The quality of the workmanship is always matched by the warmth of the commentary. Doesn't get better than this!
Yes the commentary is beautiful
Completely agree.
Proper entertainment. Interesting too!
It’s always a joy that lifts the heart!
Yes fantastic, and interesting as usual, the humourous commentary adds to the vid and makes it more interesting than other watch repair channels.
The patience and steadiness it takes to do this is insane. I find myself holding my breath.
Lol I saw a documentary once about this micro-carver. You know those guys that write on a grain of rice and such. Well, he did alot of swimming cardio every day, to lower his rest heart beat, because the pounding of the heart shakes the body. He had gotten his down to 30 beats per minute. No doubt one of the best in shape people on the planet. smh lol
They should do a rice carving video. I would watch. Especially if he's nekkid!🙂
@@lindaali6703 Nekkid with his cute little part time assistant.
Especially when springs are removed and replaced...
I swear as Joe rebuilds the watch my heart beat drops. Love watching this channel. The commentary makes it for me. Down to earth and very chilled. Super effort as always. Thanks Joe. Now tell me where do I buy one of the watches you restore?
My grandfather was a watchmaker, and a true gentleman. Now, at agee 78 myself, I wish I'd learnt the skill from him. I liked this video a lot, and subscribed. Thanks for sharing. Anyone who does such great restoration work, or helps to keep dying skills alive is bound to get my deep respect. Thank you.
The commentary is half the joy. As well as the voice of your kid. Don't change anything. :) Your cheerful disposition is infectious. And what a greeting for the season! I'm watching in April 2022 but the good wishes you give is timeless.
"how much was the machine", "it cost me a week on the sofa" is my future answer to all price questions. Happy Christmas
....
He is a millionaire I doubt it’s a issue for him.
Absolutely awesome you saved that watch and given it a new life
How can i buy a watch from you. Pls. Let me know.

I've watched about 6 different watch repair sites and this is the only one where the vintage cases are restored to almost new condition. It really give me pleasure to see how a horribly scratched up case can be improved with the right skill and tolls such as the Nekkid Watchmaker possesses.
This isn't simply watch restoration, this is artistry!
I’ve watched this restoration through twice now, I always find I’m more relaxed and clam when I finish viewing your restorations. Your calm demeanor relaxes me, and I really enjoy your bantering with your son.
Thank you 🙏
As a heavy diesel mechanic I marvel at the intricate workings compared to my large clumsy hammer bashing approach to some facets of my work. So similar in nature, yet so completely different in design. Thanks for another incredible tutorial.
I am with you totally. I was a maintenance engineer in the oil industry. I cannot imagine even trying to see the small part of a watch.
And yet you definitely don’t want to call him to build you a bridge or even a simple house. So weird because this is so foreign to guys like us who make big things being astounded, when he would certainly be equally so if he watched us do our works. (Diesel is so hard because you need so many different skills plus you have to be both strong and tough).
@@andyrbush I'm in your camp on this one. I was a long time in the gas & water utilities. Made a move to maintenance in a cheese factory.
Both demand different but equally vital and admirable skills.
I love how you involve your kids, I love your humor, I love watching your skills at work. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for posting such great content.

There are a very few people like you remaining on this planet. Se need to protect this amazing man. Your positivity and love vibrates through you videos. God bless you :)
It is incredible to watch you and watch watches. I had no idea there could be so many parts in a watch. I’m impressed you know where to put them all back!
Without ever collecting watches, we have collected a far amount of them, as my husband has inherited all his ancestors pocket watches, and I have inherited two gold watches, one valued at $8000 thirty years ago. I love how watches was a symbol of wealth and importance hundreds of years ago, and then it became art, design, fashion, while we today don’t need any as we have our mobile. Thank God for people like you who takes care of these forgotten treasures!
I absolutely love how you can take an old broken watch and make it look great and work again. Repairing old broken things and making them work again warms my soul. Thank you very much.
I love how you include your son. Whether he follows in your footsteps later on in life or not. These are the times he will cherish forever and this is why you are the only watch maker I watch on here ❤️
The way you resurfaced and plated that case is just phenomenal. Also, I prefer to hear you talk and interact with your child during the video. Thanks for the video my Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
As a watch lover, I was drawn to this channel because of your watchmaking skills. I’m even more impressed by your humility, kindness, and genuineness. Thank you, keep up the awesome work.
What a fantastic renovation ! I have just sent my late father-in-law’s vintage
Seamaster in for a service, I hope that the people taking care of it are as sympathetic to it as you have been the one shown in the video.
Absolutely brilliant restoration. 🙌🏻 But your son was the true star helping you along the way! 👍🏻
After watching thousands of UA-cam videos this man is the only presenter toward whom I developed warm personal feelings and wished we were acquainted.
Your patience on the bench is amazing, but your patience with your children’s interruptions is incredible. Thank you.
Thank you 🙏
I tear up when I watch your videos. My dad, long since passed, was a tool and die maker. Your videos give me insight into the world for which he lived. Hats off again to you, sir!
There is nothing more satisfying or fully engrossing than watching a true master of a delicate and complicated craft practice his trade. Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas!
My granfather passed a few years back and in his deposit box was the same watch in your video that he received for 25 years of service at his company back in 1978. The back is engraved with the company name and years of service presented to him in 1978. It has never been worn and looks like the day he received it. I really enjoyed your video and appreciate it more than words can express.
I am in awe of your remembering what goes where when there are so many little pieces to take out and put back together. To be able to organize them is already a feat!
Many watches have a very similar structure; with experience, one learns to recognize each part and what goes where. But the screws definitely need to be kept organized.
An outstanding restoration. Seeing this watch come back to life and beauty is wonderful.
True quality work that takes dedication, knowledge, skill and patience. The watch looks stunning at the end!
What an absolute pleasure to watch a craftsman, doing what he does best, thank you for putting your video on line for us all to enjoy.
I enjoyed it all !! Congrats for this Master peace of Omega sir !!👌😎👍🙌👏👏👏
Your skills combined with humour and the little stars is unique and always brings a smile to my face. Thank you for the extra time you take to make these videos. Fantastic job by the way.
Mr. Nekkid. I'm trapped here home because I may have caught the new ( Beer Flu ) and getting tested here in NYC is nearly impossible. I couldn't celebrate with family and friends until I was sure so I was a little bummed out but your latest video hade me happy. Thank You so much and Blessings to you and your family.. .
As a 30 year jeweler I took up the basics of watch repair decades ago. I still farm out the Rolex internals but do the case and band restorations. Nice work.
I got in touch with the world of watches thanks to your videos, nice job as always.Greetings from Italy 💪🏻
Best watch channel on UA-cam Mr Nekkid ..knowledge,skill,banter and humour. You have it all sir.Stay safe and all the best,I look forward to more videos from you.
You’re an expert at your craft and even more importantly, you’re a wonderful dad! ❤️
That is one of the most extraordinary things I've seen on video. Wow. A friend sent this to me and I am blown away. Thank you for your commitment to your craft. It's super inspiring.
To my surprise,I've watched the whole video, even thouh I was lost after the removal of the third screw, your humor made this serious repair plaisant to watch.
I appreciate it and I'll be back.Thanks
Had I sneezed in the middle of a rebuild of this type, we would still be looking for all the parts this time next year. Your workmanship is truly amazing! Blessings to you and yours in the next year. Thank you for sharing!!
lol
Or worse covered all the parts in snot as you sneezed. So you have to clean them again.
I am absolutely in love with this watch. My favorite thing about it is the dial and the worn look against the gorgeously refinished case. You can't find that in a store. It's perfect! Thanks and as always......top notch!
The complexity of these watch constructions never stops to amaze me ! And all of that wonderful stuff is hidden inside that rather boring housing… incredible !
I start watching these watch repair/cleaning videos and I get memorized and can't stop.
It's so uplifting to watch these restorations. I love the input from your "little monster" as well. His dad is a kind, witty, and supremely talented man.
I am in awe. Yes, the fancy tools help, but without your skill, it would not be possible! Congrats on 200K!
A true craftsman. I build Models. Mostly 1/25 -1/24 scales. And when I am working. My son he is now 23 used to always be right there like you son is. I started building models when I was 12 years old. Now I am 63. And alone the way. My skills have been become better. Thanks for bringing us this very informative information.
Thank you 🙏
I wish I had this type of relationship when I was a kid. Love the videos and the humour.
Bought a similar one in the late 80s for my dad retirement.9k gold but it was not a Deville.Brought back a lot of memories. Its not just admiring your wonderful skills. You actually, sometimes, trigger off some personal thoughts.Thank you.
Thanks for the X-Mas gift. So good to see you back doing a full length restoration. The lapping machine is a beaut, but Trouble's right, mind your fingers. Hope you and the Nekkid family have a safe New Year.
I don't know how you have the patience to do work like that. always a pleasure to watch you work and so calming. peace to you and your family.
Great restoration. I love how this style of watch shows that gold can be elegant and not just bling.
That was nothing short of amazing. The watch was transformed from a throw-away derelict to a beautiful collector's piece. And the narration adds is just right - not too much, not too little, entertaining and informative. Thank you very much indeed.
It never ceases to amaze me in that you can bring back to life a piece of mechanical art that looks fit for the bin. A fantastic job. Merry Christmas and a happy new yes to you and yours.
I love the commentary that’s a main part of the soothing quality of your videos !!!
You a great guy. Just like me you go all out in saving the old broken watches. Envy you for that. I am not a watch repairer and not gifted like you but I get the old thrown ones serviced and preserve them for the next generation. God Bless You...
I really love this channel. Your obvious expertise at your craft, as well as video techniques is a joy to watch. And your wonderful laid-back commentary is also very entertaining. A week on the sofa, lol.

A fabulous festive treat. Thank you and please keep them coming. What you do is truly amazing.
That Omega came out fantastically. I could see that on my wrist!!!
This was truly a restoration. I'd have to say what I've seen on other channels is more of a "preservation," i.e., service, repair and stop damage. Your end result was beautiful. I had no idea a watch in that condition could be restored to that level.
Another fantastic video. I own a Geneve with a calibre 563 manufactured in 1969. This was a very enjoyable service.
I worked in surgery for something over 20 years and assisted on a few hundred open heart procedures and a handful of facial fracture repairs. I have retired into gunsmithing where tolerances are often within a couple ten-thousandths of an inch. So I watch videos like this to remind myself there are craftsmen who work at an entirely different level.
guns should be banned
@@Funtimefoxy83937 you want to ban guns so I can't make a living? That doesn't sound very friendly. What happened to tolerance?
@@robertlemmon9186 Hopefully you're going to set up in Australian then.
@@Funtimefoxy83937 Nonsense, vehicles come way before guns - all that yuk blowing up into our rear ends, just like your comment.
@@nifty1940 I hadn't thought of that, but it sounds good. When you can't buy new, fixing the old is a pretty good alternative. Thanks 👍
I could listen to this man all day every day.
A master craftsman who enjoys his work….‘I like to eat eat eat…..apples and bananas 🎶😊
It’s tough to be both entertaining and informative but you do both wonderfully. You are truly a craftsman. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us.
Wow, what a transformation. Omega looks amazing compared to what you started with. truly a gifted watchmaker. hard for me to fathom how people neglect such awesome looking pieces from the past such as this.
Wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and certainly a very Happy New Year. take care and stay safe and as always looking forward to your next video.
I second that.
I know nothing about watches but enjoy your dedication and expertise with a chuckle here and there as you disassemble and repair
Thank you
I love the running commentary! I talk to myself a lot while I work on projects.
Extraordinary & impressive job ! Knowledge of tiny parts & screws of putting them back - hats off !
I have enjoyed your clever repartee in the face of dirty plates and gears! The care and helpful commentary you bring makes watching you work fun. As a fan with no watchmaking skills whatever I get mesmerized as the disassembly and reassembly happens. Keep doing what you do, Maestro!!
That's exactly how I feel.
It's so mesmerising it makes me calm and forget what is going on in the world.
Love this channel so much.
My Grandfather would have loved this.✌😀
Best watch restorer on UA-cam, I like to see a watch fully restored to its former glory, you always do that. Magnificent
I love the older non electric watches the best. You made it beautiful again. Thank you.
Another fabulous rescue mission. It always astounds me how some folk treat their time pieces - there ought to be an horology statute for crimes against watches. I might found the RSPCW. Happy Holidays, Sir.
I’m not a watch repairer but love watches, I really enjoyed this presentation and love your sense of humour, so skilled, very well done 👍
What a tremendous job of resurrection. So grateful for your gracious, funny and calm being on this channel. Trouble is growing up!
Absolutely stunning outcome, fantastic results thank you for your hard work
“Dad how much did that machine cost” ?
“A week on the sofa” priceless!
It's very pleasing to see a master craftsman doing an excellent work on a beautiful object.
The Geneve is my most hated Omega but I made it through the whole video. Bravo sir. Love the kids interaction.
These videos are great. Thanks for the walk throughs and the laughs. I blew air out of my nose more times than I can count
Love the enthusiasm and work you put in to restoring vintage pieces no matter the value of the watch the skill to get it back into someone’s life for another 5 decades is amazing……
This video is the best Christmas present I received! Thanks so much Joe! An absolute stunning restoration! And your video is excellently done!
Best wishes to you and yours and best of luck for a grand 2022!
Amazing Talent, Skill, and CRAFTMENSHIP
and most of all
PATIENT!
THAT'S ALL FOLKS
I love the way you’re so patient with your child and even if he interrupts your shot you never shoo him away.
Fantastic. I like restoring/repairing things since I could first hold a swiss army knife steady enough to not give myself injuries (of concerning extent, at least). Your profession does amaze me a little bit more each time You let me watch, Mr Watch-Healer. Thank You for all those breath-holds, amazed exclamations and relieved sighs once the original "thing" is brought back to "ensouled work of art".
Another lovely episode with a lovely watch at the end. Your sign-off touches on the most important points of life and always makes my heart sing 🎶. Now I will go on to the rest of my day basking in that glow!
Thank you for bringing back the memories. I have not worked on a watch since I finished my trade 30 years ago.
This was very entertaining in that your attention to detail was showcased. Thank you for restoring these classics properly.
In my opinion, this is the most beautiful watch you've done yet! The work you put in to this piece is amazing and it looks like it belongs in a showcase. Another beautiful job by The Wizard!
It's amazing just how much goes into a wrist watch. Their amount of parts is incredible.
I do like the way your Pikin just insert themselves into your videos, it's heartwarming and refreshing to see.
You are very good at watchmaking but, I suspect, even better at Parenthood.
Respect, my friend.
No please not in silence, I love the technical information, funny sarky comments and also the input from your little ones, they sound like right characters
I love watching your videos. You have piqued my interest in watches, where none existed before. Keep up the amazing work and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
As soon as you took the back off I knew, this is going to be a great vid! I like the repairs and restorations, but watching the restoration from a really bad condition is the most riveting! Seeing every disgusting component brought back to new! 🥰
GREAT video! My wife and I really enjoy your videos. You, the Accountant & Trouble are wonderful additions to UA-cam.
Thank you Frank
Wow so many tiny pieces that make up a mechanical watch that we all just put on our wrists and take for granted. I am totally amazed how you dismantled the watch for restoration and put it back together as well.
It's been a while since we last heard from you. This must be my favourite video.
The restoration of the case was brilliant.
I know that many watchmakers shy away from this, but the result speaks for itself.
Thank you.
And another fine job you've done Ollie! Seriously it was an amazing work to bring it back to a useful life for someone. Blessings to you !
Absolutely awesome you saved that watch and give it a new life
What a pleasure to watch a watch be restored by true craftsmanship ,thank you!
Merry Christmas everyone
What a warm, friendly, and always humorous voiced video. And with really a beautiful and fantastic result due to your commitment, talent and masterful craftsmanship, absolutely stunning!
I am a car mechanic. But watching you doing your work gives me Relaxation
So you bring me hope in fixing my 1967 Omega Sea Wolf. The watch looked a lot like mine you restored brilliantly. Stay well, looking forward to more of your restorations. 🇺🇸
This is one of the most beautiful case restoratios I have seen. Great job!
An absolute master in his field...
Love watching these videos
