I’ve learned about this in UA-cam videos years ago. This guy is just nutty because he had one weird experience and now believes he’s the missing link in this mystery. It’s weird.
@@justinforillinois correlation is not necessary causation. Could it be just that Chicago got rid of Beetlejuice as mayor and now have some lefty Marxist, handpicked by George Soros that is more than happy to watch the crime rate increase even more? Store lootings are off the charts, you have drill rap steady adding fuel to the fire, King Von smoked at 17 people on his own without him getting caught. My point is, how can you isolate these few cases from all the other chaos it’s going down? And at the expense of getting political for a second, it’ll never end as long as people keep voting these Democrats in that promise the black community one thing, while telling the national media, they think Black people are too dumb to get drivers licenses, and that’s why we need voter ID laws. Lol.
I’m so glad that former army guy called him out, because he’s 100% correct. As frustrating as it is for us in the public to watch, there’s a reason law enforcement investigations like this move silently: the less information that’s public, the more you have to identify and nail the killer with when you find them.
There are so many cases where they found the criminal because the person mentioned something that the police never released publicly, like that there were 12 stab wounds or the murder weapon was determined to be a barbecue fork. Sometimes that there were stab wounds *at all* they don't release publicly and the suspect will be like "I don't know who stabbed her!" even though the police didn't say anyone was stabbed. That's why they keep so much of the investigation quiet, because it's easier to point to a suspect when they mention something that wasn't in any of the reports.
naw dude ... there's a reason serial killers were a way bigger thing before the age of the internet, now that people who do it not as their job, just to fulfill their sense of justice are able to contribute via the internet shit actually gets done !!

The immediate red flag for me was how he made it very clear he doesn't drink. If someone was trying to pick up inebriated men... they wouldn't try for someone who is walking perfectly fine and looks clear headed. They would target someone who is visably drunk.
That part was very off to me, he said he was walking home form a bar, then clarified he doesn't drink but was walking home. Made me think he made the story up.
Maybe I'm reading into it wrong, but did his eyes seem red? Maybe he smokes at bars? Otherwise, I guess some people go to bars to play pool or hangout with friends/meet new people.
To me, I think he may have over exaggerated the story and posted it, or maybe did something else. Then saw he got views and desided that this was what he was going to do even if it's wrong.
Agreed. I wonder if the 2 investigators who've been working on it that he mentioned are the guys who have been pushing this theory for years. At least 1 is a retired cop and it's believed they're just doing a cash grab like Mr. Twitchy here.
@@cammysixx the annoying thing about the "smiley face killer" is that technically all the hallmarks of a pattern for a killer exist. Drunk men who are alone. Target check. All drowned. Method check. All drowned? Yeah drunk people notoriously make bad decisions and stumble, sometimes literally, into dangerous situations. Smiley faces spray painted on the walls? Wow it's almost like the smiley face is one of the most drawn symbols. 😂😂

He literally provided a real, probable cause for why inebriated people might end up in the river. Drunk, walking alone at night near a bosy of water is enough of a risk. He even said it was a cause of some of the previous deaths in one of his first tiktoks. He very well might've been approached by a car but then he went on to fabricate everything else. Crazy how far people will go for clicks.
Had in incident in my town a while back where a dude went missing in an area know for it's bars and a canal. He'd been out drinking when he disappeared so a lot of people assumed he feel in the canal. So they dredged the canal, not only did they find his body, but they also found a couple of other bodied they weren't even looking for. Stay away from bodies of water if you're drunk, folks.
So as someone who is a male within that age range that lives in Chicago. Around this exact area in fact. I will say men have been coming up missing and dumped into the lake. However, I will also say that taxi drivers here are desperate and aggressive and will beg you to take a taxi ride. Doesn’t mean they plan on kidnapping you they just want your money. And they see you walking home as a quick cash grab. So yes, what he’s saying is true however I don’t think he’s fully connecting the right dots.
It happens to men and women in a lot of major cities. I completely agree with your assessment tho Or maybe he is the killer and wants to taunt the cops
shit like this is why taxis have to be clearly marked in my city in canada (not sure if its the same in other provs) if it doesnt have markings, its not a cab
Wasn't the men going missing and being found in lakes or rivers thought to be the work of the smiley faced killers because nearby all the bodies was a graffiti smiley face?
I love how everyone skipped over the fact that he said his parents called the cops on him for wellness check. That only happens when someone is having a mental breakdown or can't be reached
It usually isnt a good indication. My sister had the police do a welfare check on me. This was because i hadn't replied to msgs etc in a lot longer than usual & i do have S thoughts etc. So whilst i wasn't having a breakdown it is understandable.
@@maryjane4432yeah but that’s not the same thing as getting in a strangers car. there’s going to be evidence of a person going in a lyft/uber/taxi, that has a paper trail unlike accepting a ride from some random person outside a bar.
I can speak for the ones in Wisconsin. They all happened in college towns, 95% were men, 90% or so were college students, 100% were drinking and leaving a bar. LaCrosse especially got worked up about it and they installed cameras in the parks near the river. What it was, was the simplest explanation. They were drunk, wandering alone, walked downhill which is towards rivers or lakes, and they fell in and drowned. That was it in 100% of the cases. Parents and friends of the people didn't want to admit that their, generally young men, would get drunk and do something foolish like that. But it happened in every instance.
As someone who got the bright idea to climb onto a 10 storey building roof while nearly black-out drunk TWICE, I guarantee most of these freak disappearances are idiots just like me, just way unluckier ones. Also don't do that. Sober me knows it's stupid.
@kitty3999 They'd only do that if there's one specific location that's a magnet for it, otherwise you're building a fence around every accessible body of water. I lived in Louisiana near the Mississippi and there was nothing to stop anyone from walking up a levee and falling in... and climbing up on levees at night while inebriated is super common as immortalized in the song American Pie. Drunk people really enjoy being around large bodies of water.
I’m 30 and live in the City. There’s dozens of cops outside the bars when the bars close and hundreds of cameras from private businesses too. As someone who had a friend that drowned in the lake last year… it’s gross to speculate and that he ties himself to someone else’s grief. The playpen kills a lot of tourist and visitors every year with night swims or high water tides that reach over the sidewalk.
Yes! This phenomenon of young men turning up dead in waterways has been happening in the UK for over a decade. It is NOT some criminal organization or a serial killer. This is people under the influence of alcohol falling into the water and drowning. These are tragic accidents but instead of raising awareness about this very real problem, idiots like this are talking about serial killers and organized crime, exploiting these tragedies and its despicable!
@Lucaz99 I’m not from the area and just reading between the lines, but I think it’s a body of water, I guess somewhere along the river where so many people have unfortunately drowned after a night of drinking.
I was skeptical about Ken anyway, but that fake business card was the icing on the cake. Not to mention why would *private* investigators want to recruit a blabber mouth who could compromise any sort of case by revealing too much? And on TikTok of all places
“Hey guys there’s this very public figure who always talks about crimes and cases, think we should hire them? Maybe like in a ‘it’s so crazy it might work’ kinda way?” Lolol
20:32 there is a business called RAPIS 🤨🤨🤨🤨 in Chicago with a similar business card logo. R. A. Private Investigation & Security. The symbol looks like "The eye of Ra" which is an Egyptian/Cleopatra symbol
Not to mention that private investigators don't have any special powers. Ken claimed that because of the P.I. they now had access to autopsy reports and such. The police aren't obligated to release any information to private investigators and likely wouldn't in this situation. The police likely had ongoing cases suspecting foul play in at least several of these deaths. They aren't going to release information involving ongoing investigations to a third party.

This sounds like he is suffering from an episode of paranoid mania. The quick rate of speaking, the fact that he’s seemingly up at late hours of the night not sleeping, delusional and scattered thinking and his parents requested the police do a wellness check on him, hinting that he may have previously diagnosed mental health issues.
He's Schizophrenic...... Unfortunately that disease has a range that could go until your mid 20's before signs/symptoms appear. Obviously as a professional I'm basing that on the assumption that he truly believes what he is saying. He has entered paranoid delusions along with hallucinations. His comment "thank you to my parents for calling the police for a wellness check", let's one know that his parents would rather call authorities instead of simply calling or checking on him themselves. They've reached a point that only professionals are able to help. Again I'm basing that on he truly believes what he is saying.
@@phoradio1277 you don't have nearly enough information to say that he's schizophrenic. you can try to say that he matches things that other schizophrenics have, but at the end of the day, you don't know what you're talking about... there's a reason why actual mental health professionals won't give a diagnosis to some idiot they saw on TV a few times; it's irresponsible and meaningless because they don't know anything about the person other than what they're seeing in that instant. pretending that you have any qualifications to make that judgement over somebody you know, much less some idiot you saw in a youtube video, doesn't do anybody any favors.

There's a reason why random people aren't detectives. Correlation does not equal causation. He even brings up the Smiley Face gang 20:09, which is a classic example of a correlation/causation. Drawing a smiley face is one of the most common things people spray paint. The odds of finding a body near a smiley face is increased because drawing a smiley face is common. That doesn't mean there is a group of people who purposely draws a smiley face somewhere near the body with a different art styles/colors each time.

I knew a teenager who was too drunk and he tripped and fell in a puddle and drowned because he was too drunk. His friends saw him fall, went to help him up, and realized he had drowned, tried to give him CPR, but yeah. Drunk people tend to be prone to falling, and more likely to aspirate water, as their reflexes are delayed.

Honestly it seems like teenage delusion. Maybe younger than teenage. I remember being a kid, maybe 10 or so, and printing out pictures from the FBI most wanted list, putting them in a manilla folder, and convincing myself that I’d seen one of them and was going to “crack the case”. Difference being I was a kid, my resources were limited, and for the most part, I kind of knew I was playing cops & robbers. This guy has that same thing, but he seems to have actually forgotten that he’s just a dude. He also seems kind of manic. All over the shop, multiple balls in the air, overconfident, kind of chaotic.

He’s all over the place with what he’s saying he contradicts himself not even halfway through the video, and I’ve already caught several direct contradictions, and he’s making connections that aren’t there he’s wildly speculating, which is extremely irresponsible on ethical just he sounds like he’s having some kind of delusions almost you know like this is a mental illness/attention seeking thing for him, but just the way he is frantically rapidly speaking is giving me mania vibes pretty strong
I am SO GLAD social media wasn't around before I was medicated... Having a manic episode and posting everything online is going to be a terrible thing for him to cringe about in the future.
He seriously caused all of that hysteria and fed off of victim’s families grief to make a fricking travel app low is an understatement. People on tik tok need help for real
I'm a dispatcher, so I get dozens of calls per day from genuinely mentally ill people, and people like this gentleman in the video. They just repeat the same points over, in rapid succession and whenever they complain about police not doing anything, it's in regards to them. "They're not letting me in" and "they don't take ME seriously" and "they laughed at ME" and "they won't look at MY data." But never have details about the so-called crimes they know so much about (victim and suspect names), always speak in vague ways, say stuff that will prey on your fear and wrap it up with an obvious "safety tip" like lock your doors, don't go walking alone at night, don't get into cars with strangers. They also tend to look for conspiracies in the slightest thing, i.e., this guy saying the man that was walking and was unaccounted for for 6 minutes and not under surveillance after he'd gone walking at night...implying there's a cover up in the "videos" that should have captured a normal citizen walking wherever for the entire time. I am not able to diagnose anyone but I wouldn't be surprised if it came out this guy had been impaired in some way or had underlying issues. Or just plain greedy.
I think he was frightened by the initial incident. It struck deep. I think he would have been OK if he’d just been able to forget about it slowly. Unfortunately, he was titillated by the attention. He then saw that money could be made. This perfect storm allowed the fear to tighten its grip on his sanity.
I agree id argue that he probably was drunk when the first incident occured and didn't want people to criticise his Initial experience /memory of the events because of it. And then got swept up in the fame his 'investigation' gave him.
I disagree. That chances that the same car with different drivers on different occasions approached him like that is almost zero unless he lives in a town with 200 people. What you're describing is a combination of paranoid delusions and narcissism. I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, so I am familiar with paranoid delusions, and I have witnessed the more extreme version that people with schizophrenia have. This guy does not fit anywhere on this spectrum. People on the lesser end, like me, do not hallucinate, but we do form opinions based on evidence that is probably just a random coincidences or magical thinking. While people on the other end are having hallucinations about events that never happened or about secret messages coming from God or from the government etc. But the thing these ALL have in common, is that if you hear a person who is having one of these episodes, the things they are saying are never convincing or compelling except to people who are in agreement with any bigoted things that might be included in their rants. Gabbie Hannah, Britney Spears, Kanye West and Fousey are examples of this, though I mean no disrespect to them. This guy was just creating a clever publicity stunt. This was not mental illness.
a perfect analysis of the situation. I believe the same, dude probably felt very unsafe by the initial incident but then social media made things blow out of proportion. Now he’s just sticking to the bit. Prolly believes it himself at this point.

I would try to bring up the body shaming bits with him and he just ignored me. This is not surprising at all.
Honestly just the way he’s talking reminds me exactly of how people sound during manic episodes. The heavy breathing, the smiling, the long and slightly incoherent sentences, staying up all night, it’s textbook mania
For real, the whole time I'm like, this looks and sounds like mania! And the fact his parents called wellness checks on him? I doubt they would be worried for his safety from a cerealkeeler, I think they were worried about his mental health.

Absolutely! Personally I believe that somebody DID ask him if he wanted a ride that night, but I believe that whomever asked him wasn’t some hottie-type and probably creeped this guy out a little bit, and probably that first video had well intentions but once he saw the insane amount of public attention he got THAT was when his narcissism and “central character syndrome” addiction took hold!
I had a great uncle like this guy, it's a mental sickness & this dude needs help. The fact he has a platform to spread paranoia & fearmongering is terrible, he spreads it to other ill people & eventually someone's gonna get hurt by this dude or his followers. The American Vigilante Syndrome can get out of hand very quick.
Yep. Yet another reason to never let a stranger in your car. At this point anyone who would offer a ride or accept a ride from a stranger just can't be saved though.

Anytime someone invokes the “Smiley Face Killer” you need to be skeptical of. It’s highly disputed as a theory with little evidence. TikTok started feeding me this guy’s saga and it had the same red flags (ppl tragically do die where alcohol and bodies of water overlap. Unfortunately that is pretty common) I was not surprised when he started bringing it up
In my area we had a college student get drunk, go missing, walk for 7 miles from the bar he was at and end up in a river. It's unfortunately very common. Don't let your friends walk home drunk alone.

Picking up on the Mania aspect is very insightful. Suffering from mania myself, it does cause hyperfocus, pressured speech, delusional thinking or disorganized thought and can cause hallucinations. And u don't even realize how mess up your thinking is until the mania crashes.
As someone who gets manic attacks yeah, this guy is sounding hellaciously manic. The speech patterns are consistent. It's almost clipped and hard to find words for what you're trying to say. He's struggling to prove his point and excitable about it when he has it built to a point it makes sense in his head, and I'm sure to him all of this is true. Even if it's not. The worst part is I know this is more than one take on each clip of his, so he's had a chance to draft a cohesive "plot" to work through his brain on it. It just won't work because it's not cohesive.
Someone mentioned his parents got a weness check on him which happens often when not mentally stable or sick so he needs help. If he's having delusions idk wtf is going on but he's making me wonder what is going on with him.
@@ashleymarie2021 yeah….something seems very off with this guy. I don’t think he did all of this just to get funding for his app, which a lot of people seem to believe. I think he loves the attention he was getting, & started playing his law enforcement fantasy.
The first part with him rambling about kidnapping reminds me of myself as I'm schizophrenic, I get hooked on random stuff I think is either criminal or agencies etc. Not that I do it online and only while delusional. But be seems more like a gifter, however not ruling out he really believes what he say (delusional).
@@TeddyLovesAxl I don't think but I'm not sure. If he has this "vibe" or abnormal interest because he wants to scam, then it does make sense why he is so energetic and on it. He could also be delusional from some other source. The "I'm hired by the FBI" as a typical delusion thing.
I'm not schizophrenic myself, but I do struggle with a mental illness and have mentally ill family members, and this guy definitely comes across as if he's not 100% right in the head. He's almost hard to follow.
I was thinking maybe more of a manic episode from bipolar or something, not so much from schizophrenia. Hope you’re doing well and please keep up with your meds, I’ve had friends who have kept up with them and have done very well for themselves and friends who stopped taking them because they didn’t feel they needed the meds any more and they’ve really fallen to bad times. Wish you the best!
I'm glad at least someone in this video brought up that Ken could be potentially going through a manic episode if Ken isn't intentionally scamming for his app. People who go through mania or psychosis tend to make connections that aren't there, and they'll fully believe it as truth and obsess over it even when shown logic- They aren't trying to be malicious it's just very unfortunate as it's pretty much their brain is glitching and causing them to say and do things out of their control. Not saying that this is definitely happening with Ken, but it definitely could be a possibility if this isn't just some whole scheme to advertise his app.
As someone who struggles terribly with mania, this guy reminds me so much of myself in those times. Thankfully I’ve been able to recognize my patterns and I specifically don’t do things like this when I’m manic even when I crave it. I call my few trusted people and tell them “I know that it’s just in my head but I need to talk it out” and afterwards I just try to be in as calm an environment as possible and ride it out. I always feel like a fool once the smoke clears but my intentions are always good.
I will say, even though it’s disgusting to use real life deaths and people for your own gain, at least he didn’t name a suspect and potentially ruin their life like we’ve seen with the past few attempts at clout through true crime. Not at all to absolve him of what he did, but after the TikTok psychic I was very anxious when he started discussing with the other person on giving photos to identify
I hope he and his colleagues get made a example of in the courts. Because people need to know it's unacceptable to use cases like this to promote a company.
Back when i was 16 (in 2016) I had a habit of going for late night walks. One night at like ~230am when i was almost back to my girlfriend's apartment, a middle aged guy with a heavy Central European accent pulled over and called me over, asked me if i knew where Austin Texas was (like an hour north), when i told him how to get there he told me he was going to a party, then he asked me if i like to party and wanted to go party with him, then when i declined he started offering me MDMA if i went with him. I just told him I'm almost back to my girlfriend's apartment and i didn't want to go anywhere with him, and eventually he fucked off. Even as soon as it happened i realised it read like a Reddit creepypasta and I've only ever told a handful of people. Thank God that experience didn't inspire me to some grifter hero's complex.
Right? Most kidnappings happen from people you know. I am sorry you've had to experience this as well. Kidnapping is one of the most terrifying things to experience and you are never the same afterwards. If you ever want to talk I'm more than willing to listen ❤
@@succubliss379 I'm also sorry you've experienced that feeling, I'm also here if you need someone. Mine was 15 years ago so, I'm mostly just in the I'm literally a better person than them mentality nowadays.
This! I hate how people like this throw all sorts of “theories” and how so many people go into hysteria instead of actually learning the facts, what to watch for and how to identify situations. It drives me crazy to see how much it takes away from genuine education and awareness.
I can't tell you how many times people have offered me a ride when I've been walking home, I've never taken them up on it for safety, but it's just a thing people do sometimes.
I had to take a very long walk to work one day when it was cold and snowy, until a woman in a truck pulled up and asked if I needed a ride. At first I told her no, because stranger danger, but she convinced me to get in. Even though she ended up being super nice and explained to me that she was some sort of pediatric doctor, and safely dropped me off at my job, I definitely shouldn't have gotten in her car, even though I was freezing and had several miles to walk. 😅 That encounter very easily could've turned out bad.
True, some guy with a dog offered me a ride when I had a bunch of groceries and was walking home, I refused because I was a teen but there was also a time a truck driver offered to drive me and my cousins home when we were kids because a dog scared someone into injuring themselves, that one went well
I occasionally give people rides when it's pouring rain and I feel sorry for them. I suggest they take a picture of the car and send it someone they trust if they feel weird about it.
The first sign of bad mental health is the notion of being followed and then being so important that people are trying to take you or stop you from talking... HIS PARENTS CALLED A WELLNESS CHECK ON HIM
Is it just me or is it really self centered and narccisistic to think you are important enough to be targeted by huge unseen forces, whenever I hear this and gangstalking shit I just think to myself don’t these people realize we all have jobs?
He sniffles a lot. Super noticeable when you see one video after another. If not a manic episode, could certainly be another kind of episode that causes self-aggrandizement, hyper-fixation and staying up all night
Ok I love how his videos around 7 minutes in are like “This isn’t a coincidence that all these men are going missing and being found in the river” BUT in one of his earlier videos he literally said “Unfortunately there’s a long history of men going near a river, falling in and end up drowning.” Like it’s honestly laughable how inconsistent his story is
One of the craziest things is he believes people are so dumb. All you did was make a map and put pins on it. If that’s all the police were missing to “crack the case” then we seriously need to rethink police training 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
The extent!!! 🤯 If there’s people being picked up from a certain location, leaving a bar, then it’s easy for the cops. 😂 Funny how he himself hasn’t got any pic or video from his encounters!
If he really believed he was investigating some organized crime, why would he be showing his face, promote this app, and putting himself and his loved ones at risk? I don't think he's doing an investigation.
Love how he mapped where people went missing and were bodies were found, but didn’t note if the cases were solved or not or how many of the missing were found dead. Some bodies may be found with no one missing.
He actually didn’t mark where people went missing. He marked where people were offered a ride but didn’t go with the car and then separately where people drowned in the river. The two weren’t connected at all.
This gives me"i applied for a job as a crime analyst, but failed the mental capacity test, so I will find a way to do what I love" syndrome. Sad part by his jargon he probably would have been good at this. People Just don't think of the consequences of their actions.
As someone whose really big into the ARG and unfiction series, this is not that. There aren’t that many rules for unfiction, but they rarely, if ever, use real deaths of real people and contact those real grieving family. Stories that stray closer to reality usually do try to telegraph that they are in fact fake because this genre of online storytelling has been hit with a lot, especially in the early days, when people assumed that it was real. I know you mentioned it was a possibility, but I’d say it’s not, or if it is everyone is doing a really shit job.
I hate these kind of ppl trying to gain clout off of real events happening. People most likely do get kidnapped or snatched up walking alone at night but I'm not about speculate on it being a crime organization
As someone who is from the general area as one of the real victims as well as also being a nurse, like he was, is just sickening that anyone would even think of clout chasing and taking advantage of real victims here. Shameful.
Here’s an idea…don’t walk home drunk. Arrange a ride, call an Uber, or drink at home. This is so insensitive to the people who have suffered because of this issue. One of my dear friends lost her brother this way years ago, and a man going out on a crazy tangent clearly for clout is despicable
Off topic, but why is this dude so weird looking. Like half of his face is swollen and creepy, like one of his eyes looks enlarged compared to the other. Dudes a freak
I haven’t even gotten to the middle of this video yet and I just can’t stop thinking about how much this whole thing reminds me of Jussie Smollett’s staged “attack” just so he could have a bigger career (which backfired big time).
This dude going viral for telling me something my mom told me as soon as I started walking anywhere alone, around 8 years old and something any single woman knows. 😂
At first I thought it was a concerned man who went through a somewhat traumatic experience and let his fear and paranoia get the best of him. But the more it went on, the less credible he became.
I think Ken might be having serious mental issues. This literally reminds of the B-Plot of that movie “A Beautiful Mind”. Where the main character (who is mentally ill) is having these serious-hardcore hallucinations where he was recruited by the FBI to solve this whole conspiracy thing involving Russia. At some point during the movie he is CHASED down by a car and actively being shot at. Come to find out-none of it was real. It was both shocking and terrifying. If Ken thinks this is really happening. He should seek professional help.
I personally disagree as someone who has both experienced psychosis and others' psychoses, and I also have a degree in art therapy with a concentration on psychology and mental illness. Him showing off the random blue card with a hieroglyphic and talking about how he was working with investigative teams while obviously untrue may seem indicative of psychosis, but psychosis is an extreme distortion of perception and thought process that doesn't present here with typical behavioral symptoms. To me, it seems quite clear that he was building up a persona, story, and following in a way that he thought was subtle and believable while also still making him look like a hero tv detective. He likely does have mental health issues, it just seems to be far more likely in his case that his grandiose behavior is rooted in narcissistic tendencies. Professional help probably is needed. There's a mix of truth and lie in what he says, people should not get into unknown cars because it is an easy way to get abducted, but he uses that as justification to lie about his involvement in investigative operations and boost a following, both for himself and his investments. He tried to "back off" once people began questioning him so he wouldn't have to admit to lying. Obviously I don't know the guy and this is all opinion, but it is a somewhat educated one. It's also worth noting that A Beautiful Mind, while a great movie, was a highly dramatized story that didn't quite accurately portray John Nash's schizophrenia.
It could definitely be, but I wouldn't say it's psychosis. Bipolar mania can cause episodes like this, my mom has it, I'm still at risk of it popping up in myself, but when my mother is manic she literally believes she has powers and that the universe is talking to her and sending her signs. It looks a lot like people who are into crystals, but you can tell she 100% believes everything she is saying no matter how crazy it sounds. It's probably something similar.
I remember seeing a couple of his videos (I think the first one I saw was the one where the detective came to his house) and I was SO CONFUSED. Thank you for explaining all this. It did seem far fetched when I saw his video but I didn’t get invested in this particular story. Crazy that it went this far

I went to a concert in LA with my husband and sister. Afterwards there were DOZENS of cars that were saying they would give people a ride home. Non uber, non Lyft, just drivers straight up offering rides. You know what we did? We said no to the offer then IGNORED THEM AND THEY MOVED ON
Yeah I was revisiting this today and was going to say the same thing. It almost makes me question how long this guy has lived in Chicago. Clearly he does, but people of all kinds offering rides in the densely populated areas, particularly after events, has ALWAYS happened, and of course is not limited to Chicago. I’d guess this guy has never once been to an event at the United Center or Wrigley, because you get absolutely hounded by drivers like this offering rides. Hilariously, he also describes one of the most common vehicles and people you will see in major cities - silver Toyota sedan, then later a black suv driven by a man with dark hair and facial hair. A fantastic example of main character syndrome…
You mean you didn't inflate that story to grift about it on TikTok? You could have had a million followers too, exposing a secret organization that kidnaps people after concerts!
If the FBI hires anyone, it should be "the Internet". I've never seen investigation and discovery so thorough than when a pack of UA-camrs, Instagrmmers, Redditors, ect
The Boston Bomber situation on Reddit was really bad.. I would have to disagree with you on this one. I do think they should take some people's opinions into consideration more than they do, but investigators and detectives are the professionals for a reason. The happiest medium would be using these theories as a resource or a jumping-off point, but there are some seriously delusional people out there. They have to be able to sort through it all.
@@CHiCguitar Even pre-internet, the 1996 Atlanta bombing at the Olympics, a man's life was completely destroyed because armchair detectives (and the media) jumped all over him as the bomber and were certain it was him.

Lol.
I’m so glad that former army guy called him out, because he’s 100% correct. As frustrating as it is for us in the public to watch, there’s a reason law enforcement investigations like this move silently: the less information that’s public, the more you have to identify and nail the killer with when you find them.
And also so the killer cant hide and change stuff that could lead to Them yk
There are so many cases where they found the criminal because the person mentioned something that the police never released publicly, like that there were 12 stab wounds or the murder weapon was determined to be a barbecue fork. Sometimes that there were stab wounds *at all* they don't release publicly and the suspect will be like "I don't know who stabbed her!" even though the police didn't say anyone was stabbed. That's why they keep so much of the investigation quiet, because it's easier to point to a suspect when they mention something that wasn't in any of the reports.
On that note of course no news station would run with the story, as there is no evidence. That would ruin their credibility ( what's left of it) lol.

So, were fencing ever put there to make sure no one else fell and drowned?

I lived in Louisiana near the Mississippi and there was nothing to stop anyone from walking up a levee and falling in... and climbing up on levees at night while inebriated is super common as immortalized in the song American Pie. Drunk people really enjoy being around large bodies of water.

I was skeptical about Ken anyway, but that fake business card was the icing on the cake. Not to mention why would *private* investigators want to recruit a blabber mouth who could compromise any sort of case by revealing too much? And on TikTok of all places

A lot if not majority of taggers aren’t spraying smiley faces. They tag their street name or a mural of some sort.

@@tonyzone8999 You seem to misunderstand.
I’m horrible at articulating my thoughts but here it goes:
What makes a smiley face common, is that yes putting up a street #, gang sign or mural is common, but those are specific and will vary, where a smiley face is universal.
So, it’s not that everyone does it. It’s just what’s going to be the most reoccurring thing, from kids, to gang members, street artists to a couple of drunks that just happen to have a bottle of spray paint.
@@tonyzone8999 that's not true at all. I see flowers, peace signs and random zig zags everywhere. As well as smiley faces.

As someone with Bipolar 1, I was actually thinking this exact same thing for the entire video.
The big red flag for me is when Ken said "Thanks to my parents for calling the police and checking to see if I was ok"
This means that he very likely has a history of either paranoid delusions or manic episodes (both hare very strongly related)
A private detective did not come to his house. It was more than likely a wellness check to make sure he was not going to do something insane.
Study his eyes in each video. They progressively get more and more tired, which means he is likely not sleeping, which is something that happens during manic episodes.
This all reminds me of when I was not on medication and had paranoid delusions like this.

The part where 'the cops recognized me! The cops wouldn't let me into the meeting!' was where he lost me.
Yup look at his eyes when he’s walking. They are going crazy. He’s not right in the head this is like the start of schizophrenia
Seems like he was watching videos/reading about the Smiley Face Killers Theory. Edit: I’m at 20 minutes in and he actually said the Smiley Face Gang.

TikTok started feeding me this guy’s saga and it had the same red flags (ppl tragically do die where alcohol and bodies of water overlap. Unfortunately that is pretty common)
I was not surprised when he started bringing it up
I do Graffiti. The idea that the same artist did all the smilies is... like, fucking Rediculous
@Anatta-Phi and most of the smiles don't look like the others, if it was somekind of organization tag it be more universal
It’s perfect to bring up bc it’s a theory. He can’t prove it, and no one can prove him wrong

Wait...he's gone from being "offered free rides" to "almost taken twice". WTF?
Someone mentioned his parents got a weness check on him which happens often when not mentally stable or sick so he needs help. If he's having delusions idk wtf is going on but he's making me wonder what is going on with him.
@@ashleymarie2021 yeah….something seems very off with this guy. I don’t think he did all of this just to get funding for his app, which a lot of people seem to believe. I think he loves the attention he was getting, & started playing his law enforcement fantasy.
Love that military detective 🕵🏽 ❤
The way he added known suicide victims to his map and the friends and family asked him to take it down and he blocked them
Diabolical!!!!
That's horrible.
You think he might be legit delusional as in schizophrenia?
Yeah he looks mentally ill to me.
This makes a lot of sense to me. And his delusions of grandeur
This. I don't want to make assumptions, but the hyper fixation and the rambling on and on makes me think so.
This is where my mind went immediately. This is quite reminiscent of a manic episode. He is putting all his time and effort in this, he’s obsessed.
Flashing a blue card that has the Eye of Horus saying he's part of a law enforcement 'team"?
Sure. Seems legit.
Who else is on the team? Yu-Gi-Oh?
I will say, even though it’s disgusting to use real life deaths and people for your own gain, at least he didn’t name a suspect and potentially ruin their life like we’ve seen with the past few attempts at clout through true crime. Not at all to absolve him of what he did, but after the TikTok psychic I was very anxious when he started discussing with the other person on giving photos to identify
That's a good point. He's not a good person but he could've been worse for being a true crime clout chaser.

Nope. I live here. It's the cartels. CPD are being paid off to look the other way.
Took one look into this guy's eyes during the first clip ...and knew I couldn't trust a word. Crazy eyes.
As someone who was kidnapped, those types of kidnappings are less than 8% of all instances
I'm sorry to hear that you've actually been in that boat before. I hope you are happy and healthy and doing well.
That’s a pretty shockingly high number that isn’t anything to dismiss thats nearly 10% of all cases bro
I can't tell you how many times people have offered me a ride when I've been walking home, I've never taken them up on it for safety, but it's just a thing people do sometimes.
Me too but I only take rides if it's super duper cold or somebody I think I could fight... Which it's getting scary out here so I just take the bus
@@christopherhammond5142 I'd probably trust you
Thirty bucks?…Thats sad…And to scam someone who’s son is missing…That’s disgusting
The first sign of bad mental health is the notion of being followed and then being so important that people are trying to take you or stop you from talking... HIS PARENTS CALLED A WELLNESS CHECK ON HIM

this is so accurate its funny 😂
Ok I love how his videos around 7 minutes in are like “This isn’t a coincidence that all these men are going missing and being found in the river”
BUT in one of his earlier videos he literally said “Unfortunately there’s a long history of men going near a river, falling in and end up drowning.”
Like it’s honestly laughable how inconsistent his story is
One of the craziest things is he believes people are so dumb.
And why not contact the FBI?
Love how he mapped where people went missing and were bodies were found, but didn’t note if the cases were solved or not or how many of the missing were found dead. Some bodies may be found with no one missing.
He actually didn’t mark where people went missing. He marked where people were offered a ride but didn’t go with the car and then separately where people drowned in the river. The two weren’t connected at all.
I love how he makes a map clearly showing their bodies being found all along a river… hmmm I wonder if the river had anything to do with their death…
Him knowing everything about it, inserting himself into the victim role/investigation….. he’s lucky he’s not the number one suspect.
Not lying. I live here. Look up the guys who keep ending up dead in Lake Michigan. It's all true. It's the cartels.

He should seek professional help.
he’s probably a drug addict and dealing with delusions :/
“Don’t take rides from strangers” but meeting strangers from an online source is totally okay
Storytime: When my husband was younger, a car pulled up to him while he was drunk and a woman asked him if he wanted a bite of her McDonald's. He responded with "I'd rather savor the flavor." and stumbled off. Seriously, never accept fast food from strangers.

The internet is a double edged sword it can be a REAL help in some cases but it can also lead to nowhere
