- Hello everyone, its me Nichifix! It has been quite some time since this channel last posted a video, but I thought it was due time that we finally return. In today’s upload I will be showing off my anime collection for you all which includes all the blurays and dvd’s that I’ve collected over the past few years.
A bit about my collection, I started collecting anime seriously around 2013. It has pretty much grown and shrank and grown again from there. Its an ongoing cycle like any other. I think like most things a collection should change over time. I feel as though this one is more tailored to my tastes then my previous iterations.

Funny enough I used to be jelly of all the cheap Aniplex releases that dropped in the UK way back when.

So great to see and hear from you again! Your collection is so full of happy nostalgia (and killer titles), and it definitely makes me reflect on my own collection-what titles mean the most to me, and which ones I could probably do without. Would love to see the manga collection if/whenever you get to it!
Very nice anime sets, I have to start buying more anime for my collection and for my enjoyment also. Right now I’m still buying blue ray movies/UHD 4K’s.

it’s funny, couple times a year i find myself thinking about your channel, wondering if you’ll upload again and rewatching old videos. i just love the vibes and you have good taste plus your collection is really impressive especially with the limited editions. i would LOVE a manga collection video! and any other videos you decide to do in the future, i will be here for. happy to see you back!

Sentai Filmworks still makes the best limited editions imo!
Wow, you have more of a collection than i do, and i have a huge collection lol. Very impressive! I'd have a larger collection if i didn't need all the special sets of ranma 1/2, every edition of Evangelion, the Berserk Box of War LE, the soon to be Limited edition release of Code Geass on Crunchyroll and all the Aniplex ones like love is war, your lie in april, i think FMA Brotherhood was in that one too, etc. Aniplex is insanely over-priced. All of those alone are probably worth 3-7k thousand dollars so i could've had a lot more anime but chose quality and to go nuts over my favorites like how you did. I really want that madoka magica LE box set you have. I'll have to look into it for sure.
I think I started collecting around like early 2013 so it all kind of just built up over time. And ooof collecting those special edition boxsets can get very pricey. A few of those Ranma sets have such high price tags.
And I Aniplex sets are insanely overpriced, it's why I have so few of them. Every now and then though they release sets I just can't resist for shows I really resist.

Great video, I’m getting lots of ideas of what to buy from this collection. Anime I would recommend is “Another”, “Kite”, “Mysterious Girlfriend X” and “My Girlfriend is Shobitch”.
Another is really good. I wish I woulv have grabbed it before it went out of print.

The Nozaki kun box set is what I’m about to buy used online (for like $57 usd) because I love the show so much. I’m glad you liked the set, helps me with choosing this over the blu ray alone (which might have saved me like $35 but oh well really excited to get the book)

It's very refreshing to see someone also arrange their anime collection by licensing studios besides just solely in alphabetical order
I try my best. There are a few titles that just won't fit a section due to case/chipboard size that I slide somewhere else. But I always felt organizing by licensor just looks better
id say putting them by genre would be way better imo
I'd highly suggest reading the manga to Heavens lost property / Sora no otoshimono, It has a terrific story that wasn't fully adapted in the anime, and has a good ending!
Anime collection is nice.i starting up it well take some times I looked for sales.blu ray our regular DVD is fine.

First anime bought 2012. I think I seriously started collecting tho in 2013. Been doing the hobby on and off since. Though nowadays I'm alot more selective.

What are the must buy animes on bluray? Im starting a anime bluray collection cant decide haha
Must buys for me are usually based on personal enjoyment of the series. If you really love it and plan on watching it again, buy it for sure. Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, and Space Dandy are staples imo.
I recently built myself a home theatre. Are there any anime blu rays that will take advantage of the better equipment for audio? I don't know if I'll be getting the same quality as crunchyroll streams.
You have Naruto in your collection the uncut box sets or the blu ray sets
I actually do not. I have the Naruto manga so I don't bother to collect anything animated outside the films.

Dude I have a doubt don't blu rays lose their video over time
Disc rot isn't something I'd really worry about in regards to blurays. That primarily effected Lazer disc's and Dvds back in the day that came from poor manufacturing. Some of these sets I've had for well over a decade and they still work perfectly fine. My oldest DVD is 20 years old and still plays fine.
As long as you properly store your disc's in their cases in a good temperature controlled environment everything should be fine.
Hey do you know if they will ever start to make 4k blurays soon?
I know thy are mostly bluray
They are making a very few 4K anime releases. The ones I can think about off the top of my head are Ghost in the Shell and Weathering with You. They are still few an in between. I don't see 4K becoming prominent for awhile. The price of regular blurays is still pretty affordable and the format most (not all) animation peaks at.
There are 4k titles Of Violet Evergarden the movie, Belle and Akira, it’s a slow rollout but Blu-ray is quite satisfactory for animation that doesn’t use too much cg.
@@RestoredMediarecently picked up those violet evergarden blurays. I'm glad they are starting to roll out more of them. Also it seems like Makoto Shinkai's films have been getting that 4K treatment recently. It's nice.
