@@gingainfinity1034 That's because it's merely an imitation, after all! Calling it Ghal Maraz would be a true insult to the real hammer, and would be worth a truly great grudge. For an imitation, it's pretty good work, though!
I swear I could watch like 10 minutes of just different things being smashed with Ghal Maraz. It looks like the lads were having a hard time lifting it though. Considering Sigmar was supposed to be an orc-crushing, demon-slaying barbarian beast of a man I can't blame them!
Now just imagine that the real deal was SOLID steel, not hollow, and you realize just what kind of muscle Sigmar and Karl Franz had to be packing!

Sigmar is a lot like Angus McFife tbh. Both wield absurdly large hammers. Both founded a kingdom and drove evil from their lands, both were friends with dwarves and both went on to become gods after death

I can only imagine just how heavy this thing would be if it was solid steel throughout
They were barely able to lift the hammer even though it the hammer was holo inside, and the handle is not quite as long as it should be but it would have to be made of a really tough material to support the weight at the end. So yes you can imagine the hammer in the warhammer world really packing a punch.

No human being can wield even this one. If it weights more than 10 kg it simply cannot be used as a weapon by even the strongest man that ever lived. The moment he swings it he would never be able to recuperate from the movement.
@@rvanzo925 While Guandao are used two handed, they do weigh more then 10kg, 20 to 40lbs. Id like to see Hafbor Bjornsson have a go at it.(6'9", 400lbs).

Could you guys please do an original war-hammer build, or maybe a hammer challenge? Whenever you make hammers for videos they end up being hollow, so it would be cool to see a solid, practical war-hammer. (not necessarily historically accurate, but at least something that shows what goes into making an effective hammer)
well, if they made something like it it would more or less end up being historically accurate simply because if they make something that is NOT it will be not usable (because the only way to really make it inaccurate is by making the hammerhead too big -> it would be too heavy to lift).
The reason why they make all the hammers hollow is because they are way too big so if they were solid they would be unable to lift them.
As for the mechanical difficulty of it, it is honestly just nothing challenging because a warhammer is in the end just a block of metal on a stick (probably every crafting hammer from a random store would do the trick). Even a crow beak (like sigmars hammer) is not that much more challenging because it simply means you'll have to hammer one end into a pointy end.
Sure they could make an awesome looking piece by adding details, engravings and stuff but if they do that they could as well make something inherently more challenging AND put the whole engraving-thing into work.
In the end, this is just the wrong channel for a request such as this. I'd advise looking for a more practical smithing channel. I have done some quick searching and found some who made warhammers: "Alec Steele", "workshop of death", "Turner Forge" and "BCtruck, rebuild, repair,repurpose". I have not actually checked their videos for historical accuracy or depth of information but I think you'll be more likely to find on their channels what you want.
They can actually, but no one could even lift it, so they had to make the more efficient way, or accurately make it historically, like a ordinary man can lift,
Look up MichaelCthulu if you wanna see big solid(and wholeheartedly impractical weapons)

Quick couple of suggestions:
1. Weapons from Persona 5 would be awesome to see, particularly Joker's daggers
2. Melee weapons from Team Fortress 2, such as the Spy's butterfly knives or the Demoman's claymore
3. Zacian's sword from Pokemon Sword and Shield would be fun to see, maybe paired with a Zamazenta-inspired shield

@@FeeDBacKMKII actyually a war hammer is used spike first against armor, it works as a can opener fairly well, the flat striking surface spread the impact force negating a lot of the value of the weapon

This is cool, but again welded sheets, it’s interesting that at least someone will show on UA-cam a war hammer of a similar size forged from a piece of steel with all necessary heat treatment. It's a pity no one even tries to do this.

Hi guysl, another great project which I enjoyed watching. Especially since I have a new project/challenge for your entire team.
If you do read this and since you asked what your followers wanted to see you do, here's what I would actually like to see you achieving... Forging a 1:1 scale of Thor's hammer Mjolnir in the way Eitri and his fellow dwarfs would of done it. Not welding pieces together (for shape) and then filling it with lead but rather taking a solid piece of 5160 steel and actually forging the hammer from start to finish (folding it a few times to show some patterns), with all the engraving on all 8 angled sides done by hand, not electro/chemically etched. Having a Tungsten handle running through it all the way to the disc on top of the hammer (maybe done in a socket so that the handle screws in to the top disc via a forged socket for extra strength). 5160 steel is what a true and real Mjolnir deserves, heat treated and tempered would make it the hardest, densest, strongest, heaviest and maybe even a world record title holder and one of the most incredible piece ever forged. I'm sure that if such a Mjolnir was ever forged in such fashion, that it would easily be given a seal of approval/certification from Marvel Universe/MCU itself. With such a validation, a phone call to the Guinness Book Of World Records would be the next step. Just imagine the publicity, the viewers count, new subscribers following such a project coming to fruition, it would go extremely viral, especially with Marvel certifying it as the best 1:1 100% life size scale around, making this Mjolnir a one of a kind.
P.S. This would not only be a one of a kind but also a true Master piece of forged steel, a highly collectible Marvel item that I am sure would have true Marvel Universe/MCU older collectors/fans go into a bidding war to acquire it. The only way to do so is, to really make the size a 1:1 life size scale replica of the original in the movies. Which if 100% accurate and certified by Marvel themselves, would fetch a very high price. Hence why the need for it to be made out of 5160 steel, heat treated and tempered, have the art engraved on all angled 8 sides and have a Master leather craftsman do the handle, also have Ilya Alekseyev hand engrave all 8 angled sides and then electro/chemically etched the Celtic symbol on 1 side and the worthiness enchantment electro/chemically etched on the other side (neither side engraved) the worthiness spell and Celtic symbol need to be very subtle to the eye. The pummel would need to be 5160 steel and made to look exactly as the ones in the movies and absolutely needs a leather strap attached to the pummel even if never used due to the weight of the hammer. I can just see it now, it would literally be a Master Piece of forged steel and again, a highly collectible item. And please, no chroming or polished so much that it looks like it's nickel plated. Need to see the grains of the sand paper and to darken a little.

@@TGPDrunknHick yes, its one of my favorite swords designed by peter lyon I actually created my own elven lore where elf made steel is like damascus so I think glamdring will look even more beautiful with the suitable pattern
@SidtheKid you might be right. the hilt does seem to be longer than I remember on all the reproductions I can see but, the actual film shots I can find it doesn't seem to be all that
long. definitely a little longer than many longswords but, it doesn't look like a claymore or anything from what in film shots I can see. might just be scale messing with me though.
