I definitely use my hobby to fund my hobby. If there is a collectible or pair of shoes that I stopped loving, I use the money to replace them with something I like now.
I let go a lot of my Kpop photocards to fund my anime hobby. I’m probably going to sell more when I go back home when my semester ends. Sometimes interests change and instead of buying more things you can kinda replace them. There is always going to be someone interested in your collection.
There's, mm, some collector in my life that I've been preaching this to for years. 🙃But there are definitely things I hoard, like I'm one to talk... like I am really proud of my CD collection (various anime import stuff before streaming, some DDR), but I never got a cool shelf to display them on. They're just sitting in a waterproof box, like "in case of complete digital data loss, open this." 😆 I'm working on trading things out to appreciate the new stuff, though...! I'm happy you figured it out and are content with your collection! It always looks nice and organized.

At first, I had a large collection of videogames and then sold of a ton of them off. I then collected and then sold shoes. After, I collected and then sold manga and comics. Then why are u buying so much. I would recommend keeping your self to a monthly manga volume limit so u don't buy more so when u buy some manga u end up buying the only ones u really want and will read right away and don't be shy not to buy manga from vol.1 if u have already watched the anime till a certain point. Great video, I totally agree with this and started doing it myself I sold all my CSM because I read it and I realised I wasn't bothered about it I finished reading it to see if I'd change my mind but I didn't. I sold them to someone who would appreciate them more I did that with rent a girlfriend and I'm thinking of doing it with spy family as I'm not overly enjoying it it's good in some areas and I love some of characters but others I'm not too fussed about

And im so glad i took it easy because i got back into gaming and am now building my gaming collection back up after selling some stuff years ago so i just decided to collect slow and try and keep to things i absolutely love instead of just like. It can be tough, somethings i fall out of love with from time to time.

I’ve never seen a store selling manga in my country, so it’s really hard to sell manga. I end up just donating the books instead. Facebook marketplace is also not available in my country so there’s no accessible platform to put things up for sale.
One thing I have to let go was the first 3 volumes of Gin Tama I had and how I wanted to collect the series BUT seeing that it stop after volume 23 and how expensive they are getting...
Nope, nothing for me. So far when it comes to Manga I am VERY picky and particular on what I pick-up and get into. Currently only have like 15 series that I have collected/collecting. With only about 3-4 that I'm curious to check out. I just don't spring for anything, even if it's something that everyone says is the new hotness. I'm just not one to dive into everything or seek out everything. At best I'll finish what I'm collecting now and then just catch stuff online and only if something REALLY grabs me, will I go to collect it. Because honestly, there's just WAY too much Manga out there and I think, pertaining to space, money and addiction/obsession....there's def a stopping point for everyone...though that's gonna be a different threshold for each individual. As far as non-manga stuff, the only thing I could see myself selling and getting rid of would be maybe some of the Amiibos I have, so far that isn't happening, but all my books, Manga, movies, statues and videogames that I've collected over the years, I love too much and not gonna get rid of.
