the only video that showed the back, which was super helpful to learn how this is working. Amazing that other videos don't do this simple thing to explain.
@@eldenboy11 do u know if this type uv riveT should/can(?) be used to replace the small ones that need to be removed from automobile door to get at the innards- like window regulator- of the door? thanks anybody and Jason yeah it's inchresting how the •how or why• is often ignored in explanations. This was decent video√
Would you need to tap the holes before or after you drill them prior to riveting the pieces of metal together? I'm planning a computer case mod. This seems to be the easiest way to do it since the skeleton of the computer case is already riveted anyway.
Sorry I just got how the darn things work thanks to your backside of metal look. Genius! Shows how critical matching drill bit to rivet size is though.
Is it possible to stop the riveter from cutting off my pop rivets ? since the bottom is barely thicker than at the beginning so the rivet just comes off after a slight tug on the material with bare hands
The hole should be drilled square, if possible separate the pieces and clear off any swarf that could stop the two surfaces mating. just as important as the correct diameter is the correct length, the rivets in this video are too long, which is not as bad as to short. Too short and they may pull through, too long and they might not pull up tight enough. Look up online the rivet diameter and thickness to be riveted and it will tell you how long a rivet you need. If the two faces to be riveted are not held together the rivet may swell between the two. If you do not want scratches on your metal beware that the rivet gun may jump as it snaps the rivet.
A screw or nail wouldn't work to fix two plates together like this. You could use a bolt, but only if you have access to both sides, a rivet can be used with access to one side only. A bolt would generally provide a stronger and longer lasting fixing. A bolt can be dissembled more easily and is reusable, but this can be a disadvantage for security.
Don’t use aluminum rivets when you’re doing two pieces of still use the steel rivets And also use rivets short enough so there’s not a long stem on the back Of your work
If you select the right size rivet for the materials you are fastening (not too long) it will be minimal, the backside will always protrude more than the front though.
why is this channel called Low Range Offroad, is it because Offroad vehicles use a lot of pop rivet? (such as the windshield on the 100 series and 200 series Land Cruiser/LX)?
First he says it's for when access to the back side is not possible. Then he says to secure the 2 pieces tightly together, and clamps the work in a vise. Makes no sense.
Clear, complete, brief. Well done.
Thanks for the how to video, especially the back view on how they work!

An absolutely *riveting* tutorial! thanks for making it :D

Great video nice that you showed to the blind side of the rivet. Tkanks
Video was perfect. Thank you for your work!
Really helpful vid taught me how to do pop rivets on the fly
This video helped me in my dt class today, thank you!
Dude the video just got me out of a serious pinch at work. Thanks
Quite literally to. Your hand gets between the handles while it clicks hurts like a MF.
Thanks for the video; though its always good practice to compress the gun when installing a new adapter, otherwise its very difficult.
Just want you want from an instructional video. Clear, easy to see what is going on. Thanks
Ryobi One Drill, one of the best bang for your buck electric drills out there!
Thank you, your explanation was just perfect.

So are the protruding bits on the back crushed down also, or ground off?
Can I use an air rivet gun on plastic nylon rivets or is it too powerful?
Excellent presentation. Thanks.
Thanks for the video 👍
Should the hole slightly larger than the size of rivet for smooth insertion?
thank you for the tutorial
Thank you!
NICE EXPLANATION.
Thank you so much. It really helped me
Excellent video. Thanks
Awesome little instruction vidro. Did the trick for me.
Dude it’s so much easier if you squeeze the handles together to switch attachments. You don’t have to worry about spring tension or cross threading
If you close the handles, you won’t push against the spring tension when installing the adapter.
Great video! Thank you.
That helped a lot, thank you
Very useful, thanks!
Thank you! 😀
Can you do a video of Riv-Nut ? Thanks !
The frog says....
.
....Rivet.
rivet
Thank you so much
Thank you
You can squeeze it to load a new adapter
cheers buddy :)) new job wednesday, should really help :D
If you can access the far side and the material is soft or flexible put a washer over the rivet.
Thank you.
Change the mandrel adapters with the rivet gun compressed !!
Thanks sir

I think your problem is the wrong length riviet
What if installing rivets in a scenario where jagged ends are not acceptable on either side?
Good job :D
ouu yeaa :p
Felt like I was watching a how to video by a member of the blue Man group.
Tank you

First thing I thought too, those rivets are WAY to long for the material.
Thanks.
riveting
thanks
Thanks for this video. Is there any weakness to using a rivet compared to using a screw or a nail?
Keep up the good videos!

Why the rubber gloves?
뒤에가 오목히 들어가야함에 많이 티어나왔어요>
Why are the inside of the rivets sticking out so much? Aren't they supposed to be flattened against the material just like the other side?
If you select the right size rivet for the materials you are fastening (not too long) it will be minimal, the backside will always protrude more than the front though.
Wow too much beautiful
The rivet is too long. Seriously?
they are called pop rivets because they are popular like pop music

Could be track vehicles like mine.
I had to cut a hole for my turbo+exhaust downpipe and now need to rivet the fiberglass together.
Smaller gloves.
so what is the easiest way to remove the rivets without a drill? I am taking rivets off a car door
@@No_bread-and-circuses punch of a drill? Heat? Freeze punch? Hahah
This is just... riveting.

Be sure to wear surgical gloves during this procedure.... as you never know when a pop rivet might be infected with the ebola virus.....lol.

Ok, why is he wearing rubber gloves?
You are so right! It didn’t dawn on me until you said something!. The rivets had the Covid I guess🤣
bad video, you used too long a rivet, didn't debur the hole

It looks like you never done this before🤔
never, ever wearing glove near a rotating tool, period.

Who use RIVETS in Brazil 2019???

Wtf is 3-16. It's 2018, use metric unit
3/16" is a US measurement and has been since 1959. Maybe you should try the US measurement?
Andrew Hamilton Maybe US should try metric unit system.
Sourabh Roddey fuck the metric system, I hate that shit
You mean the US should try something simpler and more convenient?
Americans have to much pride..
