After testing Stabbomancer a bit, it's definitely stronger early on because it requires much less setup and gives a whole bunch of flat damage increase, but it mainly benefits your gun damage as opposed to spell damage. Loving the spell system they put together in this game. It’s like Hades and Borderlands had a baby. I won’t nerd out completely about my build but I can’t recommend THE BEST SPELL EVER from a quest in the desert elevator zone enough! And it’s ONLY A TRIBUTE

i've been rocking a deadshot companion build that spawns like 6 hydras every time i cast a spell, it's quite fun with a cryo last rites shotgun as the primary weapon
Every BL has been focused on gunz, gunz, gunz. This is the first time I get to break from that and use only abilities (spells) so I’m taking full advantage of ambihextrous and only using skillpoints for spell related bonuses. Combined with some spells that have short CD and multiple casts/continuous casts, there’s no running into a dry spell! *ba-dum-tiss*
It’s probably not the most “efficient” but it’s fun and that’s all I need.
Yea, I've been waiting for something like this from BL. Even in this game that's heavily inspired by dungeon crawlers with 4 to 5 abelites AND basic weapons, there's still on 2 abilities per person. Well, I'd rather have 4, but I'll settle for 2 if I can spam them

I love the Twister Spell. Damage wise it seems to do a lot and it helps push even some bosses
Just some food for thought. Don't spec into "Mage Armor" but still spec into "Glass Cannon." This will prevent your shield from recharging while giving you +30% Spell Damage (and roughly 15% gun damage). Now farm Ribula (Skeleton Mage at very beginning of game; First Boss) and get a Cursed Wit shield. Cursed wit gives damage reduction to you AND 100% bonus damage to damage dealt to nearby enemies while DEPLETED. Your skill KEEP it depleted so you keep the shield buffs :)
You have to spec graceborn for that, like it's a must have at chaos 20
That’s the problem Is you have be close for it to fully work, most bosses in this game you can’t get close to like that, also just for normal mobbing you kill everything so fast it doesn’t matter that much
What boss can't u get close too??? I literally go in on every boss because of the shield and nothing bad happens lol
@@DELUXEmenu about all of the raid bosses in the chaos chamber, and dragon lord won’t work he has to many Immune phases, the big water guy that has three phases and you can only get close for the first one, and every other boss you can get close to is extremely easy without this shield
@@devxved I dunno, I don’t even bother with the +30% spell damage, and still walk through chaos 20 like it’s nothing all the while enjoying a 20k shield and 10k HP. I don’t think the hassle of juggling HP is even necessary when everything dies in less than a .5 seconds.
Not using dark hydra but using the extra damage per companion seems like a miss. You get so much damage per companion plus having companions doing damage is super nice

The companion is super good for when you get super low on health he will die off and you'll live on, which is very helpful in boss fights

I leveled Spellshot and went with the Spellshot capstone until 40. At 40 I then specced into the Graveborn capstone, and leaned hard on Kill Skills, Hydra, the thing that gives me 6% damage for every companion, and high spell cooldown and spell damage, and I seem to just melt everything. It's almost boring. I'll probably have to respec when I get to chaos farming, but playing through story on hard difficulty at level 40 this build is a lot of fun.

What would you suggest for re farming gear for the chaos levels?

Is the UI for Spellweaving stats bugged? When hovering over Spellweaving, it shows the Current Effect for Spell Damage as 10% no matter what my Spellshot power is.

For some reason the game glitched and when I chose secondary class it just chose for me and now im stuck with a wyvern lol
Ur missing out on mega damage from graveborn tree. Even though it's 20% chance to activate it is sooooo worth does crazy big damage
cna someone give me a list what the best combis are for every class in solo gmaeplay( w lan is very bad online is almsot impossible for me)
I've been trying to get high thread count and spell sniper on the same armor, anyone had this drop or is it not possible?
I have a question about spellshot power because I'm not sure exactly how it works and I can't find anything online about it either.
For example I'll use my low level spellshot character for ease. Which is about 20% with 5 stacks maximum of spellweaving at 50%.
So does it:
1) add 20% on 50% = 70% damage increase
2) 20% of 50% = 10% = 60% damage increase
I'm just confused on it all because when testing on a ice spike spell without any spellshot power is 845 damage and 900 with 20% spellshot power

My biggest problem is I feel stuck with the spells that I have because they have such huge base damage and tons of buffs to spell damage/spell crit/etc... I'm only level 27 tho and I'm sure I'll find others. I just really want some quick casting ice and dark spells but I'm stuck with the same ice seeker and lightning ball
Spells are both my favorite and my least favorite thing in this game. While leveling I used the same ice spike spell from level 12 until level 25 because I simply just couldn't find anything better, but the variation makes the loot chase more interesting. It's very hard to tell which spell will actually be good when you slap it on and use it too.
@@NickTew my best friend and I have both noted that it feels like it takes a long time to find gear that's better than the stuff you've been using for like 10 levels. Luckily I just found an ice spike spell that I can cast while firing my dark smg to pretty much do constant damage
I accidentally sold an amazing dark spell I can’t replicate

Obviously im not nick but graveborn is definitely better as a secondary imo. Can go with spellshot or brzerker for fun combo builds.

@@iTenkai Exactly, with this specific build the spell shot capstone is what he relies on for getting his spells back off cool down instantly. Thus making spell cooldown rate a irrelevant skill.

Not sure what the best is, but it looks like he is using Village Idiot. Seems to work well.
I love using the Pushpin pistol with Spellshot, since it only has one bullet in the chamber and a really fast reload time that is almost unnoticeable (0.9s on my current one). Solid pistol damage and a good method of keeping constant Spellweave stacks and replenishing Ward via Mage Armor.
I've been grabbing every new Pushpin I run in to. You always stay at max spellweaving stacks and it's accurate enough to work like a sniper. Plus Jakobs has always been my favorite manufacturer.

@@jacksongallagher5056 its a basic essentially Jakobs pistol. Ive found them mostly green rarity, though there is a legendary variant called the Masterwork Handbow that you can farm from Captain Swallow for.

i'm trying it at chaos 15 and i am definitely struggling, i have a great arc torrent and it's doing like 15-20k. maybe i'm doing something wrong, seeing gameplay of it would give us an idea of how it is.
The sunder was pretty much carrying me, some spells are much worse than others, it really just depends on the roll. If you're having a hard time i'd recommend trying out that stabbo build I posted, but chaos can be difficult without a decently optimized setup that deep into it. Just try to get enchants on everything, and some decent synergies/stats going
i tried multiple spells and what i have right now is a sunder and glacial cascade. but i had to switch to a buffmeister to do any damage to the boss. i have enchants on everything. the guns that are doing the best a x4 projectile smg, liquid coolong (that is really good sometimes) and a crossblade (shotgun that shoots 2 waves in an x that goes through everything, including the map.)
@@pwnmclovin1 yeah that's definitely the "meta" so to speak. I'll be working on builds that are functional without buffmeister & overturned weapons, but it's certainly much more effort.
i feel like enemies in elite are overtuned or more likely almost every gun/spell just kinda suck

What about stats? Where have you been putting your points? This only covers skills.
I think you are interpreting the class power stat incorrectly. +55% spellshot power probably means that each stack gives 15.5% spell damage, not 55%. Going by your logic would mean that your demi-lich should have 0 health and damage.
@@billybones5832 Yes, that would be +55% of the base 10%. But the issue I have is that no matter how much Spellshot power I have, hovering over Spellweaving will always show that the Current Effect for Spell Damage is 10% per stack.

I’m spellshot/stabo with extremely high spell dmg, spell crit, crit dmg, and good legendary guns and i’m struggling to do dmg in end game chaos 3+ in a four man while i watch my teamates with companion builds shred enemies. Any tips? I feel like spellshot is weak in a 4 man difficulty setting. And i’m using two barrages that are 500+ dmg times 1000% spell dmg and still don’t melt bosses or badasses.
Put buffmeister in the right spell slot then your highest single dmg not x2 or w.e spell in left then use buff meister and shoot something. Gg you win.

Getting a little worried about the weapon selection in this game. Mind you I'm still in early game but everyone is recommending the same two guns vs B3 where even early on people were finding tons of great different weapon styles. Now it's just cryo and crossbows.
I agree! I'm farming all the legendary weapons and plan to test them. I'm sure other good options exist, I do hope they balance them though. It's not always fun just using the same few things
@@NickTew balanced early. B3 became annoying when you'd grind and grind for a gun and then they nerf it.
I was doing 200k damage in chaos 20 and respeced to try a new build then went back to the original 200k build but I’m only doing 5k damage. Same gear and everything. All enchantments for my build and all. Has anyone experienced this?

Helpful guide, but why do so many UA-camrs insist on mispronouncing Ambihextrous? It's four syllables, not five. It's not Ambi-Hex-Tri-ous. It's Ambi-Hex-trous. Anyway, my initial combo was Spellshot + Stabb, mainly for the 30% increased crit chance and a few other passives, but while they can help overall damage, the Graveborn seems to actually increase survivability and increase spell use. Also, Faithful Thralls works with *any* companion, which includes hydras you summon via spell, or from reloading.
Your count of syllables is correct, but for the sake of clarity: Ambi is two syllables, so Am-Bi-Hex-Trous

As someone who has ADD/ ADHD bro less fucking detail. Your video could have been 3 to 6 minutes shorter. Most players, like myself who are a bit above average, who come to look for info don't care about 14.75% of this that could possibly stack on that potential 45% combined with the holy hand grenade of antiok damage. Video was very helpful just a bear to get threw.
Pro ADD tip bud, and I do do this, before I have to go have meetings with my boss who always wants to have a what can be better pow-wow, I write down exactly what I want to say on the meeting topic, and then 2 little spits on "what can be better" takes his normal 90 minute sit down; to a cool in and out under 25 minutes. Also keeps me on topic so I can get back to managing shit.
And before the fan boi start in, I empathize with this content creator whole heartedly, been living with said show cased issues since I was 9, and I'm 40, so I come from a place of understanding and encouragement.
