Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
The desk is fantastic, but I'm even more impressed with Craig's acting skills. The facial expression and body language when delivering ice cream is perfect. The receptionist ending was terrific too.
Honestly? This desk is simply amazing! As a desk driver for over 30 years, this is a work of art that is nicer than any desk I have ever sat at. It would be a privilege.
I can say with zero hesitation that this desk is the sexiest desk I have ever seen. I would literally throw my desk out on the curb, after spending a butt load on it, to get this as a replacement. Love your videos!
I have to agree with you as far as the "Nicest Piece Yet" title. Don't get me wrong, all of your stuff is so beautiful, But this is something else. I love watching and learning so Thank You. Behind every good maker is a "Craig". Thanks to Craig as well.
Nice looking desk. Glues top and bottom on cross grain, wood movement nothing to worry about, then worries about wood movement when screwing drawer cubes into the desk.
GORGEOUS!!! What a build..ART! I am an intermediate woodworker but I will be attempting this project because this is the desk of my dreams! I hope the plans are available...Craig is one lucky guy.
The desk is stunning! You definitely captured that mid-century vibe!! You should turn the desk so it faces the outdoors, maybe on an angle off to one side. That's an amazing location with that view!
Very nice. Lots of opinions out there. Here’s mine…You may be right thinking the wood movement of the boxes will be minimal. Still cross grain solid wood panels with no room for movement in the connection method is a recipe for long term problems. Bravo for allowing for seasonal movement when attaching the boxes. Good luck long term. Hope I’m wrong.
Prior to this, my favorite build to date was the pool chair inspired walnut coffee table, but I think this desk has taken the title. Easily one of the coolest pieces I've seen, not just on this channel, but all of youtube. Super dope big bruh.
I love the thinking outside of the box (pun intended). Always heard don't climb cut, yet here you are and what a great tip. Look forward to trying it. Love the humor at the end!
Excellent video! Excellent project! You owe EN Curtis a beer for recommending your channel. I subscribed and look forward to seeing Craig in his receptionist garb in future videos!
Are plans available to make this desk? I have a very special piece of teak that was once the lab tabletop of a very famous scientist. My daughter is a professor/ scientist and I am using this wood to make an office desk for her. Love your channel this dest would be perfect!
Listened to the January 20 edition of the Creative Culture podcast today. Intriguing commentary on the power of UA-cam vs network television as a distribution channel for DIY content. Rearranged my cognitive map for broadcast and streaming media. And, uh, cool video on the mid-century modern desk build.
All your work is great and I appreciate the down to earth presentation, this piece feels like a whole new level though, lovely design and execution, might even have to admit, it's inspiring, not just as a piece, but a level of mastery to put in my long term goals. Thanks for sharing!
**Hey, Jason!** Build Suggestion: There are several restoration videos of Victorian Writing “Slopes” like a portable desk. Can you build one, complete with hidden drawers??? Cheers!
Love how it came out! Would have gone with a darker finish on the drawer boxes themselves but I think it looks great! Also, another name for the shadow line is a reveal. May be more of an architectural term than a woodworking term but I think it still applies!
The desk is a work of art. You've outdone yourself on this one.

It's Saturday morning, it's raining outside, I've got my coffee & my toast and a half hour Bourbon Moth video to watch.
same here.
The desk is fantastic, but I'm even more impressed with Craig's acting skills. The facial expression and body language when delivering ice cream is perfect. The receptionist ending was terrific too.
I imagine you and Craig have a lot of fun behind the scenes making these awesome and entertaining videos! Nice desk! Looks beautiful!
We need another treehouse video!
Electrical, security cameras, trap doors and secret entrances. Mounted nerf guns and water blasters.
I was just thinking 💭 about that too
Yes! Interior finishes!!
Indeed. We absolutely need an update on the tree house. I think the 'foreman' isn't too pleased. 😉
Yes...we do!
Incredibly entertaining. Hell I even enjoyed the square space commercial. 😂 Your videos have become part of my weekend routine. Thanks.
Desk is beautiful. The combination of rounded corners on the frame and drawer boxes is perfect. Well done.
I agree, this is one of your best projects ever. Those drawer pulls are the perfect accent for this desk. Love it!
Great job Craig … oh and Jason. Nice work ❤

You’re the only UA-camr who’s ads I don’t skip through.
That a beauty of a desk. I have a love seat from the 70's with a very similar frame work design. Some old design features are indeed timeless.
Ave would be proud. ❤

I like how your skit videos sometime include a little woodworking
Whiskey, Modernist Furniture Building, AND Comedy? Dude, you just got yourself a new subscriber.
Whutta cool and unique design...all thanks to Craig!!!!❤
The desk is out of this world! And Craig is cute with red hair
My favorite thing you've built. More importantly, squarespace better be taking good care of you because that commercial was hilarious and amazing.
That desk is absolute magic, love it! Just beautiful.
Dude. That is one of, if not straight up just the best looking desk I've ever seen
The asymmetric handles are a stroke of artistic, creative genius. Fantastic.
That’s one of the most beautiful pieces of furniture I’ve ever seen!
That table turned out beautifully!
You've reached the next level in design and execution with this desk. It is MCM design perfection.
With the sweepin in my socks, and those dance moves, you will be on the top of the MTV charts soon! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice looking desk.
Glues top and bottom on cross grain, wood movement nothing to worry about, then worries about wood movement when screwing drawer cubes into the desk.
What a lovely desk the draw pulls worked out really really well. Nice job Jason
GORGEOUS!!! What a build..ART! I am an intermediate woodworker but I will be attempting this project because this is the desk of my dreams! I hope the plans are available...Craig is one lucky guy.
This makes 2 videos where I'm incredibly impressed with your drawer-pull artistry and carpentry.
The drawer pulls are the feature of the desk. They set it off beautifully.
What a stunning piece guys! I've never seen the floating boxes done up before, so that was great to see. The drawer pulls were pretty cool too!
You're such an adorable dork. I love it!
Truly beautiful. Design perfection.
The desk is beautiful. Love the new secretary. Lol.
Absolutely Spectacular !!! Craig really worked his ass off !!!
@BourbonMoth_______ Hello…
Beautiful mid-century style desk. Thank you for letting us share in the process.
The desk is stunning! You definitely captured that mid-century vibe!! You should turn the desk so it faces the outdoors, maybe on an angle off to one side. That's an amazing location with that view!
Probably the most entertaining video I’ve watched in a long time
Always some little nuggets of information I pick up watching your videos. Thanks
i rarely use plans. i find winging it works for me. that way it’s your own. great desk!

You’re very skilled guy. Love the humor keep it up! My 26 year old son and I both watch. Thanks!
Great work guys. Craig deserves a good work space for all the crap you give him Higgs!
That design is astonishing!
Beautiful. I love the solid wood, makes for a priceless piece.
That desk is a thing of beauty!
Absolutely Stunning! Craig, I'm your biggest fan! You should have answered the phone in a Mrs. Doubtfire voice. The desk looks good too, Jason.
Great design and craftsmanship on this piece.
Dang it! Those draw pulls pull the whole thing together. Really good work.
The desk is fantastic, the square space advert was even better…
Gorgeous desk. The pulls remind me of classic car door handles.
The desk is a work of art. Good luck on your next projects. 👏👏
Love the Flashdance break, Ha ha! Craig should have dumped water on you a the end! Good work keep it up.
We all know you are a great content creator, but your woodworking is off the charts. Beautiful piece!
That is one gorgeous desk. Well done Jason! Oh, you too Craig. Well done!
One beautiful piece of art
I love the thinking outside of the box (pun intended). Always heard don't climb cut, yet here you are and what a great tip. Look forward to trying it. Love the humor at the end!
Man I’d love to do some actual woodworking like this. Seems so satisfying.
Beautiful! The colour of the wig really suits him. The desk is pretty damn awesome, too! 😂
Excellent video! Excellent project! You owe EN Curtis a beer for recommending your channel. I subscribed and look forward to seeing Craig in his receptionist garb in future videos!
I think the best thing was the rebate by the top and bottoms. I'll use that. Nice.
Looks great Jason! Lol that receptionist moment.
Are plans available to make this desk? I have a very special piece of teak that was once the lab tabletop of a very famous scientist.
My daughter is a professor/ scientist and I am using this wood to make an office desk for her.
Love your channel this dest would be perfect!
Beautiful desk
Amazing design and love the comedy....😂😂😂😂
Unbelievably beautiful!

Absolutely stunning work
Great desk, but there is one or two questions. Did you make extra drawer pulls or fewer drawers than you planned? 😁
That is absolutely stunning
Nice job, it came together in a very nice way. Fit the receptionist to a "T"
The Squarespace dancing was fantastic! I needed that laugh.
19:27 haha I love where you clean your fingers :D
All your work is great and I appreciate the down to earth presentation, this piece feels like a whole new level though, lovely design and execution, might even have to admit, it's inspiring, not just as a piece, but a level of mastery to put in my long term goals. Thanks for sharing!

Wowza!
Beautiful design and construction. Now you need to make a matching chair!
Beautiful Desk! You gave out done yourself!
Just realized Jason never asks for a like, subscribe, comment, nothing. Gotta appreciate a man that doesn’t beg to be popular.
That dekl is amazing. You guys work well together. Love your channel.
Amazing artwork. Congratulations!
Absolutely beautiful!
Omg I was going to compliment those drawer pulls but then I saw the Squarespace dancing - you stole your own thunder. 😂
Use a paint scraper to remove glue on a glue joint. They work great!
Informative and funny videos keep me watching. I love it when I see you've posted a new video. The desk is amazing, as are you and Craig :)
That damn, CRAIG!!
Quality work. You should be very proud of producing such a fantastic piece of workmanship. Love the video content. All the best
That’s amazing! You’re an artist.
Beautiful piece of furniture, and a lot of fun to see how you did it.
truely beautiful 🤎
I think a matching chair would be cool. Maybe with a leather padded seat. But very cool desk
Gotta love it!!! Absolute beaut!
👏🏽👏🏽dude it is seriously beautiful👏🏽👏🏽 the drawer pulls are 🔥
Love how it came out! Would have gone with a darker finish on the drawer boxes themselves but I think it looks great!
