Great explanation of the build. I’m late to the party but have been running a Graveborn/Spellshot pixie build which is great but not overly satisfying to play. This looks great as the spells involve you more in the game rather than just spamming pixies
Thanks, man. I respec'd to take advantage of these mechanics, and now farming and bossing are much easier. I can actually see working my way up Chaos levels now, getting more ideal gear as I go
Update: Just wanted to edit what I said about Stain of the Soul skill. I had tested in the review copy many times cause I was blown away that it worked how I described. Never once had the spells damage boosted. Tested now in the retail copy and it seems to be working fine, just each element has its own crit chance! So it should be safe to spec now if you choose to do so. Either way it’s not that much extra damage so don’t fret if you are not specced. Sorry for the confusion!
any source for the practised concentrated magic barrage ? been trying to get one from the chaos chamber loot room for ages but can't seem to get that prefix
Not really possible since you can’t break ward in there you’ll have 0 ward upon entering raid bosses area. It’s a great build but all those bosses are open world.
Why use the ability damage enchant specifically on one spell and damage dealt on the other? Are you just listing them because they're both decent options/that's what you had available? Or does having that one ability dmg boost do something unique for the build?
@@ojaya15966 yeah I can’t wait for that as I’m hoping we get 3 levels per DLC so we can capstone both trees without having 72 be cap as then you’d literally be able to get every skill in each tree which to me sounds rather boring for everyone to be rocking the same builds
Great video, haven't managed to find myself a spellweaving stack class mod, but I have found a boost for the ascension skill which for me is currently at 10% per stack, did have one that boosted it to 12%, if theres a class mod that gives you high thread count and ascension i need it lol
I've been doing a full cryo build, except I've been going for the spellshot capstone so I always have my spells off CD. Ive been focusing on using a combination of the ice spike(from the ground) instant cast, and then either hold and repeat ice spike or a ricocheting ice spike. Would I be better off staying with the spellshot capstone, or would a setup like yours be better?
Great build! I am expecting somewhat of a Nerf though. Gearbox in the past has been huge on nerfing things quick shortly after release. You should cover 2 builds nobody is talking about : Brrzerker/Stabbo and Brrzerker/Spellshot. Super high potential with these 2 as well.
I have a huge Spellshot/brrzerker build with double ice spike spell and it's nuts Rolling chaos trials with it! I switched when I found a duplicate ice spike spell that I liked. Initially I was graveborn/spellshot and was running dark magic stuff but my gear was leaning towards the former. Only problem is frost resist enemies but not a big deal.
This is what they did in BL3 but gave us op gear later on anyway but locked behind a paywall via the season passes. Hope if they do nerf things they don’t give us a bunch of op things you can only get by getting dlc.
@@CentauriTT oh they prob will. But I’m hoping they learned from 3 and everything is already properly scaled before release so it doesn’t phase out existing gear, it’s just new options. That way it’d prevent DLC flavor of the months that dominate the scene
With the current state of the game where guns and spells seem to be locked behind hard caps it seems promising to me. Base game stuff is awesome in terms of spell selection as well as weapons etc. so I can’t wait to see what the DLCs offer

Chose graveborn and spellshot on the fly, not putting any thought to it. Looks like this combo is pretty broken but I honestly like the gunplay more than one tapping everything. Hope to see more sick builds

Nope character backgrounds don’t make much of a difference. This character I showed is actually not Village Idiot cause a friend sent me his character to use so I didn’t have to level another alt. So trust me you’ll be fine!
I thought ability damage only applied to the class actions not the skill tree nodes, so dire sacrifice or reaper of bones not blast gasp. Is there somewhere that outlines otherwise?
@@time4weed74 tooltext isn't reliable in these games tho The amount of times 'weapon damage' in a skill tree tooltip was actually elemental or v2 in bl3 was stupid
I respec and I still don't have as many hero and skill points as you. Was trying to do this build and nothing can come of it when I don't have the points that you are showing. So what am I doing wrong?? Like this build but if the points aren't there and I'm max level it doesn't make sense.
I've got the exact same build and stuff since I downloaded the save to try this build out, but it feels really inconsistent whether I can one-shot bosses or not. Sometimes I do but often times It will just half their health. Not sure why that is.
Spells aren’t bugged with bonus elements. They still crit just the same. Idk where you heard that or how you tested that but from my testing, that’s not the case.
Have to roll different worded. So ex. “On spell cast gain increased lightning damage” will stack with “Action skill active increased lightning damage” but they won’t if you use two of the same!
So for a Chaos chance run with this build how would you refill your ward to be able to get the ward break in the first place? I'm thinking of trying this out but placing one point into the skill that gives you some ward after a spell/reloading. But I'm just curious how this build accomplishes this without that as I see he does take glass cannon. Either way awesome build!!!
Well if I see it correctly, he doesnt use it, because he is constantly using spells. Even when mobbing, thats why he uses a second ward with another enchantment. You need to stay above 50% health to not get oneshottet. There is a skill in Gravewards tree that give you health regen for every spell used
@@Lotuswalker I do see how he's healing hp, but I was wondering how he was getting his ward back as part of his interactions involves an enchant that activates upon ward break! I did perhaps figure it out now though. Before every boss in the chaos chambers they give you a free full heal which also fills your ward. So thanks you that, you can get a free ward refill before your boss to activate the ward break. Appreciate your response though!
@@Lotuswalker correct, my only question about the build was how to gain ward back for the one time effect of a ward break for the enchant effect! I did figure that part out now so all is good.
Is Lord of Edges really even worth it? You will typically only get around like 10 to 15% out of it as the 25% assumes you're at 0 health. You're typically not going to be spending much time at low health especially with Sanguine Sacrement, and you're already stacking like ~150-180% all damage between the ward and Faithful Servants. So getting like ~15% additive to that 150% occasionally doesn't sound that great. Also damage reduction while low health isn't going to save you from getting killed by the next hit anyways. I realize that I'm probably overanalyzing a 1 point skill but it still seems completely worthless to me.

So when the weapon says chaotic on the top is it the same damage lvl for every chaos chamber tier? Example chaos lvl 1 chaotic weapon does that same damage as chaos 20 chaotic weapon

I thought the critical chance and damage in the hero stats don’t affect spells because they are not “spell” critical hit chance and damage which is a stat in this game as you can see from certain items and the myth rank?
Git the same issue on ps4, but it is a minor one. I also get hard fps drops/laggs once i play for too long. Not too sure if its just the playstation heating up or the game, but id guess the game since it runs fine again once i shut it down and restart again. Still a better release than cyberpunk thoug

what you said in regards to "stain of the souls" does not seem to apply for me at all.. can you please explain more? from what I understand, you say that the lightning damage will not crit (no bigger number) and only the added dark magic will crit. yet when I tried this out because of that comment I can clearly see both my dark magic damage AND my lightning damage number become bigger.. from 120k to around 256k for lightning damage and 8k to around 18k for my dark magic. so it apears to be working normaly for me.
That's what I've been trying to look at now, too. I don't think it is bugged at all. I've been looking everywhere and he's literally the only person saying it's bugged.

@@Chadly99 mayyyybe they can just crit individually? maybe the lightning or dark magic can crit while the other does not crit? because I tested some more, and sometimes it DOES seem as though one numbers goes up, and the other does not.
@@Schecter31 What he described is definitely not a bug, it's working as intended. When bonus damage is applied it hits as two separate occurrences, both spell damage in this case. The skill has a 20% chance to proc so sometimes the base spell procs an explosion, sometimes the bonus dark magic procs it. I'd imagine it stands out more when the dark magic procs because it's actually more surprising when the boss doesn't instantly melt.
The bonus is from Myth Rank and I’m assuming character background (wasn’t my base character, friend sent me this character so I didn’t have to level a spellshot). All my self allocated points went into crit damage, chance, and spell cooldown
It's Vorcanar iirc.... The one at the end of the Goblin Mountain area, though the drop rates are still not really known. But you could also do chaos chamber runs.

this was my first mix/combo. Mainly cause I like spell-casting characters.

I choose spellshot and graveborn on my first run and I knew it had potential, those skill trees go together nicely
I had grave born and spell shot very fun.
Especially with a COV assault rifle with dark magic in one hand a spells in the other.
Just wait until DLC and we get more levels.

With most cryo spells being high cast counts with fairly low cooldowns, your better off going Graveborn cap imo

the parasite boss on the jack and the beanstalk world area. You might have to kill it 10-20 times so don't get discouraged

Are you trying to match his skill levels exactly? Some skill levels come from the armor not levels.

Maybe because the one shots come from blast gasp which only has a 20% chance to proc it's not a guarantee one shot everytime

Blast Gasp itself cannot crit. Area damage should on certain spells, haven’t tested specific ones

@@TwistedEyes12 also, the ward as an effect, that you get a dmg boost, when it is empty. So he wants it to be empty most of the time

Just Chaotic and Volatile. They just have increased stats. Not necessary, just extra damage to look for

Yes it’s a big difference too tbh normal case let’s say hits for 100% with the charge cast hits for around 130-140%
Example 50k hits will do 75-80k instead

Can you reset skills at new-u? If you can you'll be able to change your secondary class. Can't remember if you could do it before level 40 or not.

That's what I've been trying to look at now, too. I don't think it is bugged at all. I've been looking everywhere and he's literally the only person saying it's bugged.
I have some screenshots of it not actually critting. I will try testing again in the morning. Maybe a silent change??
@@Chadly99 would be awesome if you could clarify yes! :) and if it is changed, would it change your build? put the points there instead of minion damage and maybe less hydras?
@@Chadly99 mayyyybe they can just crit individually? maybe the lightning or dark magic can crit while the other does not crit? because I tested some more, and sometimes it DOES seem as though one numbers goes up, and the other does not.
@@Schecter31 What he described is definitely not a bug, it's working as intended. When bonus damage is applied it hits as two separate occurrences, both spell damage in this case. The skill has a 20% chance to proc so sometimes the base spell procs an explosion, sometimes the bonus dark magic procs it. I'd imagine it stands out more when the dark magic procs because it's actually more surprising when the boss doesn't instantly melt.
Seems good but the ferriore weapons are an instant turn off for me hate most of them
Why put points into Attunement? It doesn’t work on Ambi-hextrous
The bonus is from Myth Rank and I’m assuming character background (wasn’t my base character, friend sent me this character so I didn’t have to level a spellshot). All my self allocated points went into crit damage, chance, and spell cooldown
Is there a drop location for the armor piece?
It's Vorcanar iirc.... The one at the end of the Goblin Mountain area, though the drop rates are still not really known. But you could also do chaos chamber runs.

i just found a melee weapon that converts all the melee damage to spell damage. it's called spellblade of the assassin. it looks like a wand tho
thought it would be really strong in this build. at least better than the default melee itself
