    You sir are a true craftsman. The intricate delicate internal parts are mind boggling and you handled them with ease. I have a Seamaster Deville that my wife gave me as a Christmas gift in 1969, and I’ve worn it daily, except for sports and yard work, since then. I had it serviced in 1999 and the jeweler had the foresight to send it to Switzerland, which took about eight weeks to get back. It’s now in bad need of service and there aren’t any local jewelers that I’m comfortable with to do the work. It still keeps good time but the auto wind isn’t working too well. Any suggestions to where I can send it for service would be appreciated. Excellent video.

    Suisse Made. It's not simple as that - it is an Omega.

    to get the beat error from 5.5 to 0.2 ms is amazing.. must have taken quit some time fiddling with the hairspring, or is this not so bad with these watches? too bad that's not shown, but I can imagine it's difficult to film as well.. great job either way!

    Loved this video. So peaceful just watching all the steps. Would you know how to fit the crystal with tension ring for this specific model 166.020?

    I have a 1961 Omega Seamaster Chronograph with the 321 movement, case number 14360. It’s in need of full restoration and service. I believe the balance wheel needs repair as well. Can you help me? Trying my best not to send it to Omega because the will restore the watch to like new condition but, I would like to keep the patina on the dial.

    Nice work Karol. Did you remove the bezel using the recommended Omega tool, a case knife or one of the bezel opening devices? I have the same watch which has a speck of dirt on the seconds hand and just need to get the bezel off to clean it.

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  Рік тому +2

      there are several possibilities. I usually open the omega monocoque with pressure and the bezel often pops off with the glass. sometimes I use a knife and for very tight ones I have a special 4-blade puller. it all depends on the watch, every case is different
      regards

      hello, sorry but i don't understand the question. Are you asking about the tension ring inside the glass?

    Is it possible to use a real glass crystal with an anti-reflective coating instead of the original plastic crystal? Or would a glass crystal ruin the value of the watch. Since there are many of these watches I wouldn't think it would do any harm to use a glass crystal. I could be wrong though. I'm not an expert.

      It's impossible, most vintage Omega glasses have domes. The watch hands are under the dome

    how did you remove the stem at the beginning ?

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  Рік тому

      hello, in case monocoque type. the stem is two-piece - split stem this was one of the watch's problems, the stem ripped out when trying to disconnect it.
