I really like the simplicity of your work , as someone who worked in London for four years, i got to see how you guys are doing things , when i say , "you guys", i mean westerners :) . I'm from Romania ,that's why i'm saying this, we have a bit of a different thing going on , as in small prices , a lack of proper timber and time clients like to wait . That being said , i'm attempting in opening a new shop right now ,back home in Bucharest, in witch i want to make things ,the western way. :)) I've learned a ton of things being in London , In Romania the pride of being a carpenter (we call carpenter anyone that works with wood) has been lost, and i got mine back by experiencing what is like in UK. I probably would've loved it more if i would've worked in America, since i've grew up with american culture , i speak english in an american way and i'm sure i would've loved the weather , witch i can't say the same about UK . But without telling everyone my life story :) , i love the way you make things , i've done a ton of awesome work myself, so from a carpenter to another , respect brother ! Shout out from Romania and much love.

I really like your choices here, you were right about the recessed pieces making the silhouette better, it was like night and day as soon as you changed the drawing. You can tell how long you've been developing your style and your design skills.

That way when needed we can pop in and help each other out. Take a break to talk through a next step, etc... Plus it's more fun when you're talking about a 60 hour build :)

Hi Henrik...I don't have any plans at the moment. But I am working on making them. More video plans than traditional written plans though. Not sure if this desk will be included .

Factoring money, I think you get the best bang for your buck with the Kreg ACS system, which isn't too different price wise for the festool track and saw. I'd take that if given the choice of just one

I designed and made some thinks in the last months on my own. But this desk ist so awsome that i had to rebuild it. Now it is nearly finished so i thought this ist the right time to say thank you! Greetings from Germany Btw. I discovered that Black walnut is a great wood for the handplane. I treated the legs with it befor glueup and there is no need for sanding afterwards. Much faster, alot more fun and a smoother finish then 240grid. So, thanks again!
I don't have a standard, I'll just kind of use anything if it's already laying around...but in an ideal world I'll probably use a pieces about 1/8" too wide in total.
Not less stable. In theory they could make it more stable (if they give it a wider stance)... they would, probably, decrease the amount of weight you could set on top. So you might not do this for a workbench or something. But for a desk, or a dining table... no problem if don’t correctly.
I would price it by simply doing a cost of materials, plus your labor rate. You just have to decide on a labor rate and be realistic about the amount of time it takes to produce.

Hey Travis...sort of. It' all built in real scale, so you can go in with the tape measure tool or protractor tool to extract all that info...but it doesn't just list it. There also isn't really any instruction. So it wouldn't walk you through anything. Just a way to get more info about the piece I suppose.
@@Foureyes.Furniture the second A, was the only one close. A like another, shva I really can't think of anything for, gan like gun, dha is like done, but with a softer d sound - where done has the tip of the tongue touching the palate, dha has it brushed against the upper incisors.
unsolicited opinion - nothing to take away from your skill and vids but I kinda miss your story telling almost meditative feel of "modern bench" vid, where this one felt more "instructive" any who just my 2cents, still impressed with how natural you sound (i have a sense of how hard that is), editing and love how you show just the right details without too much for those that know where you are going.

If you don't have clamps long enough, just hook two clamps together.
That would work...but I find the strap clamps to be easier...and they apply plenty of pressure.
