If one has never visited Vietnam, Da Nang is the best place to go first. It's not crowded as Hanoi and HCM. Plus the resorts along the beach are very relaxing. You can also visit Hoi An and Hue.

se7en Zee I disagree. One of the worst cities I've visited in Vietnam hands down. The food options were so bad. I'll never go back to danang
One may as well go to Surfers Paradise, Waikiki, Miami or Bali or 100 similar resort city's around the globe !
If you want Vietnam Hanoi and surrounding areas are an absolute must Da Nang is fantastic but you are far better off experiencing true Vietnam not a new Fabricated Viet.
I good idea is to do a guided tour, 1, 2 or even 3 weeks then spend the end of your tour in a resort in Da Nang ; )
@@Largeportion1000 can you please elaborate on "new fabricated Vietnam"? I'm in Vietnam for the first time now, so I don't know what to think about it. Been to Saigon, Vung Tau (best so far for me), Na Thrang, Dalat, at the moment Danang and will proceed to Hue and Hoi An.
Da Nang one of the best city in Vietnam,I was in Da Nang 11 month in 2018 I really a have incredible experience I never forget. About the first thing have to eat, because I am the Da Nang citizen and Quang Noodles is my favourite thing. I have to say that Quang Noodles with Frog is not the speciality in Danang or in Vietnam. In Danang, Quang Noodles is cooked with Chickens, Pork or Shrimp, not Frog! You can ask any Danang citizens, they can tell you that what the Right Quang Noodles is!

Da Nang,what about 40 or so many years ago my old OLD stomping ground more like patrolling the only two things I remember Monkey and Marble mountains still there nothing like the 5th world village I remember way ,WAY back in 1971 how lucky was I getting a free round trip ticket and told/ordered to dig in good, because soldier it will be1 year before I get to use the back end of my round trip.Sarg also mention usually if you're unlucky enough to came back short of a year ,say no more sarge I got you, by the way what are those big green ass Bags used for big enough for a body to fit in say no more 1 lucky year it was, Da Nang, Vietnam. Here I go again if its not back in time, hell yeah back to NUM,HATS OFF a minute of silence for Ho Che Ming ,what type of communist system were are the V.C.s aka CHARLIE they are runts respectfully said don't sell them Short.

It's not the street food; it's water that used to wash the vegetables. But it's unavoidable. Bring Imodium, or any anti-diarrhea medication.
lol bring med to street food? do u know how crazy that sounds? tell you the truth, the people overthere dont even eat street food(mostly teenagers who dont care). diarhea is normal, some people even get food poisoning just be careful.
No, I bring it just in case. One can get sick eating street food or food from a 5-star hotel.
I eat the local food when I'm traveling. It doesn't matter if it's on the streets or in restaurant; the food has to be cooked, fruits can be peeled and soup has to be broiled. I skip the ice and salad.
