I mostly agree with this analysis.
I'd also add that people with money have fewer places to park their cash, which causes them to buy cars (or watches). Debt has awful returns. There are continual claims of the stock market being in a bubble. So, people just look at cars as relatively more attractive than before.
In Australia, prices have increased (I've made money on my Gallardo Superleggera over the past six months)

Yea I agree. It’s has an exotic look and performance, but the question is .. will it be mass produced like the rest of the corvettes? And are people over paying MSRP now?
You wouldn’t want to see that video. PJ would wipe his ass with the new C8. I see this man driving around delray in 400k+ vehicles like it ain’t shit. The C8 or any corvette for that matter is made for the middle class, blue collar worker. For 65 to 75k the C8 would be an excellent value for said person. I see some dealers selling C8’s for 100k+ right now which is ridiculous considering you can get a used R8 or NSX for the same prices and those cars are better than the C8 in every way imaginable.

Are MKIV Supra turbos gonna ever be affordable again? I’m seeing high mileage(100k +)sell for $70k and over
The only thing I see happening is eventually they run into a price where the car hype doesnt make sense for what you're getting. AKA even if you have the cleanest low mile supra best spec, at a certain dollar there's just too many better options to justify the price. I say this as someone that plans on getting one next year to keep forever, I don't see pricing ever going above 150k consistently and would say around 100k is really the limit (yes there are 1 off sales above 100k but not enough data) because at that dollar theres just too many better options. Tbh you could say the same for the cars priced at 70k right now. PJ would know far better. To directly answer your question I dont ever see them dropping below 50k again for 6 speed turbos. I wouldnt be surprised if they sat at 70k because it's a reliable engine with a lot of aftermarket support compared to other cars.
@@MOHIMEDIALLC I just think that’s it’s one of those special cars that comes along and helps to define a time that we all long for. “Better” is subjective. The big issue with higher end cars that you could get for the same price is that god forbid a transmission or engine issue occurs you’re looking at $20k or more to fix or replace and Supra’s just don’t seem to have those worries in the back of the minds of the people who own them. The engine/trans failure rate is extremely low and even then mainly in Supra’s that are pushing 1000+hp and/or tuned improperly. They are very reliable sports cars and it’s weird how teenagers now are more into them over Tesla’s in many cases. I dunno man I see the Supra as one of the few that will continue to rise similar to the R34 GTR. Sure there are more advanced, faster cars out there for the price but are they as iconic? Nostalgia is a real b*tch and millennials and even kids coming up today remember Supra’s from being in films and playing them in games and dreaming of them. Toyota 2000GT’s are selling in the millions now for context. You do make some great points however.

I was considering buying something classic or entry level exotic.. I look at prices and everything is up 10 to 30k!! Then I see this video confirming what I was thinking. I will end up waiting. I don't think vipers will stay up and I don't think zr1s will go straight up in value. They may go back down in time.
The point of this video is during the time you wait, those prices will be long gone because a new floor has been created. I can't speak for the viper or zr1, but the point of the video is that certain cars will never come back down and then other cars eventually will.

Buy a viper for 10k over what they used to cost or.. buy a used denali 3500 dually [even tho the cost went up too thanks to wuhan]. I am choosing the denali. I can almost double my income and buy something better than a viper with time

there's a chip shortage... They are no longer getting produce 'cause a Big shop in Japan got burned down! All the manufacturers are slowing if not stopping production of new releases meaning all the old cars that are already out or exotic will jump up!
