- It's finally time to collect my brand new Lamborghini Huracan STO! It's been a long time in the making, but now the totally wild monster from Italy arrives at @TheShmuseum to join the collection. The colour is out of this world, what a mad machine!

I've been waiting for the right car to become my first ever Lamborghini, and when the wraps were pulled off the bonkers Huracan STO, it was calling out to be the one. However, unexpectedly the car has arrived a fair bit earlier than we thought, having been delivered to Lamborghini Pangbourne a good month or two ahead of schedule. This is no bad thing, there might even be time to get it Nurburgring ready before the end of the season!
After setting off from the Shmuseum in the trusty G63, it's straight over to the dealership to see the car for the very first time, run through all the accessories and the handover process with Craig, and then ultimately pull back the covers for the ultimate 'wow' moment. Craig and I have been talking about when I'll buy my first Lambo for at least 7 years, it's amazing that has now happened and I can't thank him and the team enough for their efforts.
My STO is presented in Viola Bast paintwork, with the black 20" Hek Centrelock wheels and yellow calipers, finished with the full satin visual carbon fibre. Inside we have the new STO Sport seat, on a mostly black Alcantara finish with some yellow accents. The spec in person is absolutely incredible, totally stunning!
You might be wondering, what about the yellow accents? As explained in the spec video, due to supply and time scales, Lamborghini are limited in the number of cars that can be ordered with the contrast package at this time, as such I chose to take delivery of it with the contrast in satin black and then change it post delivery. I'm yet to decide if that will be with vinyl or committed by painting it at Chartwell like my GT Black Series.
I didn't quite know what to expect from this car, but my initial impressions are over the moon, it's just as mad as a Lamborghini should be!

Honestly, I think the car looks better like this. That color looks sooooo good, why cover half of it up with black and then throw on a bunch of yellow to distract the eye from it? The subtle yellow as-is works quite well.

Taking inspiration from Mr.JWW's McLaren Senna when it comes to exterior pinstriping in bright colour would go well on Shmee's STO. If he adds the bright yellow in a subtle way against the Viola Bast purple then it could work. I don't like the OEM option for exterior colour accents either.

I'm loving it this way more than the render config. Keeping the yellow to a minimum on the calipers and mild interior stitching. The uniformity of the color on it is what's stunning to me.

@@dimsoneill it’s all a matter of opinion. I think it looks good. I’m boring so probably would’ve gone black, but a Lamborghini pulls off colors no other vehicles really can, other than other exotics.

Stunning car and awesome spec. Also the quote is quite accurate for the car. Only one problem. The quote comes from Enzo Ferrari, not Ferruccio Lamborghini. Translated it means: "Think making tractors, because we make cars". With these words Enzo Ferrari wanted to belittle Ferruccio Lamborghini, and his answer to this offense was the creation of the first Lamborghini, the 350 GT. This is only a very summarized version of the story, but check it online, because it is impressive and it explains how the brand Lamborghini decided to stop doing tractors and starting doing cars. BTW, congrats for the STO!!!

Long, long overdue for sure! Honestly this was quite the surprise because it came so much sooner than expected, and I have never seen a car in the colour so I didn't really know what it would look like and it's taken my breath away

I was saying this on Tim's instagram as well but unpopular opinion : I feel the STO wud look so good if we keep the black accents, not do the yellow and have the wheels in like dark bronze to go with the glorious Viola Bast! 😍

It's an STO, it needs to be bright and bold so it is going to get the yellow accents. Controversial colour schemes will never be to everyone's tastes but certainly are for me.

That color is absolutely wild. Love it so much. The way it catches the light and creates shadows as you move around the car and accentuates all the intricate lines and edges of the car is just spectacular. Glad you didnt go with the accents in paint so we could see it in its current form too. Curious how it will look with them on, but for now its absoltely stunning.

Those are incredible specs, congratulations! One thing I would like to point out, and I don't want to troll or make too much noise, but the phrase on the tags 'Lei pensi a fare i trattori, che le auto le sappiamo fare noi' was actually said by Enzo Ferrari to Ferruccio Lamborghini not by Lamborghini himself. It was an answer to a complaint about Ferruccio's car, a Ferrari, which was having a recurring issue with the clutch finally fixed by Lamborghini himself, an entrepeneur in tractors manufacturing. From this episode the phrase, which can be roughly translated: 'Please mind your business at building tractors, since we are good at building cars'. And suddenly in 1963 Lamborghini car manufacturing was born. Bye :-)

I am too, it came through much earlier than we thought! I'm not complaining though, maybe there's enough time to get it all prepared and the PPF installed before the Nurburgring season comes to an end...

Initially, I wasn't a huge fan of the colour scheme. However Tim has nailed it on this one - take a bow!
To me initially, it looked Hot Pink, or Electric Pink. But as it was driven out of the showroom and got darker, it looked better. I think it suits the STO really well, and even more so once the contrasting yellow are on it.

It’s because the Huracán STO is a road legal version of the super trofeo Evo and Choi has the super trofeo Evo kit on his Huracán.

I couldn’t agree more. The STO just has so much more presence than even the Senna. The Senna is great in its own way but the Lambo just has panache and passion and is just so Italian. The Senna is more “new money” to me. The STO is just amazing. My fave for sure.

This is probably the best STO I have ever seen! But Tim don’t go for the contrast pack! Seriously, you will kill it and make it look too funky. Unless that’s what you want, to make a color statement even more obvious. But from a design point of view or better said spec point of you I wouldn’t change anything. The black goes very well with purple. I would seriously consider leaving it how it is. Congratulations again!

Color's fine, actually. I've had more cringes when the Mystic Blue SLS AMG Black Series' wheels were painted from black to matte silver. But this STO's color is fine by me. And even it's final look is all good

Awesome colour! Reminds me of a (now most collectible) colour used on several Hot Wheels cars from the the very early 70's and I mean that in a complimentary way. Its definitely the stand out colour in your collection. Can't wait to see the yellow highlights.
I feel like Tim was genuinely awe struck with this one. We've seen him excited with reveals before, but this one just seemed on another level.
