  • Building a Modern End Table // Side Table // Plans Available
In this video, I show you how I built TWO Modern End Tables (the Sophia Collection) out of quarter-sawn white oak, white oak veneer plywood and walnut. These will be used as end tables (or side tables, depending on your preferred nomenclature) in our house, but they would also make great bedside tables. I love the push-to-open drawers which eliminate the need for drawer pulls and add to the sleek and minimalist modern look. The application of Rubio Monocoat really made the grain on the white oak come to life and I look forward to seeing these every day for many years to come. **See link below for downloadable plans to build your own!

Just because you have a million gadgets doesn’t make you a woodworker. I have plenty of friends with thousands and thousands in tools and fancy gizmos and can’t build worth a crap. If it helps you and you can justify it, buy it!

Of course they are. The treatment they go through makes them always "pinkier". So yes, you absolutely have to adjust colours. The choice of a greenish ue was the right one. @@KeithJohnsonCustomWoodworking this kind of of really simple but practical design I can see it being easy to add veneer or a bit of angled trim around the doors etc. 👍🏼

Luke Martin 😂 Ya never know who might be nosing around and snag my parts. Although, maybe I should be more concerned about them moving my labels around and really confusing me. 🤔

Tienes tantas herramientas, tanto equipo específico para hacer cada pieza de madera que le quitas la parte artesanal.
Eso no quita, que sea un trabajo muy bien hecho y de calidad. Enhorabuena!!!

I always liked your Instagram clips but it's great to see a UA-cam post. You're good at what you do and your commentary is amusing. If I didn't know better, I heard a 'Thirston Howell' kind of a comment.
Great build, even better jig iteration!
