I work in public relations for the US government. To even suggest that having a degree in business marketing qualifies you to analyze or critique political campaign strategies is insane. That's something that a kindergartener would think. They are worlds apart, and I feel like you don't need to be an American or a professional in the field to know that. I feel like the average person would know that. It's common sense I fear.

As a Canadian, we do very much pay attention to US politics - a common saying being “When the USA is sick, Canada coughs/sneezes” our cultures can be quite linked in some ways, and very different in others, but paying attention to goings on can give us a heads up on things they may try to get to stick here as well! Hope that helps!

as someone who has a master’s degree on novel foods where we learn everything about bioactive ingredients (molecules that have any kind of activity on the organism, good or bad) food doesn’t give you these great benefits he claims, you’d have to take immense amounts of most foods to get the benefits from those molecules/ingredients that’s why the claims that are legally approved in the EU are those that focus on the idea that food can help your health because those ingredients can activate certain metabolism processes, but they’ll never be as strong as medicine on any level (edit: this same law applies to food supplements)

In regards to the mood improving honey, he's relying fully on the St. John's Wart for those claims. St. John's Wart actually does have some mood stabilizing effects when taken as a supplement. Problem is, it also interacts negatively with just about every medication you can think of including- IIRC- *prescription* mood stabilizers like SSRIs and antipsychotics. Taking it in the form of a pill or gummy is usually fine because most people will remember to tell their doctors about supplements they're taking in those forms, but having it as a food can really present a problem for people's health and is very irresponsible.

I have always heard that if you get bad seasonal allergies in a new area you are moving to to do a spoonful of local honey to help adjust to the local pollen to help alleviate your seasonal allergies. I also always make a hot toddy when sick and it at least has the placebo effect of making me feel better if it doesn’t actually work.

ANY supplement with a proprietary blend is an automatic no from me & you rarely see that outside of MLM products which are scams. They only tell you the TOTAL amount for everything in it but you won’t know how much of each ingredient is in it aka if one ingredient needs 10mg to be effective & work, they could be putting 2mg in it. Sometimes the proprietary blend will say 50mg but have 6 ingredients listed & you’ll know for one of those ingredients you’d need 60mg for it to work so there’s no way there could be enough of everything. Basically it’s sketchy to not just list the amount of each thing if all was above board & you wanted to be transparent so when they don’t I absolutely wouldn’t waste my money cuz the brand is going out of their way to be shady IMO.

Idk if it’s different in other countries but it’s really not such a process to get into an MBA program. Most people add on a masters degree as an extra year after finishing their bachelors. Like a lot of my classmates were like 22-23 when graduating. Yes it’s an extra step in schooling and it can take longer than a year (my program was 1.5) and it’s impressive, especially for jobs but like…. not in the way he’s trying to gas himself up

at the end of the day i couldn't care less about this guy once this video is done but there's 2 things i wanted to mention, as a canadian.
1, since the conversion rate from usd to cad is so terrible, i see a lot of canadian influencers using the price in cad to warn there canadian watchers what to expect, so im not too sure why thats a big deal. i guess i do find it strange that he didn't also give the price in usd, which is common, but its not a red flag to use your currency when talking about how expensive something ended up being.
2, its also not that weird to be invested in american politics as a canadian, bc as much as i'd love to pretend that we're completely seperate from america, and their politics and dumbness doesn't effect us, it very much does. the rise in right wing politics in america has directly resulted in a similar rise in canada. the decisions that happen in american politics and law passing have a heavy influence in how canadian politicians choose to go about things, so it's also not crazy from someone interested in marketing campaigns to be invested. Like I said, I'm also canadian, and I don't have any real interest in politics but I am more invested in this years election than I'd like to be, because I know it could really screw us over lmao
Sorry for the novel and any typos, i didn't realize i had so much to say lol

He called them objectively disgusting - which rubbed me the wrong way because someone's taste in food is always such a subjective thing. He was just going on about how bad they were but not really explaining why, except that they were dry, and he spat some of the cookies out. I've never had crumble cookies, but I just can't imagine any cookies being that bad, that you would have to spit them out. And he kept calling it a scam. It's not a scam: they just sell cookies that you don't like. At that moment it just kind of hit me "Oh you just enjoy being negative about stuff."
