my favorite cab with MiSTer installed. But the extra cabs are great when I host family parties and my kid has about 10 cousin over.
@@ConsoleKits I'd think you're addicted enough to say that a real cap is in the near future! lol Don't let some company take advantage of you, and charge thousands for some cab that they literally made out of plywood and put some pretty side art on. I've seen the ones on Facebook marketplace, and the sellers wan't $4,000+ Which is freaking insane! lol I'd recommend buying just a mame cab with the sf 2 button layout (so you can play pretty much anything), and some nice generic multicade artwork. I also wouldn't spend more than $1,000 on this, because the seller typically puts these into old generic arcade cabinets and toss an LCD in them. They have very little money into them, other than the side art and what not.
RGT 85 seems like a cool dude who would offer you a beer and talk about games and sports. If he was my neighbor i'd point to his house and be like "that dude, old man rgt, he aight"

@ console kits If thats the one w ninja gaiden and bad dudes then yes! I like final fight as well but would place third behind the others. Also, I wish they had included the original Street Fighter game in the street fighter cab, I think that would have made it a must own...

The color cycle effect looks nice on that because it really makes different colors pop out of the logo's as it cycles. Almost makes them look like LED logo's at times, especially the red's at 5:24
I don't think I have ever heard someone claim bat top sticks are better than ball top sticks. Obviously not a fighting game guy. There is a reason all fighting sticks come with ball top and its because of precision/speed. Bat tops force you to move you hand further to travel the same distance so it's noticeably slower.
I bought a display model Pac-Man for $165. The control panel overlay is in terrible shape after sitting out in public for 2 weeks, but I’ve had it for a month now and it’s still playing great!
I recommend ball and square gate over round/bat top as an avid street fighter player. If you use charge characters like Guile, E Honda, Blanka, Boxer etc, the square gate is absolutely your best best. Charging DOWN and BACK on a round gate is a lot harder than you think. In the end, you're not playing this thing too seriously so if it's nostalgia fun, then bat top and round gate. I wish you could be a full size one like this!
I'd probably get one if they did 3rd strike. or the Star Wars arcade game, the one with the flightstick where you had flight missions with lightsaber fights in between.

I would love to have full size machines but these machines are small enough to sit against a wall without them being a nuisance. I highly recommend them.
I was fortunate to be able to find a Pac-Man cab for $150 and it's amazing. It looks great, plays great, and brings some great retro goodness into my home. I can't wait for the Mortal Kombat cab to hit because I'm a huge fan.
I have Rampage and Pacman. Rampage had a few issues but after contacting customer service the problems were addressed and I received my parts in two weeks after talking to them. I t molded my Rampage cabinet and the riser and it looks great. The bat tops do make a difference. Can't wait for series two for Final Fight and Mortal Kombat. Great videos as always.

When I start my video game collection it's going to be sick I'm going to have consoles all across the board I'm probably going to have couple arcade 1-ups here and there all these dudes from heavy metal Jesus 2 radical Reggie are really starting to inspire me to start my own gaming collection
My nephew and one of my nieces bought three of these: Street Fighter, Pac Man, and Rampage. Two had slight damage that happened in shipping. They contacted Arcade 1UP and had the replacement pieces and the acrylics shipped to them in less than a week. I will have to let them know about adding the lights and the nicer joysticks.
I just got the Street Fighter machine for 199.00 on amazon. It is awesome. It’s my first arcade1up machine. The only issue I have is the difficulty. Will keep watching for more info. You explained everything great. Thanks
Ordered my overlays for Galaga, and the Atari 12-in-1 systems, 3 MONTHS later, the Galaga one came in, then a month after, the 12-in-1 did. This was 1 month before the free protector offers ended. Hate to have waited last-minute!
Interesting how the high score table says NIN for the #1 yet Special Champions edition was only released in arcades and on Sega Genesis originally, and both of them had CAP and COM and character names in the default high score table.
If this cabinet comes with square gate joysticks, then you should keep the ball tops. The bat top is what most US arcade games, especially fighting games had so it makes sense you feel like that works better for you. I looked into this and saw that the ball top and square gate encourages you to use the least amount of movement to activate the joystick directions. You can get very fast and accurate that way.
Still haven't pulled the trigger on one of these yet. They are a bit pricey up here in Canada. I'll be hard pressed not to pick one up if they ever go on sale
I will be adding a Pi to mine and creating a vintage game library while I still can. Using the right mods, these machines will be highly sought after in the future.
I was on the fence on getting one, went to walmart to check them out about a week after release. All of the cabs paint and graphics around the buttons and sticks was completely rubbed off. For me it was a deal breaker since I would want to play it often. Maybe if they made a clear plastic cover to protect it I would consider getting one again.
The old cabs arent worth the hassle honestly. I was into them for a while but they are so old now that screens are always blowing out, etc. Theres so much maint that goes into keeping them going.
I've got 3 Arcade 1 Ups. I had an issue with my Centipede unit (broken fire button) -- but the company sent me a replacement and totally resolved it. The other 2 units were flawless. These are great little collectibles, I am going to buy the Final Fight unit when it comes out next month.

However with simple improvements and money, the cabinet have lasted over four years.. Yes arcade1up have made update cabinets in that time period but for me isnt about replacing them every time a new cab come out it about build an home arcade.. With me work on other project and working full time it impossible to play the cabinet/cabinets everyday but when I do have the chance I have so many to choose from.. Right now I am still waiting on crusin USA, Daytona, afterburner and nfl blitz... And if you wondering what my magic number would be fifty to sixty cabinets.. Yes I do have the room from them I live in texas but I am New Yorker...
Brilliant video RGT 85. I like the Stick Top and the Lights aswell defo gives the Cabinet a neat look. I am planning on keeping my Arcade 1Up SF Cabinet Original cuz I do like that it's a cute looking smaller unit rather a big normal sized Arcade Cabinet but I do have a problem with Player One, for some reason you cannot jump diagonally forward or backwards, all other directions works absolutely fine but kills playing if you can't jump properly, Player Two works flawlessly tho, so apart from that the Cabinet is amazing.
I thought the sticks were bad on this machine. I do prefer the ball tops over bat tops, but I feel the shafts were far too long on the 1up cab. Worse yet, I can't stand the rectangular layout of the buttons. I get that is how they were on the real US cabinets, but the ergonomic wave layout is the way to go for the rest of my days.
Hey RGT you should change the gate on the sticks to octangler . I’m sure they come with square . Octangle feels better and there 5$ a pop . And you just change em our on the bottom of the sticks
You may be one of the few who prefer octo gate. I thought it would improve my play, too, but it was rather counter intuitive for me. I think square is the way to go for fighting games, easier DPs and charge specials. The big mystery to me is how people get good on circle gate sticks.
I didn't get any emails from them before I got my protective cover it just randomly appeared after a couple of months. Also I know you like yours stock but man a Raspberry pi just makes them awesome, every time I'm waiting for Windows 10 to update again I end up playing some random game for way to long on my arcade 1up that's right by my PC haha.
I requested the covers using the online form. I sent follow up emails. I called customer service. I sent follow up emails to customer service. Still nothing. If anyone has extras for Pac Man Galaga or Street Fighter let me know. I'm willing to compensate for them
@@SoulforSale Back when arcade1up started they were working with a much better support company then they are now, now they pretty much ignore you. I can tell you though, that I filled out the online order form and heard nothing for two months and it suddenly showed up, this is after the first one they sent me came cracked so I super glued it together until I got a new one. I would say be patient, they will probably show up, but if not we can probably work something out for me to send you my cracked one, it's just a small part that broke off in shipping, you can hardly tell, but I demanded perfection haha.
When I got mine my Street Fighter kit my game box was broken and had to send it back. I was able to test the LCD screen and it works. I installed a Raspberry Pi, batocera os, and some new buttons to mine and I love it even though it took me a few weeks before I got to play any Arcade games. But with the some of the issues I'm really glad I got mine on clearance for $180.
Having some trouble doing some of the moves at the moment, trying to throw a fire ball with chun li but I can’t seem to work it and just going off what the combo pages online say but when I do it in the game I can’t seem to work it… any tips?
Both overlays/protectors showed up for my SFII and Rampage cabinets yesterday. Ordered on Christmas. They make it better than new. Hopefully they're included from here on out.
Not sure why they would use ball-tops on the sticks for a Street Fighter II cabinet in the first place, if it was a Pac-Man cabinet or something like that, it makes sense, but Street Fighter II?
Not sure if you did this, but many of us have soder a USB port to excess the service menu which has various adjustments you can make to your arcade. Such as the sound system.
I use those LED strips on the back of my TV so there's a little bit of light bouncing off the wall at night. (you're not supposed to watch TV in complete darkness)
This is really cool. I just wish it was a little bit bigger. Does the game play exactly like the arcade? Back in the day when it was ported over to the SNES and genesis there were some slight differences.
Hey did they fix the sound on super streetfighter because when your on the left side when you punch and kick you can not here the sound but if your the right side you can here the kicks and punches it's only on both of the super streetfighter games not on streetfighter Champion Edition did they fix the sound test bro 🤔

Making a 4-player arcade1up cabinet sounds impossible. They would have to increase the size quite a bit.

Same. I would love all the great KONAMI beat em ups and I would love a 4-6 player model. Also an AVP, ALIENS, cabinet would be awesome.
Konami made all 3 of them. So it is very possible. But it would be better if they were 4 player cabinets.

Glad to see you are getting ready for the move. We need a game room tour and new selves in 2k19
I just ordered the mortal kombat cabinet with 12 games including joust on it and a riser so that it can be a little taller. Can’t wait to get it🔥🔥🔥❤️
When I got mine my Street Fighter kit my game box was broken and had to send it back. I was able to test the LCD screen and it works. I installed a Raspberry Pi, batocera os, and some new buttons to mine and I love it even though it took me a few weeks before I got to play any Arcade games. But with the some of the issues I'm really glad I got mine on clearance for $180.
LED strips always make stuff awesome. Looks great!
Crosley and I love our SF2 cab
I 3D Printed my Knobs. Plus I flipped my Front Facing Kick Plate where the Games are shown. So my front is just BLACK.
Great video shawn
"Oh my god its Russell Crow"
Man that blue trim looks sooooo good.
Very nice video. Looking to get a few of these for our family game room.
Good job man. Looks awesome.
Having some trouble doing some of the moves at the moment, trying to throw a fire ball with chun li but I can’t seem to work it and just going off what the combo pages online say but when I do it in the game I can’t seem to work it… any tips?
RGT85 looking fresh & clean (no h*mo).
Both overlays/protectors showed up for my SFII and Rampage cabinets yesterday. Ordered on Christmas. They make it better than new. Hopefully they're included from here on out.
Rgt85 you video's are so entertaining to watch I wished there where longer😃 greetings from the netherlands.
OMG it's Stevie Richards!!!! Love that part from the intro! 💙
"My name is Barry Allen"
Bwo for life
I'm planning to get the mortal Kombat cabinet. The artwork just looks so good on it. I probably will tweak it a bit with better audio and stuff.
Hey RGT 85, I sent COOLTOY the bat tops to review for his video. Was wondering if I could send you different colors to review?
Thanks.
looks good I added neon green bat tops and tape to my rampage 1up
Worth it if u are good enough to play online in A or B class and enjoy that kind of thing . Only reason i bought mine
Not sure why they would use ball-tops on the sticks for a Street Fighter II cabinet in the first place, if it was a Pac-Man cabinet or something like that, it makes sense, but Street Fighter II?
Definitely pops definitely pops definitely pops definitely pops
Not sure if you did this, but many of us have soder a USB port to excess the service menu which has various adjustments you can make to your arcade. Such as the sound system.
How do you do it? Is there a video that explains this?
Nice @rgt85 I can’t wait for the Mortal Kombat system to come out!
.....do you think it would it be possible to make a plexi glass cover?
Do the 'bat' arcade sticks just keep spinning and spinning when you screw them in? That's how my arcade1up MK cabinet is.
Is there a video anywhere on UA-cam that shows two adults standing side by side as they play a game of Street Fighter on one of these cabinets?
I use those LED strips on the back of my TV so there's a little bit of light bouncing off the wall at night. (you're not supposed to watch TV in complete darkness)
I haven't booted up mine in awhile, I thought I would play it more than I do but I don't...lol it still hold up though. Good video sir.
Do you know how to access settings menu on SF2 so to adjust the difficulty level??
You need a lighted marquee which you can get a film printed for $15. It makes a big diff.
