Well with the cooler off we tried using a solvent sprayer with water and soap to flush out the block, heater core, radiator and sure compressor the best we could probably got 50% out doing that is my guess. Then 3 Dawn flushes and a water flush.

Blew my turbo few days ago. Do you think I should replace the oil cooler or can I get away with not changing it the same time I replace the exhaust manifold and turbo and air cleaner air filters. Will I be okay by just changing the oil, cleaning air filters, and intake tubing? I just flushed my coolant with dawn/hot water with your flush guide video for coolant systems and replaced with shell rotella ELC NF 2 weeks ago so I really don’t want to have to do it again? I ran the truck about 200 miles loaded at 80k Ibs on the faulty turbo (didn’t have a choice had to make it back home didn’t want a ridiculous tow bill) I did baby it the whole way tho to try and avoid using boost from the turbo

So mine leaks right where the front adaptor goes into the cooler itself, I assume the orange O-ring is bad, It only leaks when its below like 35* out, Is that oring easily changed out? It does not look like much has to come loose, just the 2 bolts holding the adaptor to the water pump?

I was always told to use soap that wouldn't foam or bubble such as a liquid dish soap, that the bubbles cause cavitation in the pump and wouldn't have proper flow to flush very well. Just wondering if you had further thoughts on this?

Bubbles don’t really form beneath the surface so if the coolant is full it should flow through the pump even if it’s sudsy on the top.

I have used a cat cooling system cleaner and it is expensive for what you get is cleans but not like dish soap. The one thing I loved about the cat over the soap is it didn’t foam up at all so it didn’t take long to flush system after it was run through. But for price it’s cheaper to use dishwasher soap with a quick shot of dish soap is my choice it doesn’t foam up as bad as straight dish soap. That’s my experience with cat cooling system cleaner

@@kakarot82 to my knowledge acert engines do not have a oil temp sensor. They only correlate the water temp, engine load and I think rpm to come up with the temp. All mine run 200 plus. Sometimes up to 240. Acerts do have a tendency to blow gaskets from time to time though!

Similar, but the C15 is newer and based on the 3406E. Oil cooler design is very similar.
