He is literally the only reason I ever wanted to play drums. The fact that I have one of the 500 replicas of his drum set (with the deathbat on the bass drum heads and everything) still blows my mind when I see it in my house. I’ll cherish it foREVer🙌🏼
i listen to A7X since 2003/4, my favorite band and i always cry watching this video bc i remember when i was a teenager with 15 years old, and i woke up and open a famous metal page here in brazil, and i saw the news that Jimmy had died, i was in shock and couldn't stop crying. i miss him, i miss his voice and everything. foREVer.
Fyi: In the pool when he said he loved them both and missed his chance, that was to Syn and Michelle. Syn proposed to Michelle at the reception of M Shadows and Val's wedding 💒
It’s so crazy how we can get attached to a person that we’ve never met, and who had no knowing of our existence but could make us cry because they’re gone. I always thought it was weird that people cry over some celebrities but overtime with different people I’ve understood how those feelings are and it’s just crazy!
24:10 it was actually from the recording of the white album, where he came up with "a little piece of heaven", here's some footage of jimmy playing from that photo! ua-cam.com/video/9r2UoidbBtw/v-deo.html
Lord, we all miss that man so, so much. Incredible drummer, but an absolute legend of a man. Ask any one person who ever met him and they'll have a Jimmy story -Ive lost track of how many times I stood in line at avenged shows and heard fans swapping Jimmy stories, well before we lost him. The laughing girl in so many photos with Jimmy was his long time girlfriend, Leanna.
I've had to sort through a lot of things for the time to come back and watch this, but here I am. 🥰 There's a lot to unpack, but it's pretty fun to explain most of this. That first song in the video that you figured was Pinkly Smooth is Stubb (A Dub) by Mr. Bungle. You'll probably remember them for Retrovertigo, of course. Stubb is a more typical weird song from them. Jimmy's Heist actually happened on the day I was born. That's crazy for me to think about. 😅 The girl with him was his fiancé Leana MacFadden. She was the one who found him when he died. The twin that did the talking was Val. Michelle hadn't really done any interview segments until the Drinks with Johnny episode this year with Val. Michelle has a great personality, but she's very shy. 🙂 The piano photos were from the studio where the self-titled was recorded. That Madden brother is Benji from Good Charlotte. He's probably the closest between he and Joel to Avenged Sevenfold. There's one 3-part Australian interview he did with Matt and Zacky. I'm not quite sure how to recommend that one, but it's amazing. 😄 I'm surprised they didn't include more material from Nightmare in this, but I suppose they wanted more stuff from when Jimmy was alive. This tribute could've been an hour longer, but it was so well-put together. I'm glad you were able to see it. 😊❤
@@BetterEveryDayUA-cam I think the one we know least about is Zacky. I hope he does some great interviews when this next record comes out. You're very welcome. 😊

Thank you for filling in the gaps on some of this! It helps me understand more about the band as a whole.

Another tragic waste to join the many who died young. :'(
