I know it probably took forever, and was a big pain in the butt, but its always sooo helpful to see dupes of collections, especially when you're trying to save money! Please do more dupes or add them to your reviews, they are so helpful! Can't stress it enough how helpful the dupes are! Love, love, love it!

Hi Phoebe, I`m so happy that you showed us this collection. The two purples are my favorites and I also like Lanai-ing Around, I know that everyone thinks that it`s grandma style, I guess I`m a 31 year old grandma because I love it! I really enjoyed the dupe portion of this. I love live applications, but the dupes really show you that you might have something similar already and save yourself a bit of money :)

You are by far my favorite...I love the fact that you consistently show everything anyone would want/need to see with polishes they may potentially want to buy. You have saved me from some disappointment (the 50 shades collection) and also got me into some amazing polish I would have never sought out (Finger Paints Masquerade Affair). So thank you for all the hard work you put in to making all of your fantastic videos!

This is such a gorgeous collection! Your swatches make it so easy to pick out the polishes I need. Not want, NEED! Haha. And my internet decided to get all wonky and completely stop working to where nothing would load on any app I clicked on in the middle of the video. So I get all determined at 12:30am to get it working again and my fiance said, "it will work itself out just give it time." And I said very sternly, "no! Phoebe Moon has her opi Hawaii collection swatch video up. I'm not sleeping until I finish it!" He just laughed. Lol. What can I say? I love nail polish and I love your videos :)

First I've heard of this collection and excited to see it! I'll definitely pick up Just Lanai-ing Around. Another favorite was Aloha to OPI. The purple gray may have to come home with me too. lol Thanks for giving us dupes! Pretty collection.

I think Grandma's Couch would be the best nail polish name lol! I almost want the pineapple polish just because it's so weird & different. These swatches are crazy helpful. Thx for being such a ray of sunshine! :o)

oh, thank you SO much for this detailed swatch, review and dupes on this collection!! this helps so much, i can't even say! i'd love to just go out and buy the whole thing, but i can't afford to! your video makes it easier for me to pick out what i must have and what i can pass on :-) after watching this, i think i might actually need more than i'd planned on LOL the mint green and the nude are calling to me now.. and that coral red! but the purples and the shimmery green i knew i needed for sure!

I'm very underwhelmed by this collection, I guess because it does seem like it has been done before! I'm definitely with you on all your top picks, especially the blue & green. The purples are gorgeous as well, but I'm always drawn to those, but I definitely don't need them!!

Wow Phoebe, this must be your best review! You must have put in so much work. Thank you, and thank you for sharing. I don't know about this collection. The colors don't blow me away. My favourite is off course the purple Left my bikini... and I have 4 of the dupes 😂😂😂 And one final thought. A lot of YT nail enthousiasts give Essie a 'hard' time because the formula can be a hit or a miss. Now OPI has had 2 collections back to back with formulas that aren't great. And i haven't heard anyone talk about OPI reputation. Do you know what I mean? The bad formula seems te be a part of Essie's reputation. Maybe OPI is too big, but I still feel they need to step up the game because the polishes are expensive (especially over here) looking forward to your new video XO Imke 🌺

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't hate Pineapples Have Peelings too! Lol (I don't ever like saying I hate a polish because it could be someone's favorite and I don't want to sound rude) It might not be the prettiest polish up front bit it's definitely extremely unique and I love that about it.
Also your version of "I see the light" is just too stunning. I loved the song to begin with but ugh it's just so beautiful in your arrangement.
Also I really like that you showed possible dupes!
I agree- hate is such a strong word, i only "hate" a polish if the formula is just absolutely wretched... one person's trash is another's treasure- so i think it's great that they included. For crying out loud- I was saying in the video that they included a number of very dupable polishes in the collection- you can't say that about Pineapples have peelings :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the music and the dupes! :) xoxo

Coming back to watch the comparison portion of this video; watched the swatches night before last:). I'm not impressed with this collection at all. I saw them live and in person at Sally's and I was just like "meh." After this, however, I may have to go back for the shimmery green, the shimmery blue and that God-awful ugly yellow shimmer with rainbow glitter. It just has to be in my possession:). They'll probably start limiting production so that people can kick themselves for believing all the negative hype about it and thereby make it absolutely desirable to all the haters:)

Yay thank you for that video. First I love the close bottle shots you have added. Very nice to see the bottles up close. I loved the additional dupes part. One suggestion it might be nice if you do that I'm the future to maybe split the screen so the first polish is on one side and the possible duplicates are in the other side? Idk if that makes sense... like compare the pic of the original polish with the pic of the dup polish instead of just the original polish at the beginning. Idk just nit picking really because I thought it was great. You're always adding and bettering and it makes me happy. I liked go with the lava flow and making waves the best I think out of this collection. I feel like this year spring collections aren't as good as last year... I was just starting to get into polish collecting last year though... Well maybe the year before but more serious last year. Anyway... thanks for the video :-) ps you're beautiful

Just to put it out there (not to argue in the least), Julep Tatum appears to be very similar to OPI My Gheko Does Tricks. So that's one I didn't buy from the collection. GREAT VIDEO!! :)
The blue and green shimmers are beautiful. I actually like that pineapple one...lol. Guess I have odd taste.
Great video and glad to see the latter part with dupes. Love your suggestion of using the green and blue polishes as toppers. Also - your eyeshadow looks amazing!! What are those colors?

so funny, i found this video looking for the pineapple polish, I LOVE it :o), they probably should have made the yellow lighter to appeal to more people...........i will have to find it somewhere
Nice video! Where did you find these polishes? I'm dying to get my hands on a few of them but they're not "supposed to" come out until February! Oh and I almost screamed when I heard your cover of I Wanna Be Loved By You come on (Some Like it Hot is one of my favorite movies)
i asked my girls at Sally's to call me when they got them in- that's where I found em. They only got two of each polish so I had to make sure and jump on it asap. That's such a great movie- i'm glad you like the music :)

The green and the blue are probably the only 2 I will automatically buy. The 2 creme purples will be wishlisted for later. I think OPI isn't trying at this point. The Christmas collection was a snooze-fest. I only purchased 3 I think from that collection.

Thanks for sharing! I think I'm the only one that is kind of "meh" about this collection. I just don't see any that I am anxious to pick up. At least my wallet is happy! I thought Go With the Lava Flow looked more red but in your picture it looked kind of pink (to me anyway) and I thought it looked a lot like OPI Bright Lights Big Color
just cuz someone else likes it, doesn't mean you have to, right? it's all about finding the ones that push your buttons :)

i love how all your swatch pictures are taken with the same exact light! i'm sure you use a light box? i haven't looked to see if you've made a tutorial on how you photograph your swatches... i made my own light box but it's too clunky and too big and was searching Amazon to see what was out there... i want to work on taking better swatch photos, even if it's with just my iPhone 6, but it's that darn lighting that's a huge pain in my you-know-what! LOL i need to start whittling down my collection! it's out of control & i've only worn a shameful few of them. >.< xoxo
prettydaysies i tried making my own and didn't care for it so i ordered one from amazon, it's been a while though so i can't remember what it was called, but i didn't spend a ton on it, and yes, i have two little lights set up on both sides of the box, they might have come with the lightbox, that sounds right

I heard a few gals saying they found it at their Sally Beauty Supply, so I went to mine and asked my girls there to give me a call when it came in.
I kinda like Pineapples Have Peelings Too. I haven't seen it in person and I don't know if I like it enough to buy, but I don't hate it ^^; I wonder if it's the base color or it being a sheer metallic base that is turning people off? If it was a cooler gold rather than a yellow-y gold, I think I'd jump right on it. I still think it's kinda neat. I can usually be indifferent about a polish, but I don't normally hate a polish or think it's butt ugly. Rare exceptions were: Essie - Belugaria, CG Crinkled Chrome collection, and CG - There's Snow One Like You. Many liked those....to each his/her own :)
well, I wouldn't buy it full price, if I weren't reviewing it. i think ppl are getting turned off by it because of the frosty gold base combined with the carnival-esque variety of glitters is just a bit kookie. I don't hate it, that's for sure, but it doesn't make me gaga :) i'm glad I picked it up though- but i might wait for it to be on clearance. It takes A LOT for me to hate a polish- mostly it's horrible formula, that's what does it to me

the eyeshadow is freeze from the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette and the gold from the Wet n' Wild Walking the Red Carpet palette, with chopper from the Naked palette all over the lid first. You're so welcome for the dupes, i'm glad it helped!

Another Nicole by OPI dupe for This Color's Making Waves might be Candid Cameron.
in the same vein for sure- but candid cameron is really punchy in color, this one's way more subdued in comparison
May I ask where you purchased this collection?
I put "that's hularious" next to gargantuan green grape when I was at Sally's vac they looked exactly the same. That's the only reason I didn't get it.... Lol I did pick up 4 of this collection tho. I got aloha from opi, is Mai tai crooked, lost my bikini in molokini Nd just lanai ing around. Might get more but I think I'm pretty happy with my picks so far lol. I had a 15% off coupon for Sally's as well so it wasn't too bad a price
oh really? the ggg i have is the green one- so they aren't at all similar in my collection, but maybe you have the blue version? Hula-rious seemed rather green-toned compared to other mints in my collection, but I'll have to look into it. You got some good ones though!
I actually have the green one I've never seen the blue one. Maybe it swatches different? I have never used my ggg lol.
oh, well this is without actually dragging it out and swatching, but my ggg dries matte and seems much more green- now i'm gonna have to go figure this out ;)

I love grey purple too!!! I was wondering how similar is Hello Hawaii Ya to OPI I'm Feeling Sashy and OPI Parlez-Vous OPI?
unfortunately I don't have either of those two so I can't directly compare for you- but looking at pictures online of the two you mentioned, it looks like Hello Hawaii Ya is quite a bit more grey-toned than than Sashy and Parlez-vous, which appear to be slightly-gray-toned plums. They seem to be much more alike each other than Hello Hawaii Ya :) Hope that helps! :) xoxo

well it really depends on how much you like light pink polish. If it's one of your favorite shades to wear, then I'd say yes, but if you rarely turn to pink then I'd say pass :) Love from California xoxo

hmm i don't have apple to compare in person, but from pictures online i see that apple is definitely more shimmering than Gecko, and may have a bit more blue in it than Gecko :)

People are gonna kill me for this ... opi may be great but I just find their colors to be sooooo unoriginal! The only opi really that most people love is linkin park after dark. And even then it's just a dark burgundy. BUT Ive NEVER gone CRAZY FOR An opi shade.... ( I know what a sin hehe)
