Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
The desk is fantastic, but I'm even more impressed with Craig's acting skills. The facial expression and body language when delivering ice cream is perfect. The receptionist ending was terrific too.
Honestly? This desk is simply amazing! As a desk driver for over 30 years, this is a work of art that is nicer than any desk I have ever sat at. It would be a privilege.
I have to agree with you as far as the "Nicest Piece Yet" title. Don't get me wrong, all of your stuff is so beautiful, But this is something else. I love watching and learning so Thank You. Behind every good maker is a "Craig". Thanks to Craig as well.
Nice looking desk. Glues top and bottom on cross grain, wood movement nothing to worry about, then worries about wood movement when screwing drawer cubes into the desk.
The desk is stunning! You definitely captured that mid-century vibe!! You should turn the desk so it faces the outdoors, maybe on an angle off to one side. That's an amazing location with that view!
Very nice. Lots of opinions out there. Here’s mine…You may be right thinking the wood movement of the boxes will be minimal. Still cross grain solid wood panels with no room for movement in the connection method is a recipe for long term problems. Bravo for allowing for seasonal movement when attaching the boxes. Good luck long term. Hope I’m wrong.
Jason, What beautiful desk and it is truly a work of art. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you and keep up the good work. John in Missouri Valley Iowa.
I don’t cared about what my neighbor said about you but you are funny and good with you ideas and woodwork thank you for you for making those videos I am a woodworking person two good job all ways 👍✌️
Brilliant, beautiful desk. Great work - I learn things about design every time. Thanks for that. Craig - you deserve a medal. Or perhaps some nice Rabbit Hole bourbon (my current fave)?
Absolutely beautiful! Now, an idea would be to make the case of a modern desktop computer (not a laptop) in wood in the shape of a PDP-11 (from the 70s) to put on top of it and make it look even more "mid-century". Also, I have a question: why making 6 drawer handles when you only needed 4?
Absolutely Georgius. I love the look of this desk and I am seriously considering building one for myself. A true work of art. I don't know what the final price was but it was well worth it in my opinion.
Hahaahahahaha, I had no idea Craig was in transition. Good for you Craig, coming out of the wood closet! 😘😂 I truly love how you both play your roles so well and dry. It's nice to see Craig taking on more of a role in the videos. You both truly work incredibly well together. How did you meet and start doing the videos together? Jason, The projects you do on video are beautifully crafted. Very precise. I find the most beautiful woodwork, like this desk, are simplistically intricate, which is the biggest part of their beauty. If I was working with wood like you do, this would be what I would be doing as well. Putting the woodwork and it's natural beauty front and centre, but not in an overdone way...the same way you work. Thanks for the humour, skill, and love you put into each project you show us. I truly appreciate it. Keep Safe and Always Inspiring, Matt - Toronto, Canada
**Hey, Jason!** Build Suggestion: There are several restoration videos of Victorian Writing “Slopes” like a portable desk. Can you build one, complete with hidden drawers??? Cheers!
LOL! Like your ADD . Which is me. And I generally credit Murphy in my accidental design. LOL! Seeing your last video I purchased a Whiteside trim bit. Did the sneaking up on it as my band saw work was done with a 3/4 blade. Humor and info...well done.
Some advice from a 70 year old , someone invented the rubber hammer and if you use it instead of your hands , in later life [ unlike me at 73] your hands will still work
Hi, I’m new to your channel and realize you’re kinda local (New Jersey) and although it’s far (about 40 minutes from me) Willard brothers located in Trenton is a great shop for wood workers. They have all their prices posted online so it’s no guessing. Hope this helps.
That’s one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture I’ve ever seen!

Desk is beautiful. The combination of rounded corners on the frame and drawer boxes is perfect. Well done.
I agree, this is one of your best projects ever. Those drawer pulls are the perfect accent for this desk. Love it!
Incredibly entertaining. Hell I even enjoyed the square space commercial. 😂 Your videos have become part of my weekend routine. Thanks.
We need another treehouse video!
Electrical, security cameras, trap doors and secret entrances. Mounted nerf guns and water blasters.
I was just thinking 💭 about that too
Yes! Interior finishes!!
Indeed. We absolutely need an update on the tree house. I think the 'foreman' isn't too pleased. 😉
Yes...we do!

That desk is absolute magic, love it! Just beautiful.
What a stunning piece guys! I've never seen the floating boxes done up before, so that was great to see. The drawer pulls were pretty cool too!
I like how your skit videos sometime include a little woodworking
The asymmetric handles are a stroke of artistic, creative genius. Fantastic.
Dude. That is one of, if not straight up just the best looking desk I've ever seen
Nice looking desk.

Whutta cool and unique design...all thanks to Craig!!!!❤
Whiskey, Modernist Furniture Building, AND Comedy? Dude, you just got yourself a new subscriber.
You're such an adorable dork. I love it!
Gorgeous desk. The pulls remind me of classic car door handles.
The drawer pulls are the feature of the desk. They set it off beautifully.
Love the Flashdance break, Ha ha! Craig should have dumped water on you a the end! Good work keep it up.
Beautiful mid-century style desk. Thank you for letting us share in the process.
My favorite thing you've built. More importantly, squarespace better be taking good care of you because that commercial was hilarious and amazing.
WOW! I hope to be as good as you in due time. Great looking desk.
Dang it! Those draw pulls pull the whole thing together. Really good work.
With the sweepin in my socks, and those dance moves, you will be on the top of the MTV charts soon! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The BAT phone was a nice touch.
Great work guys. Craig deserves a good work space for all the crap you give him Higgs!
Man I’d love to do some actual woodworking like this. Seems so satisfying.

That is one gorgeous desk. Well done Jason! Oh, you too Craig. Well done!
That dekl is amazing. You guys work well together. Love your channel.

Quality work. You should be very proud of producing such a fantastic piece of workmanship. Love the video content. All the best
Beautiful design and construction. Now you need to make a matching chair!
Nice job, it came together in a very nice way. Fit the receptionist to a "T"
do you have a collection of moths? you seem to have a rather large collection of bourbon down there! oh the desks amazing
Amazing design and love the comedy....😂😂😂😂
Beautiful! The colour of the wig really suits him. The desk is pretty damn awesome, too! 😂
Amazing artwork. Congratulations!
I love those draw pulls, especially the part how you made two spares, just in case...
Amazing and hilarious video!
I think the best thing was the rebate by the top and bottoms. I'll use that. Nice.
So lucky, it's freaking awesome. It looks so good, great work as always.
The desk is fantastic, the square space advert was even better…
Absolutely beautiful!
Unbelievably beautiful!
Gotta love it!!! Absolute beaut!
beautiful
The Squarespace dancing was fantastic! I needed that laugh.
I don’t cared about what my neighbor said about you but you are funny and good with you ideas and woodwork thank you for you for making those videos I am a woodworking person two good job all ways 👍✌️
19:27 haha I love where you clean your fingers :D
Great project. One of your best. Keep up the good work. Really inspiring.
That desk turned out great, really like it 👍
Brilliant, beautiful desk.
Great work - I learn things about design every time. Thanks for that.
Craig - you deserve a medal. Or perhaps some nice Rabbit Hole bourbon (my current fave)?
Your videos Make me wanna strive to be a better woodworker 🙌🏼
Use a paint scraper to remove glue on a glue joint. They work great!
That is a great piece/collection of sections. Well done. Thanks for sharing this.
That desk is fekking gorgeous!
Outstanding piece!
Beautiful work.
Beautiful...
This desk is amazing
Yeah, you should really think about fireing creag, man! He's just never around anymore!
Gorgeous piece! Love it!
Omg I was going to compliment those drawer pulls but then I saw the Squarespace dancing - you stole your own thunder. 😂
Absolutely beautiful!

How hard did you have to fight autocorrect to spell gorgeous like that? 😂

Beautiful desk. Probably needs an upstand at the back edge to prevent stuff falling on anyone below
Aww... man... the Systainers are gone. 😢
I love the drawer pulls. They look a bit like a door handle on a classic car.
Definitely outdid yourself!! Woww
Very nice design. I would have added a center drawer and switched the handles.
A beautiful piece!
That looks great
Awesome

You are mistaken. You might be thinking of KJ Sawdust.
@@jeremyspecce, yep it wasn’t meant for this video. I’m not sure how that happened. It was actually some woman’s video that was buying wood online.
Was so hoping to see him in a French maid costume! Would have been great!
I love this desk. I wonder if flipping the drawers left to right might make the pull fit your hand better?
looks like the top could be glass also to see the top of the drawer boxes. Also here to blow your mind, do you know why laptops are called Lap Tops?
I really like it! Very nice!
True work of art
Your new receptionist is hot. 😂
It is a very nice piece 👍
I’ll take the owl thermometer please 😂!
Amazing!!!🎉
My fingis ain't going nowhere that close to the router table even if the result is this amazing
Beautiful piece. Did the top sag even a little at the front ?
Awesome!
Très beau ce bureau
Nice desk! However, after the critique on your linseed video by AvE, I look at all vids differently.
You should make a rolling wooden chair to go with it
Will there be plans available for this desk?
Großartig! 👍
