I so love Pacific Blue. I made my own with Essie's Butler Please and Private Weekend. It turned out so awesome!!! There is just something about that color that is sooo beautiful. When I wore my combination I got many compliments.

The matte glitter is a must! The blue looks like some previous polishes OPI has released before, and the red... After seeing so many reds in the Xmas collection I think I prefer to try other colors. Great video!

My favourite was I Sea You Wear OPI. So gorgeous! On Pinks And Needles would be amazing layered over black. Such a gorgeous polish for summer.

What nail polishes should I start with? Brands, core colors, etc?
I loved on pinks and needles. However I read on blog posts that the color on some of the glitters was running and they appeared to have a white spot.

Brenda Esquivel Last years neon colors came from the Brights collection, so I think this is probably going to be it for this year!
Put a white base on your nail first. It will make the brights pop.

It's Pacific Blue from Sally Hansen but you can't buy that color anymore. Sally Hansen changed the color but did not change the name. So don't go to the store and buy Pacific Blue expecting to get what you see on her nail. The new formula is such a bummer. You can still grab one of the Original Formulas off of Ebay though.

As Erica said it's Pacific Blue BUT,,,
Sally Hansen went and changed it last summer and sadly did not change the name. The only place to find the original now is to grab one off of Ebay, make sure it's states that it's the Original Formula.
Hope that helps. Didn't want you to go buy it from the store and be disappoined becuase it's just not the wonderful, perfect blue it used to be.

Approximately how long do you wait in between coats?
Robin K Until the polish is dry to the touch. That time varies from brand to brand, but it's about 5-10 minutes

Why do you let your first coat paint before the next? I'm not like questioning thinking you're weird. I just never have heard of that. I'm wondering if it helps your polish stay on longer (no matter what I do polish hates my nails and chips quickly) or if it makes easier to paint. Thanks!

I recently bought a blue that didn't say that it was scented, but I swear it smells like a blue raspberry sucker! Is that the kind of smell you are talking about? Or is it more of a negative odor? Now I want to smell all my blue polishes.LOL
mestargazr Nope, it's definitely negative! China Glaze Frost Bite has that smell too!
I just smelled my nails (wearing blue polish) and it smells that way too! Weird....

+TheLovered30 I just let them air dry. Letting them dry fully before adding another coat prevents bubbles
