I went to a show on this tour 10 days before this concert, in Little Rock AR. I've seen them many times but this was by far the best venue. It was a little amphitheater right on the Arkansas river. They had the pyrotechnics just like this show. Cool March night....just perfect.
I ALMOST went and I will regret not being there for the rest of my life x___x thankfully I am seeing them on Friday so thatll make me have peace with that haha.
You're not wrong on the first "scream" being 'unhealthy', the singer, M.Shadows has reportedly had multiple vocal chord surgerys. But man his voice is one of the more unique sounding out there.
He's only had one surgery, and that was before City of Evil. Everything he does is healthy, his problems stem from touring too much. The man sang shows for 10-12 straight years while recording albums in between. The voice can only handle so much before you need a break. Absolutely incredible band! Check them out every chance you get, and pay special attention to the early drumming.
To answer your question @ 5:42 the drummer was Jimmy "The Rev" Sulivan in my opinion one of the best drummers I've ever heard and seen live he was one man that could do what 10 couldn't in terms of talent
I love that you recognize the drummer pretty much immediately. He is my all time favorite drummer along with the drummer of Tool (Danny Carey) .. every musician in A7X is amazing
Rip to The Rev, jimmy was the best drummer I’ve ever heard and his vocals were always so nice imo
Best 00s metal band easily, great reaction!
One of the most talented and creative bands. RIP the rev
