Yay! I hope you like Akame Ga Kill! You'll have to share your thoughts when you watch it.
Nana and Scums Wish are two great pick ups! I need to get my bluray copy of Nana as well.

And yes~ Nana is so worth picking up when you get the chance, I do say wait for a sale to save some cash on it though, but it looks amazing~

I was really enjoying Akame ga Kill up until certain point in the series. I wished it would had stay accurate to the manga. I really loved haikyu! I'm trying to collect the manga volumes.
    Fantastic haul as always Val!

Interesting! I might have to read the Akame ga Kill manga alongside watching this one, I'm curious how much they changed. Haikyu is wonderful, and I really love the art in the manag, especially how it develops through the volumes, that must be fun to collect : D And Thanks Ronin!

Gunbuster hype is pretty high for me right now, I've yet to see anything from the franchise and so I can't wait to finally change that when that crazy Discotek Blu Ray comes in. I have the Maiden Japan release of the movie myself.
I also picked up Akame Ga Kill on dylans recommendation I think. I regret to say that I've yet to actually watch it. Kinda fell off the darker more bloody Anime over the last year or so. Just never been in the mood for them, I hope that changes soon though as there are plenty I've bought and want to see. Maybe the next AOT season will get me interested again lol
Love Those Who Hunt Elves, hope you find it fun too. It's silly but has that 90's charm to it and the characters are just great, especially Junpei!
Heard good things about Scum's Wish over the years. I'd like to eventually see all the noitaminA block shows as they're more often that not really high quality. Seems this one follows suit. Also big agree on the disc art, I've seen people criticize Sentai for using non anime art on their sets but personally if the art is good and associated with the show then I'd rather have that then more normal key art. Especially if it's only on the discs.
Finally got my copy of Haikyuu S4 in the holiday sale too. Such a special series that just fills me with such joy. I think what I like about this show that alot of other sports Anime don't quite manage is the time it puts into developing the opposition. It's not the only show to do it but few have done it better. To the point where there is an OVA on that set which doesn't have the Karasuno boys in it at all and it didn't bother me one bit as the focus was on characters we more than just knew of.
I'm fortunate to have the Nana DVDs, bought them many many years ago. The two Shoujo Beat sets that Viz did for Nana and Honey and Clover were so nice. Personally I struggled alittle with Nana, it is without a doubt a superb show but the more mature storytelling and therein some of the choices characters made left me feeling alittle bummed out lol. Though I remember being glued to it and getting through 7-10 episodes a day almost. I adore the soundtrack to this show and actually own the Best CD with all the full OP's/EDs on it. Including a super catchy cover of Anarchy in the UK lol. I mentioned I believe in my Anime Wishlist video that of the 3 main Anime adapted from Ai Yazawa's manga personally I preferred Gokinjo Monogatari, more flowerly shoujo, more standard but it gave me more of what I wanted in the end. Speaking of it's real shame she never finished Nana, for such a beloved series to be left where it was is a real shame but understandable considering what happened. I often wonder if creators ever feel the urge to just write and ending and either let someone they trust draw it for them or to just put a rough synopsis out of what the ending would've been. Though of course it's not as simple as that, I'm sure they aren't even sure themselves what the ending is going to be most of the time. Especially in Nana's case given what happened...
    anyway lol
    Great Haul Val! :)

I'm also hyped for the upcoming Gunbuster release : D I'm just really looking forward to all the extras they are putting in, it's great seeing the work Discotek is putting into that one.
I've been the same way lately, honestly I've spent time rewatching old favs. Somehow thats really comforting right now? Can't tell if it's the weather or we all just need a break haha. I'll get to Akame Ga Kill later on, I know Dylan wants to chat with me about it as well ^^
I'm all about that 90's charm, so I have a feeling I will really like Those Who Hunt Elves. I know you have reccommended it in your videos, and I've really enjoyed your other recs, so I'm looking forward to this one! I really dig the designs ahahaha
I think you would enjoy Scum's Wish, it's really interesting to see everyone's views on relationships. It's such a quiet show, and very pretty, it's a shame it gets lumped into "another cheap ecchi" category by some people.
I agree with you! When enough time is given to members of both teams, it makes a match or game in any sports series feel so much more intense. One of the things I loved about the Eyeshield 21 manga.
Ahhh so nice that you were able to get those dvds when you did! Those fall into the list of dvds I wanted but couldn't afford at the time ^^; Things have changed now obviously lol
Yeah Nana is an odd one, because as much as I adore it, I do also prefer the more sweetly done Gokinjo Monogatari. I'm hoping we get it over here as well! But I watched it after so so many high school kids stories, and it felt like a breath of fresh air. Plus the whole rock aura while living the horror of new adult life will always be appealing to me. I really need to do a rewatch, but I also just don't feel like crying at the end right now? lol Still I have a lot of love for these characters ^^
Yeah I'm not sure what the future of Nana would be, I know she stopped due to health issues, which is completely understandable. I would welcome a return if it ever came back.
      Thanks Blaize! XD
