Miss Darcie seemed like the most genuine of all of those influencers covered in this video. And it feels like she got the short end of the stick when it came to gifts from the company. I mean, amazing that the company was able to make a shade that fit her perfectly, but when you compare what she got to Mikayla? 😬

The actual nails for sale on Pink Friday nails have been custom designed by Nicki’s nail artist, the pics shown in the video were never on the actual website for sale, that was all made up by someone for controversy. Secondly they (the actual products on pfn) are on the more expensive side, sure, but if the customers think they are worth the price ranges between 10-25 dollars for press-on sets is worth it just because they like the designs or the company, whats the issue? I get having issues with nicki as a person and not wanting to support her, but this thing about the nails being dropshipped is literally just fake news.

I miss when we had beauty gurus. Early 2010’s. Today they’re just influencers pushing products. It used to be people talking about makeup in general/techniques- today it’s like infomercials pushing a product is the ONLY thing they talk about

I just assumed they were including an ASMR element to their content, which I personally can't stand, but a lot of people enjoy for some reason. It's the tapping of their nails on things that annoys me to NO end.

If this one Korean brand, whose population is 99.99999997% Asian can expand on their foundation line at the drop of a hat because one single black creator pointed out the lack of options, every American and European business claiming “oh it’s so difficult, oh the formulation process is so long and arduous” has NO, repeat, NO excuse to not have colors for the literal millions of citizens living in those countries with Miss Darcie’s complexion. Simply none. It’s laziness and racism. South Korea isn’t even that socially progressive or immune to severe colorism and yet they STILL expanded their shade range to include an ethnicity’s skin tone that is extremely rare in their own country. With this move they’re undoubtedly going to get a lot more customers with darker skin tones purchasing their foundation, people who have always wanted to try K Beauty but were restricted because of limited shade range. It’s really that easy. An absolutely simple and painfully obvious business decision that seems beyond the understanding of many non-black owned brands in the US and UK.

I am genuinely curious Where that price comes from? Ive seen the most expensive set on Pink Friday nails be 25 dollars which for sure is a lot but thats for the really long, big and heavily decorated styles, it is still a lot of money yes but if thats what the customer thinks its worth then whats the issue…
They are not $100 for 5. They range from $11-$25 a set
one pack of accent nails is $100 but there’s a range of prices. if you go to the salon to get those nails they’d be twice the price.

Mikayla sure thinks highly of herself, doesn’t she? I think it’s more Darcy (please forgive me if I misspelled it), who spoke up and gave an HONEST review, that did more for TirTir! She seems so grateful too. Not so much for the bag, but for being included in the shade range, she didn’t act fake. As for the other two, they are disgusting. 🤦🏼♀️🙄 The Glamzilla chick is just jealous. LOL she’s seething with jealousy! Please remember-without viewers, Mikayla and Glamzilla won’t have all this free stuff and will be humbled!
Mikayla & so many others have learned that they win more if they lie. It sucks cuz I’d much rather have the trust & respect of millions of people that take my recommendations than a few brands & that’s not to say you can’t love products or brands AT all. It’s the over the top, every single thing is the best most life changing thing ever.

I stopped watching Jackie years ago when she stopped doing tutorials and reviews. I feel like she went more business oriented, and good for her for doing that, but I feel like the authenticity and genuineness left when she switched over

I think so ppl can see the variety of shades. The creator can show the darkest, the lightest and what works best for them. Content creators often do give aways so the brands are probably thinking they will be a sensible adult and give away what isn't going to be used but some of these greedy/wasteful ppl end up keeping it all or throwing away the extra.

i'm so sick of the "korean brands only make makeup for koreans" arguments as if all korean people have the same light skin tone. i gave up wearing foundation/concealer 7 years ago because i couldn't find anything affordable & cruelty free with a yellow undertone instead of straight orange, and brands like this bribing influencers instead of having a good range to start with is making me glad of that

With regards to the Korean foundation shade range, considering there are mixed race Koreans and foreigners living in Korea, it never really made sense for them to have a shade range of 3-4 shades.
If makeup companies want to tap into the international market via the virality of social media, their first order of business should be to have the shade range to include everyone who might buy their foundation, from shades for those with the pale, neutral skin, to shades that include the whole gamut of undertones that exist with richer skin tones. It’s why I’d listen to MissDarcei over Mikayla any day, because MissDarcei actually made a difference on the international appeal of the TirTir foundation.
i love Olive and June nails, i have super tiny nail beds like kid size nail beds, they are super strong nails tbh and really do last me two weeks
That’s good to hear! I have really long and wide nail beds and love them because I can also get a perfect fit. I just can’t buy anything smaller than medium length. Looks like the collab just wasn’t in her size. It’s a shame because they actually do have a great range

I fled dv two months ago after 13 yrs of abuse. I have nothing and everything i make from work goes to my divorce attorney. I cant even save up for an apartment. 5 of us went to the Philippines 🇵🇭 for a work trip in March last year and we all had to do the bribery training and honestly it makes sense why companies have it in place 😂
They took us to dinner in really expensive restaurants. They brought our drinks and just trying to rub us up nicely lol 😂 they put us up in a really nice business hotel and we all got back to the room and we’re just like….we just fell for it. How are we supposed to do our auditing and training for them now after they just treated us like queens (and a king) like …. I feel like influencers who are on PR lists should do bribery training 😂 I can send them my PowerPoint training material if they want it 😂😂

Now everyone is singing their praises for extending the shade range. They probably wouldn’t have done that if an influencer hadn’t gone viral for pointing it out. It’s a company first and foremost, they do not do things out of the good of their heart. Giving those gifts builds a relationship where influencers will continue to push the products in a positive way.

the olive and june one is unfortunate because they are the only ones that have a size range that fits all my nails. I think they are the most size inclusive brand at the drug store for press ones. Jackie needed like medium length.. not short or extra short.
The fact that they shove the gifts that they get on our face! The same way that most workplaces say you can’t receive gifts from your customers/partners etc, to avoid bribery, this should be the same! One thing is to receive a product to try and review, but why on earth is a skincare or makeup brand gifting a bag?
I literally live 3 miles from where Mikayla grew up. I was excited someone was semi famous from Massachusetts. Watching her videos i was confused we don’t sound like her, we have a high population of Portuguese. She named her dog after a food my culture makes and she don’t even pronounce it correctly. She pronounces her dogs name cherico when the food pronounced she reese. So that’s odd, She also comes into Fall River to get her lips done and I’ve been told she’s not speaking the way she does when she’s on camera. She literally makes us sound dumb and why name your dog after a Portuguese food if your not going to say it properly! Like i said i WAS excited about her until i watched her videos and realized she’s representing Massachusetts in a bad light and is just saying and doing anything for that bag.

Update:Tirtir flew Miss Darcei to Japan at the beginning of August to celebrate the launch of all 30 shades in Japan and when she arrived they gifted her with a Birkin. 😊

yes, but why show it off to your followers? I work in the beauty industry for over 20 years. We were getting gifts and incentives from brands before social media was even a thing (not as luxurious as this, of course), but never ever would you tell that to the clients and gloat about it.
