I received one from my grandfather once he passed... still in original box... unfortunately it's not working properly, so I'm still considering paying the $ to have Omega restore it to its original glory... not my type, but as I continue to research about it and learn about it, it's starting to grow on me... great video!

I have my grandfather's Omega Seamaster De Ville in the original box and all the papers. It is as new condition. Have the "International Guarantee" with the Movement Number, Metal Reference, Grandfathers name , the jeweler, Pontiac Wholesale Jewelers and the sale date.
He worked in the automotive industry and it was a retirement gift from his employer. I have the congratulations card from the company. It is really a lovely timepiece.

One day I see the box on my bookcase so I called him, "why did you bring your great-grandfather's watch back?" His response, :The watch is like brand new dad, if I put any kind of blemish on it I would never forgive myself,"
A great video would be to get all of these people that have inherited watches together so they can share their story, who it came from, why they feel it came to them, what the person meant to them and of course the timepiece.

165.020 is an automatic, no-date watch and 166.020 is an automatic, date watch.

Hi, I got this Watch from my father, and I was just wondering about the omega automatic label. My watch only has the omega label at the top and the sea master de ville at the bottom. Do you think my watch is older because it’s not automatic?

Remember that the L-sound is pronounced in "Ville" since it is an exception to the rule that a double L is silent in French. :)
So after the launch in 1967 of the deville, did they also keep making the seamaster deville?
